[Completed] Connect Internet by proxy& prompt credential after setting proxy in Wifi - XDA Assist

Hi Guys,
A issue about proxy in my Company, if we want to connect internet, need to set up credential & proxy in WiFi configuration. And boss feedback when they open the browser (android phone/Lollipop), credential window pop-up to ask enter again! Why?
Some app such as "Google Play" can't pop-up the window so that they can't access and download from the store.
Anyone can give me a hint to resolve the issue?

Hello and thank you for using XDA Assist.
We cannot provide technical support nor can other members reply to your posts here on XDA Assist and since you didn't mention which device you use I can't even direct you towards a device-specific area. However, your trouble seems to be related to how your work proxy is configured and not so much about Android issues. You could try asking for other members' opinions in the general discussion forum http://forum.xda-developers.com/general/general but whoever configured your work proxy might be able to best advise you.
Good luck!

[Completed] Problem with VPN network (Hamachi)

I have been using Bubble Server for audio streaming.
My problem is the proxy media foobar server binds to hamachi virtual IP4 network address. I have the notebook at the other side of the tunnnel with standard win7 network services running.
I think it doesn't matter when accessing my server from outside via https but it messes my local network up ( behind NAT ). Sony Bravia is getting confused and I can not play my audio streams anymore on my kitchen TV.
I am sorry, maybe it's very easy but I just can not do it. I didn't find anything in the ini/cfg files and standard www interface doesn't allow to set it either.
If anyone knows the solution please let me know. I can provide more detailed description with logs etc if necessary but I hope it's a simple answer and I am just blind.
Hi,
You can follow this tutorial on the subject,
> General discussion > Networking > [HOWTO] Use VPN with your Android & Home Router
And if that doesn't help, you could ask for help in the thread, or ask here...

Good luck!

That is something for the beginning.
I should probably start with searching and reading not writing anyway.
I appreciate the quick response time
But your question can go in my second link. That's the appropriate place. ?
Thank you. Thread closed.

[Completed] [Q] Global Proxy Authentication? Google Play Edition Samsung S4

Hello people
Since I moved from stock touchwiz Samsung S4 Rom to Google Play edition 4.4.4 I am trying to get my head around things
Few things I have tried to google but no luck is
There is no global proxy authentication?
At work we use proxy authentication. When I connect to the wifi, it used to just ask for creditials when I opened up chrome.. Now it just does not display any websites or asks for authentication
Is there a quick way to toggle the wifi on and off?
And Is there a way to arrange apps inside the app drawer?
Would appreciate any help

Hello, and welcome to XDA!
Hmm, if they block YouTube, it's very likely any proxy will be blocked as well, or at least a strict policy (including disciplinary action) about circumventing the firewall. I would be very careful with how you approach this, and likely not trying to access YouTube would be the best course of action. Just a suggestion.
If feeling brazen enough though, please register for an account (so you can post in other forums), and then check this thread out:

Hope this helps, and good luck!

I don't have this issue myself but, typically the Website for your router has this information as well (which is where I go for questions related to my router).
There could be a number of things that you may be doing wrong AND/OR the router itself may be the issue itself.
This is a hard question to answer without having the router itself. Try to locate some assistance on their website or contact the manufacturer via Phone or E-mail.
Good Luck!
