model is old but still working smoothly.
Nice to know that but there isn't any requirement of thread for this reason. Thread closed.

I am confused as to where requests for assistance should be posted. Do I see a forum -- and a subforum?
We have XDA Assist, which is unlocked to new posts, and then we have Post New Thread, also unlocked and accepting new posts.
I read the documentation for the main forum, and thought I'd post my assistance request there. I only saw there was another area after I posted in the first area.
Or does it make no difference? Sorry, but if this information is already available, somewhere, please give me a link. Couldn't find it!
It depends on your problem. The nature of XDA Assist is to help users in looking for the right place for their issue. For Ex. for your phone, we do not have a Sub Forum Defined. So you'd go to
> Android Development and Hacking
forum. Within it, you can either post in Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting if you have a problem you can't solve. Other wise if its a general discussion on the phone, you can post in Android General
Does that make sense ?
Question that started this thread is answered, may be closed.

Well ... still confused.
Maybe the threads XDA Assist and Post New Thread, are in fact one and the same?
They seemed to be separate, but perhaps I should take note of the first few posts in each, and see if they're the same?
Anyway, I posted in the XDA Assist thread, and it seems to be working -- I see my other post has one reply.
No one else seems confused, so I guess it's just me. :silly:
Different question from different thread answered, both threads may be closed.
So, I'll go to --
> Android Development and Hacking
and then, since it's not a problem needing troubleshooting but just something general on how Android works (I doubt it's phone specific) I think I'll put it into 'Android General'.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction! And the instructions for this forum say the moderator will close the thread when the advice has been given, so please feel free to do so, now.
The UK variant of the HANNspree Hanspad is running the same hardware as the US. The only difference is the OS which is running 4.4 KitKat.
We in the US have been left in the gutter thanks to HANNspree. We only have 4.2 running and are having pretty bad issues that could be saved by the updated firmware and OS.
If anyone in the UK has this HANNspree SN1AT74 please respond here.
Thanks in advance.

Hey,
I would like to point out that the motive of XDA Assist to help new members find their way across the forum.
The question you posted does not belongs here.
I would suggest you to post it in General discussion > Questions and Answers .
Cheers.
Hello,
Thread has been closed. As mentioned by our RC this forum is not a support forum. It is for new users, who do not know how to find their correct device forum. As such I have closed this thread.
Many thanks,

DN4 ROM's (Note2) microphone failed when using Skype video or Line video, but using earphone will be worked fine.
Hi,
The best place to ask for help is in the Rom thread. I would link it for you, but I don't know what Note 2 variant you have. And you probably know what thread your rom is.
Note, until you reach 10 constructive posts on XDA, your post in the rom thread will automatically be placed in your devices Q&A section.
Good luck!
Thank you. Thread closed.
Can anyone recommend me budget phone to start porting? It can be a 3 year old device also. Kindly do not suggest nexus 4 or 5, because all roms are available for it.
Well, i was thinking of Sony Xperia Z, or the HTC One M7..
Please suggest.
Thank You!

Hello everyone,
please move my post if this is the wrong place to go. I am working in a small IT-Company which shortly is going to get rid of 400 Tablets (TERRA / Wortmann Modell 1004 1005 and 1006). I am trying to rescue thise tablets, flash those and donate them. I was searching like all day for firmwares and could absolutley not find anything. I tried also an erasure software which told me that those tablets are rooted (so maybe I was not the only one trying to check for options). I was thinking to also pay someone to get those tablets up and running again to send them to India or Ukraine. Anyone knows what we could do about them, would offer support or point us into the right direction?
Cheers
