Perm Rooting + New rom (Help needed)

Hi,
I want to perm root my htc sensation. I'm new(noob) to android os rooting and all that stuff. A friend of mine helped me when he had time he rooted it for me but its not perm. He didn't had the time to root it perm. I want to root it perm and put a new rom on it. But i need some help with that becuz i'm noob in all this

[Q] How to Root HTC Desire S using Windows 8

hello xda members, I got a new HTC Desire S and I want to root it. Can someone please guide me to some easy to follow noob-friendly tutorial that will help me to root my htc desire s. It will be a great help. thanks in advance.

How about searching and reading one of the many guides that have been posted on the forum over the past 2 years or so that there has been active development for this phone?

bro i understand that but the rooting guides are too many and confusing. i was asking one which is newbie friendly. so please if u can help me please do. i just want to root my phone. dont want to change rom.

Right at the top in the General forum is the thread called [GUIDE] Complete Tutorial for the Beginners and Others
That's a good place to start, but you need to search and read still.

i think u have problem understanding me. i am saying that i want a guide that is for windows 8 specifically. since all the guides are for windows 7 and drivers are not supported in windows 8 yet.

I am not having a problem understanding you at all. I am running Windows 8 as well. The information is in there, but we do not hang around here to help out people who are too lazy to search.
I typed "Windows 8" into the search box, on the first page found [Q] HTC Desire S and Windows 8, the 4th post (by .BlAcK.) included a link to Install htc one x drivers on Windows 8 which looks to be what you need. Took me about two minutes.
Although, from what I remember last time I did this on my Win 8 machine, I didn't need to do anything other than run ADB.

hey guys ! i just recently got my oneplus6 and im very happy with it but i really need a full guide and latest guide on how to root this device. i know this is kinda a lame question but ive been searching on this XDA forum and most of them is an old guide . if there is a guide that still can be follow would you guys mind to share the link to the guide? it will really help me a lot and since im kinda new on rooting phone i really hope this post will get approved cause i really want to know on how can i root my oneplus6 , thanks in advance !
