ATT LG G Flex 2 Possible to Downgrade to 5.0.1? - LG G Flex 2

I would like to try the PR version but I can't flash it directly from 5.1.1. I need to downgrade if possible.

I did that and mine was stuck too... just download the LG Flex Tool to get it into download mode then re-run the H950PR firmware.

I couldn't get mine into download mode either... I thought it was permanently hard bricked. I was trying to get it into download mode myself by holding the buttons down all it kept doing was restarting to the logo screen an staying there flashing. Then I would hold every button down for a full minute before the screen would go black but it would start right up again before I could get it into download mode. I gave up on that and kept going back and forth between the LG Flex Tool and the LG Easy unlock tool and I swear I don't know what kicked in but between those 2 tools it finally happened... I actually had tears in my eyes when I saw that download mode screen. lol I've been rooting and unlocking bootloaders for years now... I've barely posted here because I've never had problems I couldn't fix but this was downright scary. Give it a shot if you still have the phone.

There really is no tutorial... and there are two tools. The LG Flex Tool and the Easy Root tool for 5.1.1. I just went back and forth between the two tools until it finally kicked in. The link for the easy root tool is here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/g-flex2/development/root-easy-root-att-flex-2-5-1-1-t3178354
and the Flex Tool is here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/g-flex2/general/p-restore-recovery-to-stock-tool-h950-t3171550
With either one of them I just picked my version of of my LG Flex and followed the directions... if I didn't get download mode in one of them I would switch to the other tool and try again. After going back and forth between the 2 of them for over half and hour download mode finally kicked in. I then flashed it back to the H950PR with the LG Flash Tool. This is the link for that.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/g-flex2/general/kdz-compatible-att-h950-t3180847
Just remember if you get your phone into download mode you can try to fix your phone with the Flex Tool since there is an option to unbrick if your build number is listed but if not you will have to flash it with the Flash Tool.

[Q] LG Optimus One bricked after failed reflash

Hello XDA-Developers
Before I am writing this, I want to say that I am relative jung and my English is not the best.
1 Year ago I rooted my phone, it worked great and so on.
After a half yeah I updatet the firmware on 2.3.3, but the root was still there.
No Problem, yesterday I wanted to install the cyagon-mod and I wanted first to flashback to the old Baseband @ 2.2.2.
I use the KDZ Updater and try to flashback to 2.2.2, but I followed the tutorials here, but at the time of flashing I
got a problem! The KDZ Updater sayed there was a fail. I attached the log. (Maybe the kdz file was damaged?)
I pulled it out and I took out the battery.
......
Now I think my LG Optimus one is bricked.
I if I try to start the phone nothing happend, if I try to get to the recovery mode it won´t give me a signal.
If I plug it into my PC with LG united Mobile Drivers installed it won´t get to the recovery mode.
I saw that I have a C++ runtime enviroment is that a Problem?
Is there probaly a method to repair the phone? Or can someone at my local mobilephone shop repair my mobile

then its hard bricked
and i think u have your warranty over so just buy a new phone the company will charge u too much if u are hard bricked
No.. phone repair stores cant help you.
You have to do it yourself or take it to LG service centre.
First press Back + Vol up + Power button.. see if you get yellow emergency mode.
If no your phone is hard bricked.. no way to repair.. but stil search the forum.. see if you can make it work.
See if this helps
If emergency mode is working.. then you can easily recover your phone.
Here
Flash the recovery and then flash any rom of your choice!!

[How TO] Unbrick, hard bricked LG Optimus One (P500)

I was using
Device: LG Optimus One P500
Recovery: ClockworkMod 5.0.2.7
Kernel version: 2.6.35.10
Android version: 4.2.1
Current ROM: GenetICS 9.1.7
Then I downloaded another custom ROM [4.2.1]PACman 19.9.0 [PA][AOKP][CM](seems to be deleted now). Stating thats its some updated version of previous ROM.
Downloaded through XDA app and then opened it directly with ROM Manager to install it.
But unfortunately something went wrong and my phone got stuck on boot logo i.e. LG. :silly:
Then I tried to repair it with KDZ updater using V20c-00 firmware. Everything worked fine. I rooted it through SuperOne click and installed CWM recovery through ROM Manager. :victory:
Till then everything was looking under control.
After that I tried to flash another ROM through CWM Recovery, but again i got stuck on Boot Logo. I tried to repair it once again with KDZ updater as I did it previously, but everytime KDZ updater showed error.
Now my phone is not even responding to anything means not with hard keys combos or something. :crying:
I am not able to find any solution for this, even I searched it a lot.
Please please help me.
Edit: If only LG can help me now, can anyone tell me how much it will cost?
Unfortunately, if you removed the battery after KDZ gives out an error, you have hard-bricked your phone. Only LG can help you now
There is an emergency mode you can attempt, as long as you have the software on your computer to flash factory settings on to your phone.
To access emergency mode, do the following:
1) Take out the battery
2) Have a usb cable already connected to the computer.
3) Hold the power button + volume up + back button AND then connect the usb while holding those buttons
Yellow screen will appear with the words emergency mode in the middle.
At this point, do some forum searching, find some kind of stock image file and LG program to flash stock system on to the phone.
*there is also a forum post somewhere here that I learnt this stuff off of...see if you can find it

I have not had any luck with KDZ or LGMDP with a device stuck in Emergency Mode. I have two P506's that are stuck in Emergency Mode, thanks to KDZ. I have tried every fix I can find here and on several other forums with no luck. I don't want to discourage you, but don't get your hopes up either.
I know this is OT, but...

I remember being successful with the LGMDP in emergency Mode with the P500, even though the stock rom that i used didnt quite work with the phone it got me past the boot logo and gave me access back into my recovery. Once you can at least get into the recovery you are golden (for the most part).
OT:
Thanks shinobi. I've been lurking xda for a while now since i got the p500, just recently i really wanted to post in rashed's thread for issues/bugs i found with the cm10.1 rom

No luck to me guys. As I already mentioned that there is no response from phone, not even emergency mode.
Now I tried with even JTAG still no luck.
Went to LG day before yesterday as that was the only hope. But unfortunately my phone is out of warranty and the cost of motherboard is almost equal to the cost of phone itself.
So, that means I have no other option besides keeping it with me as a precious piece of brick.
Thanks to KDZ_Updater.

Cost of motherboard from LG was 8800/- Indian Rupees. And the total cost of phone was 9999/- Indian Rupees.
But I got it repaired in 1800/- Indian Rupees with JTAG. Thanks to a local mobile repair shop.
But I am afraid that this service may not be available in your country.
I am also from India buddy. But I don't think so I could fund jtag in my city.

Hi a_loo!
I Have a LG P500 2.3.3 V20e.
I rooted it today without any problem. Loaded ROM manager, flashed ClockworkMod recovery.
Then I downloaded from Cyanogen cm-7.2.0-p500.zip and placed it on the SD card.
And from ROM manager I did an "install ROM from SD card."
It worked for a while the it froze with a cyanogenmod 7 image. None of the controls & buttons and working.
I'm rather new and trying not to panic.
I'd really appreciate your assistance.

No LG uses adb and or terminal script. Odin is made for flashing alot of phones at once or a rookies one phone. adb and term is for everything else. learn your code!

I followed that guide (both the original and the one-click version that was posted a few pages in), and neither worked on my LG Risio (from Cricket Wireless). It didn't brick the phone, though. In both cases it just stopped in Download Mode on the phone where it said a new firmware was being installed. The progress stayed at 0% and never moved, and the root script in the command line on my PC just waited indefinitely. The phone was just fine afterwards, like nothing was even changed.
Does anyone know a root method that works for this phone?

I was just saying above that that guide didn't work for me. It just hung whenever I tried to transfer anything to the phone.

I followed that guide (both the original and the one-click version that was posted a few pages in), and neither worked on my LG Risio (from Cricket Wireless). It didn't brick the phone, though. Just out of curiosity, after entering this command sh /tmp/lg_root.sh dummy 1 /tmp/UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip /tmp/busybox, did the script output look the same as in the guide? Did you type LEAVE in capitals - it doesn't worrk with lower case.

I also recently bricked my lg risio. when i turn it on it shows the LG logo and say security error and then shuts down. i tried putting it download mode. My computer detects it but will not allow me access to what is on the phone. I gave up and tried to factory reset it, only to see the same error screen. I rooted and installed mods on my old HTC before, but have since forgotten this lengthy process. Someone please help. Thankyou

There's any hope for hard bricked Moto G3? (no fastboot, Qdloader 9008)

Hi guys its the 3rd time that i post here in the forum hopping to restore my "dead" Moto G3 XT1543 1GB RAM Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916).
Some days ago I've unlock my phone bootloader in order to install CM14.1 and i did it with success! but my sim card wasn't working, so, I tried to look for a solution. And I found a video on youtube that showed the supost fix for this issue, but i was wrong. I've flashed the file which broke my phone immediately and now my phone doesn't do ANYTHING!! Well, at least it shows on my computer as QDLoader 9008 but for now on I dont know what I have to do! I know that the easiest way to fix it is buying another motherboard, but I think that still hope for someone to find the way to fix it! Well, if the pc recognizes the processor so there's something to be done right?
I had searched all over the internet during this week, and I found some interesting possible ways to fix it, but im not a developer so I need help and opinions from other people.
1)The first way was to change the mode to 9006 aka diag mode though some files wich in theory allows you to acces eMMC partition and restore all the 29 inside partition and recover your phone. The problem is: I don't know how to change it to diag mode, but yea i have the needed files, and i don't have the tool to acces the eMMC of the phone and i dont have a backup of the partitions to write over the corrupted ones.
2)The second way was to use this tutorial *http://www.droidsavvy.com/unbrick-qualcomm-mobiles/* that i still havent tried since my phone isn't with me right now. So, in this supose way we can contact the phone through a tool called QFIL and try to "Inject" the bootloader or whatever, in the phone to foce him into a bootloop and so enabling the fastboot mode which allows you to install a rom later on. well the problem for this one is, i dont know if it works on your moto g3 but i gonna try. (if you try this option tell me and i gonna upload the needed files because the folder avaliable in the link contais files for the processor Snapdragon 610 and Moto G3 processor is a 410)
3) The third way is a Jtag repair in a authorized store, but i dont think Moto G3 have a jtag fix (im posting this possibility because i could be wrong)
4) In this way could be a updated Blank Flash actually used to hard unbrick the Moto G1 and I Guess the G2? But im not a developer and I dont know too much about programing, but i'm sure someone out there is a pro
5) Use the QPST which is kinda the same thing as use a eMMC tool? ( again im not a dev ) and from what i got, is used to config all your phone from scratch. would be good if there's a tuto out there
6) Sit and wait till Motorola release the MBM-CI 5.0 which from what i got is used like the Blank Flash or used to make a Blank Flash idk
AGAIN!!! IM NOT A DEV, THIS IS JUST SOME WAYS THAT I FOUND OUT THERE ON THE INTERNET WHICH COULD BE USED TO FIX YOUR BELOVED MOTO G3!! SO, I'M SHARING ALL MY RESEACH WITH YOU GUYS BECAUSE IS A SHAME HAVE TO DUMP MY DEVICE LIKE THAT OR HAVE TO EXPEND LIKE R$ 500 IN A NEW MOTHER BOARD WHICH IN DOLLAR ITS LIKE 1600 U$D (this is Brazil guys yea it's a horrible country T_T ) SO I HOPE THAT THIS POST HELPS SOMEBODY AND IF YOU GOT SOME INFO SHARE TO HELP US TRY TO FIX THE PHONE!
hey you got successful??? in unbricking your phone?

You'll need blankflash for this device, that's the only thing which will take it back to bootloader mode so you can flash a firmware. Blankflash is usually found in stock firmwares, however the chances are kinda low

yeah, you can try but the models are different and also the partitions inside the phone... try it out and if it works you can post here
No u can't try the Moto g2 firmware..... As Moto g2 is also waiting for MBM CI 5 file for lollipop and Motorola is not releasing those file needed for blankflash
Sorry to bump needlessly but has there been any progress in this regard?
Has anyone found a solution or blankflash files?
I managed to hardbrick my device while trying to resize the system and userdata partitions (stupid, I know)

No... And just like previous Moto devices, it is unlikely we will ever get the necessary files.
Same situation, any updates?
I'm currently facing the same situation with XT1543, it ran Marshmallow 6.0 stock (came with Lollipop) and suddenly it hard bricked (last time i checked there were no software updates and even if there were, the phone would not restart itself to update). I ran blankflash but the results were these:
greeting device for command mode
opening device: \\.\COM3
OKAY [ 0.001s]
greeting device for command mode
FAILED (blank-flash:greet-device:error reading packet)

If you can't get to the bootloader, it's toast... we do not have the proper files to do a Qload reflash, and the chances of getting them are near zero.
Try the usual... drain the battery and hold Power+Vol Dn (normal method to access bootloader) or press and hold Power+Vol Dn for 15-30 seconds, if you can't get to the bootloader there is NO recovery method available. Sorry.

+1 on this.
The only other thing I would do is take it apart and detach one wire from battery and short that lose wire to the other wire (short the phone, NOT the battery!) for 15 sec or so and reconnect wire to battery and put phone back together and try boot to bootloader (power plus vol-dn). If no go, at that point if it were worth it I would give it to ATT to fix, or toss it in the drawer for parts.
I too hard bricked my g3.
My PC detected it as Qualcomm 9008 mode
Plz help how to solve this

If there is no bootloader and the only thing that can be seen on the computer is QdLoader mode, it's done... Send it to Moto for repair or send it to the recycler, there is no fix we can do.
