I'm am using Edgar's xtreStoLite 2.3 on my rooted sm-g920t . Love it, fantastic rom. The modem and bootloader are UVU2COF6.
T-Mobile phone unlocked with a AT+T sim card. I am having problems connecting to make calls sometimes. I never had a problem connecting before rooting. Is there a different modem I should be using.

You can't use anything but a TMO modem. Doesn't TMO get a COF8 update?
Sent from my SM-G925F
Thanks for the reply. Not sure ,I'll check it out.
Sent from my SM-T520 using Tapatalk
LNJ is correct COF8 is the latest for the tmobile variants, there is supposed to be an update this week so you might want to hold off a little bit to see if the update comes with an updated boot loader and modem.
Thanks , I'll wait and see if there's a update.

Both myself and a coworker installed the Sprint 4.4.2 ota. After the first boot you will get a dialog that says Android update complete. .. When you click ok there is a second dialog Device Update Complete that disappears. At this point, finger touches would not register on the device and you could not use the screen.
The fix... use the s-pen. It will still work. Reboot one more time and you will be able to hit the ok on Device update complete and all will be well.

Probably both a dumb and lazy question, but is the Sprint Note 3 model Sm-n900w?

Hey guys. Just got an LTE version of the Notepro. I went to update it, first thing. It says that my software version has been modified and that updates are not available. Having just unpacked the device. Is this something i should be worried about or just send it back?
Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
I would send it back.

Basically its a german lte version. They all seem to be affected. If samsung does fix this, could the update go through, despite this message?
Checked knox and its stil 0x0. So this is a bug.
Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
But in the case they fix this could an update go through via Ota or kies, even when it says this.

All my Samsung devices are rooted, and none take the OTA with the same "your device has been modified" error. All are upgradable through Kies without any issue. Just went to KK on my S4 and Note 10.1 (2014) via Kies without any problems at all.

KK is KitKat (4.4.2 for the S4 and Note 10.1). Yes, Kies seems to bypass even the knox counter. *IF* it is confirmed that all the German LTE devices are doing this, I would not worry. If it's just yours, I'd send it back. But if it is all of them, you will always be able to update via Kies and I would suspect the first update would fix this OTA issue.
I have the same problem with mine, Italian Note Pro LTE. After the first OTA the status changed to Modified. I have also tried with ODIN to reflash, but it is still Modified. Obviously the Note Pro has not been modified or rooted in any way.
It seems a common problem.

Hi. If we want to update thorough Kies and we are on custom recovery, should we first flash stock recovery?? Thanks.

Kies doesn't use recovery.

I read in the Singapore hardware zone forums that they too had ths problem with the LTE version. With the latest March (Singapore is one of the first to get it), the problem was fixed. They were able to fix it with an OTA update. So my advice for now is just hang in there untill the update arrives. I for example just returned my unit and waiting for the update.

Try the verizon PC software. It can update your device.
ok I'll try when I get home
Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
If you are rooted, you need to unroot before upgrading. Even if you get it to go further it won't flash probably. Odin a factory oe2 or what ever your base is. After that upgrade.
Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
A friend of mine, UNROOTED, got the same message, it has nothing to do with being rooted. The update servers were not responding on Verizon end, nothing more. He was able to do it later in the day with no changes.
I feel like it is because I am not using a Verizon sim so it blocks me.

I don't think so, but just waiting a few days and updating on Kies or the new version is just as good as an OTA.
Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
You need a vzw sim card to use the built in software update.
Hello I'm American, but live in Germany. and I can't use the ota update with my German sim card. Is it possible to update to 5.1.1 manually? unfortunately I have the unrootable build and just want to get 5.1.1. if anyone knows how to update please let me know, or at least say it's not possible lol. thanks for your help everyone

Use Odin
Link for the FW.
Follow this link for the firmware update.
It has the most recent update available for our phone other than OTA. It is 5.1.1 and there are instructions and a link to the ODIN software.
I finally got it to work, thanks anyways I'm on og7
Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

The link above has OG5. Good. Smartswitch gives you OG7. Better. OTA is OG9. Required for Samsung Pay.
Question: How long does it take for Smartswitch version to catch up to OTA?
Answered my own question. OTA was on 10/16. Today on 10/23, OG9 is available on Verizon Software Upgrade Assistant. I assume Smartswitch would've also had it if i tried it first.
Finally got the official update to 7.0...
happy update checking =-)
its 1563.03Mb in size.....uploading screenshots in a moment. You don't need to be in the BETA to get the update.
edited.
Can confirm. Its smooth as butter, too.

Getting mine too
Hey guys, I have a question I hope someone can help me out with. I have the sm-g935v which I flashed to sm-g935u. I'm considering flashing it to sm-g935t since the unlocked firmware will be getting quarterly updates which is unfortunate, and I would like to use samsung cloud, FM radio, and now Nougat. Would I have to factory reset my phone back to the verizon firmware before flashing tmobile's, or can I just flash from my current unlocked firmware straight to tm? Prior to Nougats release, I had downloaded the latest tmobile firmware and tried to flash it with no success so not sure what I did wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
OTA
Won't taking the OTA update certain partitions we don't necessarily want to update? Like the BL, for example? Could this prevent rolling back to 6.0.1 if there are issues? Or does this not matter since we don't have an unlocked BL anyway? Thanksssss
Apparently I do not see that update on my phone as of now

The update is for T-Mobile users using the T firmware. You are on the US Unlocked firmware.
I got this also and updated this morning. Very smooth and loving it! Did OTA update and one thing i noticed after updating i wasn't able to clear my cache like before. When i power down, hold all 3 buttons (power, home and up key) get a screen more like a warning saying installing other firmware's or roms can damage my device. Not the exact wording but similar. Has anyone else tried doing that and got the same warning msg?
