Hello and thank you for using XDA Assist.
We cannot provide technical support nor can other members reply to your posts here on XDA Assist , and since you didn't specify which phone and ROM you have, we can't point you towards a specific support area. I suggest you try to find your device from the list at http://forum.xda-developers.com/compact then post your question with all relevant detail in that device's Q&A section. If your device is not listed, try the friendly general Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting forum at http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help. Those are good places to start where members familiar with your device might be able to advise you.
Good luck!

[Completed] [Q] Huawei Ascend Y511 Backup Restore

I just flashed a custom rom on my Huawei Ascend Y511 and I forgot to make a backup on my original rom.
I made a backup on the original rom using the system backup, but when I flashed a new custom rom, I can't restore those messages/contacts/call log, etc. I found the Huawei Backup APK on the SD Card, but it says it wont install on my Device. I also found the backup files such as bookmark.db, calendar.db, sms.db, contact.db, calllog.db . How can I restore those if I am using a iOS7 rom.
I took some screenshots for you to understand it more.
Thanks in Advance I hope that you could help me
Hi,
My guess is the app requires the original software image to work/install... So it won't do you any good on some custom roms, aside from possibly ones that are just stock with a few changes. And all your backup files surely rely on the app.
Again, only a guess. And to get help on this, you will need to ask here,
> Android Development and Hacking > Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Good luck!
Can I get a link of the site where I can download the stock rom
Thanks again
can you help me find the stock rom I need for my device? Thanks :good:
There are different versions of the y511. Need the rest of your model information to look.
My Phone is Huawei Ascend Y511 -030
I hope this could help
Thanks again :good:
If you meant u30, This thread has a return to stock guide in first post. You can ask questions there as well.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/general/help/huawei-ascend-y511-u30-bootloader-root-t2829734
If not, and you meant 030....i can find nothing about that model on XDA... And asking in the first section I linked will be necessary.
I already found the stock rom
I found a y511 u30 stock rom but I couldn't flash it using CWM. I tried using SP Flash tool but it is not reading my device. Can you help me on this? Thanks
You can ask for help in either the thread above, or the original link I gave you.
XDA Assist is here to help members navigate the site, not for support.
Thank you for understanding! ?

After lots of reading, if you still have questions, ask in the thread of the guide you are using, or start your own thread and ask for help.

Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. If you have a nandroid, restore that. You do remember to make a nandriod before making system changes, right? If not you can ask your question here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/general/help Or you might have to flash the stock firmware. Unfortunately there is not a dedicated forum on XDA for your device.
