I updated the phone ( OTA ) to 5.1.1. This updated was supposed to bring some improvements and features ( RAW support ) to the camera. I didn't received them so I tried to update the camera firmware manually.
I entered in the "CameraFirmware Standard" panel ( *#34971539# ) and press "Phone to Cam FW Write", but a pop-up appeared showing "F/W Update fail".
Next thing I tried was to flash another stock rom, but this didn't fix it.
The camera is working flawlessly, it's just that I don't know how to update it to the latest firmware. Anything is stock on the phone.
Any help is appreciated.

Same here. I don't know why we aren't able to flash the camera Firmware. I think I'm going to Flash my whole Firmware again by using Smart Switch. Maybe this will automatically update the Camera Firmware.

I checked some S6, including an edge and all of them got the same problem.
Is anyone in beta program and can confirm whether the camera updated?
Still the same in the beta mate, I just checked. Don't think you can just update the camera firmware by that. Most probably it isn't made for normal users.
I just updated to 6.0.1. Now, in camera settings there is an option for RAW, available only in pro mode.
Have the same Problem. Flashed 6.0.1 XEF firmware with Odin. CSC is still DBT. Firmware wasn't upgraded with Odin flash and it will not work in the menue. Maybe Firmware and CSC should match, too?

Why you want to update the firmware anyway?
It is doing itself automatically if needed.

hey every one i take the imx files from the rom i think its same on both 5.1.1 and 6.0.1 and change it like here http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/help/camera-firmware-thread-t2832384
i put the same name like in the link for the 2 file with fw in them and it work
but we have 4 file there with imx but one of them is for front camera
in the link he change only 2 if we can find the name for the rest of the files we can fix the front cam i think its all so the phone to fw that not working
i hope someone can help

I updated my Samsung J200G by flashing latest and the appropriate stock rom from sammobile. Everything went fine untill i opened front camera flashing warning" camera failed". I flashes other stock Roms but in vain, the problem persists over and over. Is there anyone facing the same problem.

If you are flashed L6 then try L7. L6 has some bugs, so try to update L7. It has no bugs at all(only bug is facebook app as system app. It cause memory consumption) and front camera working fine:good:

It's the firmware version ends with apl6 and apl7. These are released in sammobile firmware site. Go there and check it once. I'm not using JE mobile now, so I can't provide any information about it. Sorry,

If for whatever reason you want to downgrade or don't like 7.0, you can safely downgrade to any of the below versions without any issues. After you flash a lower android version using Odin, phone might get stuck on Verizon logo. If that happens, all you need to do is boot into recovery and do a factory wipe/reset and phone will boot right up after that.

yeah i successfully upgraded to Nougat using ODIN and its fine no issue but i am facing weird issue sometime i dont get calls on my number or no sms from other users

Its seems like Huawei had also update their P9 with Live Photo features. (Automatically capture the video that happen before the photo is taken and embeded into the photo, Like in iPhone6s)
The update is already made available in China. We will have to wait Huawei to ship it globally, though.

I had wifi calling on B360 (I think it was). Jumped to 391 and now wifi calling is gone.

Flahs with odin a firmware with bootloader revision 4, in download mode you can see you have bootloader rev 4 and you tried with odin a firmware that had rev3.

-Modify QCN file to Chinese Lock
-Rename updates file ( *.zip) to update.zip update manually one by one

I used a video tutorial but there is a weird green line on the display but it seems to be a firmware bug, the tablet is still downloading updates i will let you know what happens next. thank you for your time and help

It's now stuck at the 12.6 OTA as this is the one that checks for the region, I will follow your guide and let you know how it went thank you for everything
It's giving me the error ''the current system is not compatible with this hardware'' then powers off.
I honestly did not expect that there would be one more update and much less expected it to be a new version of Android, I thought I would stay forever with Android 11
I just hope they fixed the issue of notifications not showing up.
Now to wait if they dare to release a new Android update for the Global version.
