i have a tmobile samsung galaxy s6 edge, in the xda tmobile edge threads there are like 4 roms available and hey are kind of boring, my question is can i installed any type of rom for the edge? or have to be only from the mobile threads?
thanks in advance
I think as long as your model number matches, you should be fine.
I have never used a carrier branded rom so i can be wrong.
But in my experience as long as your phone model no is supported, you should be OK.
Cheers!!

I think thats these roms with edge features do work good on the edge just need a compatible kernel thats it. I have a 920t and flash 925 roms with no issues just flash a 920 kernel. Doesnt matter if uts not a 925t rom. I have like 3 weeks running a 925f rom.

I'm already using the Verizon S6 but I'm thinking of moving my plan to At&t. My S6 and my wife's iPhone 6 are having issues with dripping calls because if there is a week 4g signal the phone drops to 1x and my drop the call. I am tired of CDMA and want to have the freedom to use any phone.
I really like the S6. I'm rooted and I easily get a full day out of my phone now. I want to buy a unlocked version of this phone to use on at&t. Which is the better unlocked version? Can I root any of the stock Roms on this phone or do I need to stay away from a particular version of ROM that may not be root able.
Also are the boot loaders unlocked?

Most of the phones like branded companies come with bootloader locked! U can easily unlock and the procedure is specific to phone models (but most of the phones with fastboot mode follow same code set except the I'd, it's unique for a model). Once your bootloader is unlocked and you are on a custom recovery you need not bother much. U just have to flash supersu zip and you are rooted (no matter what rom you are on).

If you wanna keep root try a t Mobile. Att is locked bootloader alike verizon. Right now on 5.02 you can root but on 5.1.1 dont think so. I have a tmo variant and im using europes 920f custom roms.

i have a sprint samsung galaxy s6 , my question is, are there certain roms that are compatible with the s6 and the s6 edge ? or are they all compatible ? or are they comletely different devices? also if they are , what are the differences? other than the obvious rounded edge?
So far i believe it safe to flash edge onto s6 with s6 kernel, really have no business flashing an s6 rom on edge unless edge base was made to build it.

Look through this list of threads for Sprint S6 edge, there are some ROMs listed.
