[Completed] Hello. New here - please help (Note 3 SM-N9005) - XDA Assist

Hello xda forum. I recently joined this comunity. Heard of it on a youtube video by C4AEtech in the same day that I have rooted my phone - Samsung galaxy note 3 SM-N9005.
Please dont be hars on me, I dont know where to post, so if I'm in the wrong category please move my topic, i'll learn from mistakes.
Since I'm new to rooting and dont wanna do anything by my own cuz there are risks and dont want to intentionally burry my phone, I would like some guidance.
Basicly I have some questions
-I play this game called Taichi Panda and I lagg really hard sometimes, and yeah, my phone has 3gb ram and a strong cpu. With my old phone I had an octa core with 1gb ram and it was same. The issue here is that my old phone was running at 720p and note3 at 1080p . Is there something that I can do to switch my graphics from 1080p to 720p ? (only to this game) I want to record and make some youtube videos and I'd like to be lagg free for extra video quality. The difference between 720p and 1080p is not that big of a deal, and if it helps my game to run lagg free it will be great. P.S. I play only on wifi and I have 50mbs up and down.
-I saw here something about custom roms and kernels. I dont know what are those, but I want to improve my phone in a good way and get the most of it. I would like it to run well, not to lagg somethimes, not to freeze and stuff. I'd like to OC my CPU to a safe limit (what I saw is about 2.7 ghz). I would also like something custom that will improve my phone to perform better.
Offtopic: Recently my phone had some problems (before root). When I plug it it for charging , sometimes it doesnt charge at all and sometimes it charges for 1 sec than for next 2 sec it doesnt and so on. I dont know if its my battery fault of my charger, mabye I have killed it with that game Could you recommand me a program where I can see my battery life remaining ?
Any tip and tricks are welcome, I'm opened to any suggestions. I just want my phone to run better and this comunity just rocks -been searching for stuff in past days but cant do anything on my own.
Best wishes

Hello again.
Since you seem to have several separate somewhat unrelated concerns, it would best for you to start separate threads in that forum if you still have questions after reviewing the information already available there.
Once again, good luck.

[Completed] Galaxy S2 Custom rom

Hi everyone,
I figured i did a short introduction before starting to ask questions.
My name is Thomas, 22 Years old from Belgium. I own a Galaxy S2 for 3 years or so. I am very happy with it but there are some things i want to change and ask.
Basically, the phone does exactly what i want, but i want to try out a custom rom. I've heard it will increase overal performance of the phone and make it feel a lot snappier. This is something that is lacking in the S2 for my taste, it feels rather lagging at times and it's RAM usage is always in the 65-80% range even when having barely anything installed and running.
My question is, are there roms specifically developed for the practical use of a phone? Take windows for example where you can remove the eye candy and end up using a performance setup that makes slower systems generally much snappier and faster.
I'd really like to keep the basic functions of course. Calling, texting, checking internet etc.
Any links to guide's or ROM reccomendations are greatly appreciated.
The only thing i want the phone to do is Call, text (sms, whatsapp), read some news with a news app that i use, and play an occasional game like drag racing
Thanks in advance, if there is any other info required, let me know!
Cheers!

Please ask your question in the New users friendly help thread of the S2.
In the second post you will find links to the Index of ROMs for this device.
There are so many custom ROMs available for your phone ... and each has different features (and bugs).
So it's hard to recommend any rom ... only you really know all your needs.
EDIT:
As there are many different variants/models of the S2, please check your exact device model type before flashing anything. Flashing the firmware of another device/type may brick your phone.
My tapatalk signature:
Phone: SGS5 (SM-G900F)
ROM: AllianceROM v4.1
Kernel: Stock G900FXXU1ANE2
Recovery: PhilZ-touch
If you have any question about or any issue with your SGS2, just ask in the New members friendly Q&A thread.
If you need general help/assistence, please go to XDA-Assist.

[Completed] The Essential Information About BATTERY!

hi guys
Im new to the xda, and im hoping to find a complete answer from the experts here.
i was looking for a new phone to buy, my old phones were LG g2 mini and Meizu MX4 pro.
The main problem i had with these two phone were battery life (and i had a major problem with meizu in heating and lagging so much!! Once I recorded temperature of 69 Celsius in meizu !! )
Now that I want to buy a new phone I started to read reviews and GSM Arena Battery life Table.
but it doesn't get me anywhere!
my main question is :
with enabling your data on mobile full day and using apps like telegram, and with minimum time of playing games(like boom beach)
which battery can makes through a day and half of use ?!
i was thinking of Sony Z5 Compact, but i couldnt decide whether its battery is good or not ?
in a nutshell, which phone can lasts longer with enabling data on 3g fulltime ? (there isnt any answer on the internet ! )
thank you in advance for your answers guys

[Completed] Help on galaxy 10 update?

Sorry about my bad typing skills learning disabilities!
Anyway I have a galaxy 10 notebook, and it's stuck with version 4.2! I'm new to tablets, but used to be pc and network tec.
Everything i am buying won't run because there app won't run on version 4.2, led bluetooth app, excersize watch app, etc.
I have been looking for a way to force the tablet to update, and reading as much as I can find. I know that the reason is
Memory, cpu, etc being to low and slow, but I can't afford a new tablet right now. I paid to much when I got this one its
Annoying but since the first pc they play these games and scams so you have to buy new and throw your old year old
Stuff out lol. Please could i bother you all and let me know if there is anyway to salvage this. Also I know from trashing
This tab and had to send it in, that the power button i don't remember how, but it gets you to the core or whatever
Promt.
Thank you so very much for your time

New Device Suggestion

Hello, dear community. I am not quite sure I am posting in the correct subforum, but please forgive me if I m doing this wrong. So I love my smartphone. I used to have a One Plus One, which at some point stoped reading the sim card, so I was forced to find a replacement. While searching I stumbled uppon LG v10. I remember I really liked this phone when it came out and I was dreaming of purchasing it, so I did. I found it almost new for $200 which seemed to be too good to be true. I loved certain aspects of the phone, but I grew to hate some others. First of all, it was a nightmare to root and put custom stuff on it. Then for some reason, it was a very slow phone, full of lag most of the times. Anyways, a couple of months after the purchase, the phone just died. It entered a boot loop state and now I can't even enter TWRP on it, so I've decided to move on and search for another device. Could you suggest to me any device?
What I put more weight on my devices are:
1. Easy root, good XDA community with custom roms. I love having the latest version of Android even if it has some bugs.
2. Good camera. I guess everyone likes that. I am a photographer and I like to push the limits of my device when it comes to photography.
3. A good bonus would be to be water resistant ip67 would do the job.
4. Budget not more than $400 (used or new)
5. A big battery would be a +
6. 1080p screen resolution is just fine for me.
Thanks in advance,
Theo
