[Completed] fastboot will not recognise device (HTC One M7) - XDA Assist

I've been trying to solve this for a while now and cant seem to get it to work.
I have adb and fastboot installed on the computer.
When I run the cmd window, I can get a recognition from adb when I'm in recovery mode, but as soon as I run <adb reboot bootloader> the phone goes into bootloader, disconnects temporarily from the computer and reconnects.
When I go into devices on the computer I can see that the computer see's it. It recognizes it as my HTC although it shouldn't right?
When I come back to my cmd window I try to run fastboot commands with no success. <fastboot devices> gives me a blank line and its ready for the next command.
I looked around and saw that a lot of people dint have the right cables, drivers for the phone or dint restart they're computer.
I have done it all. I re-downloaded the drivers I think 10 times in vane.
Any help would be appreciated thx
OS on phone is no longer there I lost it. dont know how.
OS on computer is windows 10 64 bit

Hello and thank you for using XDA Assist.
Sorry to hear about your trouble. We cannot provide technical support nor can other members reply to your posts here on XDA Assist but fortunately there is an XDA area dedicated to the HTC One (M7) at http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one which would be a good starting place. I suggest you post your question with all relevant details in the friendly Q&A forum there at http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one/help where the experts familiar with your device will be best able to guide you.
Good luck!

[Q] Stuck at the Fastboot protocol support

I trying to unlock my XOOM WIFI from COSTCO, when I ran the command
adb reboot bootloader
The XOOM reboots show the message STARTING FaSTboot protocol support and stuck in there, I have to VOL UP & Power to reset it.
What I am doing wrong.?
I do not want to do the ONE CLICK to avoid wiping the machine completely.
Do I need to wipe it the first time?
you need to have fastboot in your machine, then you can run:
fastboot oem unlock
it will ask you to use volume up/down keys to confirm "twice" the terms of service and will unlock it for you.
please not that unlocking it will void your warranty right away, so unless you are a developer or have a very good reason to do so, I would not recommend it.
You are doing it right.
adb reboot bootloader
is supposed to bring you to "Starting Fastboot protoco"l screen. Just continue and enter the commands as the instructions entail. If this is the first time you are rooting the device though you will end up wiping everything fyi.
ubuntu and fastboot....waiting for device
I am running Ubuntu 10.10. When I do adb reboot bootloader....when I run any fastboot command it says <Waiting for Device>…do I need to install USB drivers and how would I do that on Ubuntu.
Any help would be greatly appreciated...
Type in adb devices.
Does it list your device there?
Most likely it's a driver issue when it says "waiting for device."
I know nothing about ubuntu though so i wont be any help getting those drivers installed.
Yes it does before I get into the bootloader. After I get into the bootloader I get nothing.

Make sure you are running the commands from the directory on your computer that the adb file is in. For example, make sure you do a CD "\Program Files\Android\android-sdk\tools" if that is where adb and all the necessary files are.
thx for reply
Thought I did ill try again this weekend to over clock my xoom never was good at dos.

[Completed] [Q] Fastboot doesn't recognize moto g 4g on linux

I have a Moto G 4g. ADB recognizes the cell and I can restart it in fastboot mode, but when I check in the terminal with:
Code:
fastboot devices
Nothing appears, and if I go on with
Code:
fastboot oem get_unlock_data
It gets stuck at
Code:
< waiting for device >
I tried as a user and as root on an Archlinux machine with android-udev rules as shown in the Archlinux wiki (sorry, i can't put the link). AP Fastboot fast boot menu shows that the cell is locked.
Hi,
You can try a different cable, or USB port on the pc...or even a different pc. Until fastboot devices detects your device, there's nothing you can do.
Reinstall drivers...and you are on the bootloader mode right?
If none of that helps, you can ask in your device section for help....

Good luck!

Now im at a loss because my computer wont recognize my device ..even if im in fastboot or recovery.. i cant get it to show up in adb when i type adb devices or anything! So how can i flash an os when my device isnt recognized??.. There is 1 thing, When im in fastboot and i click the Superboot.bat it acts like it did when i first rooted it... but does me no good i still cant do anything... and yes ive read every guide i could find but i just cant get it recognized... Is there something im missing?

nope, i tried to get it to show up in every mode and way i could come up with.. nothing
Are you trying the fastboot commands on a Win7 or XP machine? I don't think ADB commands will not work when the phone is in fastboot mode,
It's a Windows 8 machine.
Any suggestions I'm still stuck
Try to flash a ROM in fastboot on a Win7 (x86 or x64) or XP (x86) machine.
Just tried it man... Still no luck. . Man what am I doing here? Do you have a link maybe I'm doing it wrong from the one I'm reading... But the machines just will not get the device
Put your phone into fastboot mode, connect the USB cable, do you see the Moto G appear as an android device in Device Manager on your Win7 or XP machine?

no my device is not recognized no matt r what I do
After booting your phone in fastboot mode and connecting it to a Win7 or XP machine, you see no unknown devices in Device Manager?
Do you have pds partition since you cleared everything.
"fastboot devices" does this command shows any device or your device recognized by pc or not.
This may be useful - http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/help/how-to-revive-hard-bricked-moto-g-t2833798
but how can i flash the stock firmware when its not recognized?

Htc sensation 4g unlocking bootloader problem

Hello and good day/afternoon/night depending when you see this, I have a seems to be very frequent, the thing is that I've been trying to unlock my htc sensationg 4g (yeah, there are humans who still use it) and the thing is that every time I try to connect to the pc and write the
"fastboot oem get_identifier_token" command, the command line stucks at "waiting for device" and I know that that means it's not being recognized by the computer. I'll list everything I tried and all the information:
*My computer has windows 8.1 64 bit
*I installed the htc drivers and the android sdk
*my htc has android 4.0.3
*I have used usb 2.0 ports
*I have the fastboot files and all the files required
*I restarted the computer idk how many times to see if that does something
*everytime I connect the phone via fastboot mode, windows says device is not recognized
if need something else, simply ask for it, I have searched through thousands of forums and obviously here with no success, I hope you guys can help me

the issue is on win8
Search here in xda how to set up adb/fastboot on windows8
Or just download a Linux Live CD with fastboot and adb.
Just boot the cd and you can use fastboot and adb from terminal.

[Completed] T-Mobile lg v20 becomes un-visible when put into bootloader mode.

I can't add any comments on XDA forum where this wuestion belongs because I don't have 10 or more comments posted instructions other than programming and ROMs. however I did post it on the XDA assist forum but i was sent to check out a forum that had nothing to do with my problem. I have the correct drivers I have everything I need to have and as soon as I put my phone into the bootloader mode for some reason the computer cannot recognize it anymore. on the command prompt I type in ADB devices and nothing shows up however, before I put my phone into bootloader mode when I type in ADB devices my phone shows up. apparently this is a phenomenon that only happens to 3% of the people that try to flash this device. I'm not the only one apparently.

Greetings and welcome to assist. Unfortunately it seems you know more about this issue than us, have you tried following this guide

when flashing your device to see if it works
Good Luck
