Hi guys, i ve found this information about our little Xperias E3 and E4. Its about updates.
Theres a bad new: we are not going to get lollipop (5.0 or 5.1)
But theres a better new: we are going to make the jump directly to android 6.0 Marshmallow (this means at least one long year waiting)
Also Xperia E1 is out of the update roadmap. I think this is related to low hardware inside E1
Here is a leaked photo of a facebook group called "Ajuda Xperia" in portuguese showing the next roadmap schedule of updates for some xperias (the guys have deleted the photo but i take a screenshot). You can see theres none dates detailed but we have some models "confirmed" including E3 and E4

Left column means Lollipop 5.0, Middle column means 5.1 and Right column is 6.0
So, guys please dont make false expectations until sony confirms this information oficially

Hello all of my XDA members.
I guess everyone has heard of the rumour I am talking about ;
For those who have'nt here is what I meant to say , Just checkout out this post http://www.themobileindian.com/news/11103_Sony-Xperia-Tipo-to-get-Android-4.1-update-in-a-month
So everyOne is thinking now that will we get a JB official update ?
my Answer is "BIG NO"
Sony has just launched Sony Xperia E and E dual with the almost same spec of tipo and just with a extra JB update in it for those users who wanna use android 4.1 Jelly been out of the box . So there is no way that Sony wants to make E / (Dual) a failure by giving tipo / (dual) and 4.1 jb update . So if you want to use JB in tipo / (dual) you must have to flash a custom ROM into it.
How Can I be so Sure :
I am not talking baseless . I have already called SONY for this matter and there answer was a big "NO" .
And for another proof I posted about this in Sony official fb page and here was the conversation :
{

}
Or You can Go to Post directly here : http://goo.gl/AEAVD
There is a reply from Sony Mobile saying that The Source is completely baseless and Tipo is not going to get JB .
So I guess I made it clear . :/
I know it is heart breaking but if I helped Please press the Thanks button instead of saying thanks.
Resereved for Update
Update:
Now after contacting sony it is official that SONY TIPO / MIRO is not getting any Jb update
If Xperia e single is released.. Then I request developers to port jb from it to tipo/dual
There is already jb Rom available in XDA for tipo. But for tipo dual there is no bug free Rom which has both the sim enabled :| So till E Dual comes with JB there is very few chances of a bug free Rom for tipo dual :|

Android 4.4 KitKat firmware updates for the Xperia E1 have received their certifications from Bluetooth SIG. This should mean that the KitKat firmware updates for these devices are on their way, although we’ve seen no PTCRB certifications just yet.

Well if it's real we could take camera libs, HALs and whatever and use them for our CM11 (Cameras are the same)

Unfortunately E1's camera is not the same as E's one. The only thing they have in common is the amount of MPx
Looking forward to this better try to get pc companion running on my Linux system so I can capture KK ftf as soon as available.

Honestly, I wont! I'll be getting a Xperia Z1 in 3-4 months
For those who understand polish: http://community.sony.pl/t5/blog-sony/aktualizacja-oprogramowania-kitkat/ba-p/1581001
official confirm that E1 will get KitKat.
it's somehow stupid.
A new firmware update has been certified by the PTCRB for the Sony Xperia M2 (D2303 variant only). It moves the build number from the current version (18.3.1.C.0.21) to 18.3.1.C.0.22. As you can tell, this is an incremental update so expect only minor changes/bug fixes. We’ll keep you posted if it starts to roll.

Really? You prefer to have a buggy phone?
What is it fixed with this update?
I istall the 18.3.1.C.0.21 update and i haven't notice any bugs so far.
And that's why i am asking what are known bugs for this version.
There's only xperia stock apps bugfixes, that's why it's useless
No one bugfixes are useless

Probably auto-brightness and some other tweaks related to the audio. There is no full changelog so I can't guarantee what is updated
After Core Prime and other Mid-range devices got an Official Lollipop Update (5.0.2), there comes a Final Phase. .In the previous phase, Core 2 update status was "pending", now it changed to "approved" in the Final Phase. Means our device is already confirmed to get an Android 5.0 update. . I don't know if this is really true. .But I hope Android 5.0 will come to our device .
BTW, what does "final phase" mean?, it means, the last mid-range devices to get Android 5.0 update?, what do you think guys?

Some news:
As far as I know, Galaxy Grand Prime Value Edition SM-G531H (3G model) will be launched soon with Android 5.0.2 out of the box. It has SC8830 spreadtrum chipset which is similar to our device SM-G355H. It has 1GB of ram. .I'm wondering if Samsung use SM-G531H firmware as a base ROM for updating Core 2 to Android Lollipop, because I guess that there are only small changes of SM-G531H' rom to make it running on Core 2 models. .
Yes, i've already read it, I Hope soon we have Lollipop on out device, it will be great
I hope Samsung releases it in month or two... After all its a major update...
@Azhero @om.shiva For me it's an official news, and i think soon we have lollipop on GC2 i didn't think that page will post some fake info. What do you think?
Looking at page I think it's true news...I would've tried to(still learning) build recovery and 5.1 for our devices instead of waiting for official...but source is huge in size....
Is This Info Really True????
Are You Guys sure that Samsung Galaxy Core 2 Devices Will Get Official Lollipop Update From Samsung??

They confirmed no.
We're not even getting the full EMUI 8.
It would be sweet if some xda moderator comes and closes all the "regarding oreo update" threads and archive them so that it'll be more easier to find the actual thread I'm looking for!
regarding your query, nobody knows exact answer for that(including Honor themselves).. honor india said it won't get whereas the euro Honor said not to believe honor india... So your only option is to wait or resort to the oreo custom rom being developed in this community or change to some other smartphone.
Personally, i don't care if I'll get the update because i previously owned a device from another budget oriented chinese company, the OnePlus 2 and OnePlus promised nougat for the device and later on simply ignored and said hardware restrictions whereas Sony provided nougat for Z5 series!
I've heard rumors that Huawei is selecting beta testers for some update on the Russian forum 4pda.
Let's see if it turns out to be something interesting like EMUI 8

I am Russian and reading 4pda
there is some strange post with machine-translated text about "looking testers for some new EMUI version"
nothing specific
Please stick to the dedicated Oreo thread for this sort of discussion: https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-8/help/oreo-update-honor-8-t3669505
