[Completed] need help to bypass lock screen on galaxy S5 for sprint - XDA Assist

So i recently changed my password on my samsung galaxy S5 on Sprint and i woke up the next day and couldn't remember it...long story short i'm stuck on the lock screen to enter password and i've done it over 400 times and all it does is time me out for 30 seconds at a time. i was wondering if there is ANYTHING out there that can READ my password or if i can bypass the lock screen without losing any of my stuff that's on my phone. I've been without it since last Sunday, I can only receive calls and adjust the ringer volume on it. ANYTHING I MEAN ANYTHING will be HELPFUL...(i don't want to hard reset my phone and lose everything)….X.O.

Hello and thank you for using XDA Assist.
Sorry to hear about your trouble but we cannot provide technical support nor can other members reply to your posts here on XDA Assist . Fortunately there is an XDA area dedicated to the Sprint Samsung Galaxy S5 where you have already posted a similar thread at http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-galaxy-s5/help/forgot-phone-lock-screen-password-t3192011. Please be patient and give the experts there plenty of time to respond.

[Q] Fatory Mode / No Lock Screen

My GT-P6200 just ressurected from bricked a few days ago. Samsung centre change the mainboard. After a while i just notice there are some app called "Factory Mode" on the Home Screen. Its like a calculator. I dont know what the hell is that thing, so i just leave there.
My main concern here is, my tablet no longer have the lock screen. I cant lock my screen from the setting menu, no matter what i did. Same goes to power button issue. Whenever i long push the power button, my tablet when shutdown without any other option like reboot.
I've read and tried the solution by senior member tracid from Galaxy Tab 10.1 Android Development, but no luck with that.
Really need help with this issue, i dont know if im the only one with this problem after changing the mainboard. Pls help me with this issue.
Thanks in advance
Hi, I have the same problem, and like you, the issue started after the main board replacement by Samsung. Tried to revert, back to GB, wipe data but no Lock screen.

heres another helpful thread..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1611796
also read through the 10.1 thread and try everything.
or you could always return/call samsung and tell them you cant use your tab like this and to fix it right/do some QC, before letting this stuff out the door.
cheers
thanks chris,
guess im sending my device back to Samsung this morning. Dont how long it takes to repair this. Samsung Service in my place damn too slow, it took them 1 month to change my main board.

Observation to reduce lag

Hi, first to all i want to thank everyone who help this forum to be helpful and i want to say something that i don't know if its already posted but i think is useful and curious.
I found on my stock s4 with tw 4.2.2 stock that when i enabled a pattern as unlock method (so slide to unlock animation was turned off) the lag that was present every time that i unlocked my phone for the first 2 or 3 seconds (i suppose because of home screen loading time) was gone.
Sorry for my bad english, and hope this could be helful. I'm just an user so maybe i'wrong. Thanks for reading.

The reason is because the processor is just ramping up, because it was in sleep mode.

[Completed] Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 bug

I have had my new Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1" for a few hours now and suddenly the recent key and the notification bar aren't working. I've attempted to pull down the notification bar but nothing is happening. I also found that when holding down the home key Google Now no long pops up when it used to. I've read that this is a common problem when having a magnet case on the device but I haven't got a case at all!
Does anyone know how to fix this? Any help would be appreciated.
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. Since the tablet is brand new I'd try doing a factory reset in recovery. If that doesn't solve the problem then it's time to contact whomever you bought it from. You don't want to do anything that may void the warranty.
You could also check here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-10-1/help
Hope that helps!

Hello and thank you for using XDA Assist.
Sorry to hear about your trouble but fortunately there is an XDA area dedicated to the Samsung Galaxy S4 at http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4 which would be a good starting place. A factory reset to get rid of any potentially overly aggressive apps you may have installed might be worth a try, but I suggest you post your question with all relevant details in the friendly Q&A forum there at http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4/help where the experts familiar with your device will be best able to guide you.
Good luck!
