Hello guys ,
I'm from algeria and i have an S3 verizon , however , i cannot connect to the 3G , and when i go to : mobile networks == Access Point Names , the list is empty .
Also i have a msg in the dropdown menu saying that the SIM is not a verizon sim ( hell yeah it is not , since i'm in Algeia )
Do you guys think if i flash it with another rom it would be fixed ? if not what should i do ?
PS : my rom is stock

Depending on which stock version it is, if its 4.4.2 stock you only have the ability to use safestrap as a custom recovery. Flashing another rom will not fix a sim issue. The phone needs a sim card for a GSM carrier but however it may not play well with overseas. VZW has a very odd way of programming phones and to work on a GSM carrier they don't play well

You'll need to add your information under the apn, rather you need to add your carrier information

You have to add apns they won't automatically add themselves, see the screenshot attached. I had to add mine

dude i CANNOT add an APN , there are no "plus" signe to tap or a menu ...etc , plus the contextual menu just offers to set to default , maybe i should flash another rom ? if yes can you show me one that is compatible with my phone ? .

If your on 4.1.2 then pretty much anything is. Although I can't promise you that it will work. If you want to flash a rom go ahead, however stay away from bootloader locked roms

maybe both sim cards are bad. or maybe its a wrong version of nexus s for your carrier.
maybe you are using Nexus S for 4G network , or opposite that Nexus S 4G but you are using GSM network , i don't know it is compatible ... - -
also , try flash other ROM and new radio

What did you do prior to this happening? Are you still running stock? Did the phone just come out of the box? Did you flash a different rom?

After installing rom 4.1.1 my phone dosent shows IMEI number its Blank,I cant use my phone to call ,Wifi,Blurtooth i am in big problem pleas any one help me i bought it in 32,000 Ind rupees.

try flashing the stock firmware then u shut get ur imei back

works on my LG G pro 2 D83810b , amazing work !! by far quickest and easiest way to root 10B version of D838 !! no need of any other software just install an stump root apk and root ,
hmm i thought latest firmware is 10f ? (i have d838 32gb with 10f) or maybe i am wrong?

Yup , latest one is F ( A > B > D > E > F , not sure where C goes ) luckily , my phone is stuck with firmware B which has LTE option unlike F , where LG decided to put a full stop on LTE option

oh wow. i dont use 4G so im ok but i read somewhere there is some secret setting (get into by inputting sequences of number on dial pad) and then we can re active the LTE.

pressed thanks button !! however i use 10b , and wont update to 10f unless there is a cogent reason to do so , do you know any way by which i can enable WCDMA 850 / 1900 on my G pro 2 D838 10b , by default those bands are disabled and i can not even enable them in service menu ( by using 5457#*838# ) , i am banging my head trying to do whatever i can to enable those two bands on my phones which are officially not supported

In the end are missing apps, like clock, or themes dont work? Is because in /data/custom.bin says different from the /cust in ROMs from above, but dont have importance . You can fix.
To fix /cust, in the end and with root, change the names in /cust folder, for the names in YOUR /data/custom.bin (open like a text file), use root browser to do it.
exemple in my /cust , first folder says vodafone" and inside "pt" because my custom.bin says "vodafone/pt". If yours says ee/es you must change "vodafone" to "ee" and "pt" to "es".YOU MUST DO a factory reset and all be fixed.

Was branded Vodafone?
In a German blog, a user said in the comments, that the firmware B370 (EMUI 3.0 KitKat) of the P7-Mini (aka G6-L11) has caused the loss of the clock-application and blamed the Vodafone branding..
I do not know how he solved..

you can fix your missing app by changing the name of the cust folders.
this reason for this problem is that you came from another cust version.

Your phone have a diferent Kernel, only G6-L11, L22, L33.

I bought G6-U10 and i have problem that every time i try to download Apps it's says that there's not enough space, however, there's 8GB SDcard in the mobile and i change it in setting to SDcard too but still the same problem. I don't know what should...
That is a Google Play Services issu. Have you try it to turn off and boot again? If don't fixe, only a factory reset can help you. Do a backup first.

Dial *#*#4636#*#* from phone dialer then you will get in testing menu > phone information > click menu button on right corner > select radio band

It has usa band and cellular 800 none of them works. It doesn't either save.

I have the same problem! What I could find out about this is wait for a phone Nokia 6 sale in Europe. Then the firmware will be normal and you can update it!

I am in China,I've got updates and I saved the update package on baudu cloud disk(link : pan.b aidu .c om/s/1ge Xx 3eb)
power key&volume+ enter into recovery mode and flash it.
But I don't recommend using it. Maybe your device will not boot！
