Please delete - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge

App pulled due to problems. Will be back later with more.

Reserved

I tried it (twice), It didn't appear to do anything. I'm using the same phone, Sprint Galaxy S6 Edge SM-G925P.
Mine is stock OH1 firmware with Unikernel.
I enabled all settting and rebooted.
About CSC mods, Camera during call worked, though I have not ever done that prior to this app.
None of the other stated mods worked apparently.
I've never used CSC mods manually either so I don't know if it would work at all.
Custom toggles don't show in Quick Settings---> edit screen.
I don't believe the phone has the additional features of the custom toggles anyway.
No additional options are now shown in Settings app either.
I could do more testing though.

Thanks for giving it a shot. I need to get my hands on the OH1 update as this was from OFE. Not sure if anything changed. But anyways it shouldn't change anything in settings it should just add toggles (look at edit pencil button) and enable those other features listed. I'm gonna repost an updated version for OH1 and some other mods after I get a chance to debug this on Monday.

No more time to fix this up. I will be back with some other projects and stuff that are more release ready. Mod please close. Thanks guys.

[MOD] [GUIDE] [HOW-TO] Enable all/hidden toggles in CSC without scripts [08/04/2014]

Don't want to run toggles enabler scripts to edit Setting Storage database & enable toggles in your ROM? Here's a very simple MOD to automatically enable all/hidden toggles,
Edit /system/csc/feature.xml & insert the following lines:
Code:
<!-- Toggles -->
<CscFeature_Setting_DefNotificationPanelOrder>Wifi;WiFiHotspot;MobileData;NetworkBooster;Bluetooth;PowerSaving;UltraPowerSaving;Location;Sync;SilentMode;AutoRotate;MultiWindow;AllShareCast;QuickConnect;SFinder;AirView;AirGesture;SmartStay;SmartPause;SmartScroll;AirplaneMode;CarMode;DrivingMode;DormantMode;Ebook;ToddlerMode;SmartNetwork;Nfc;SBeam;Toolbox;TouchSensitivity;Flashlight;WifiCalling</CscFeature_Setting_DefNotificationPanelOrder>
<CscFeature_Setting_DefQuickPanelOrder>Wifi;WiFiHotspot;MobileData;NetworkBooster;Bluetooth;PowerSaving;UltraPowerSaving;Location;Sync;SilentMode;AutoRotate;MultiWindow;AllShareCast;QuickConnect;SFinder;AirView;AirGesture;SmartStay;SmartPause;SmartScroll;AirplaneMode;CarMode;DrivingMode;DormantMode;Ebook;ToddlerMode;SmartNetwork;Nfc;SBeam;Toolbox;TouchSensitivity;Flashlight;WifiCalling</CscFeature_Setting_DefQuickPanelOrder>
You can also add your custom toggles names separated by semicolon ";".
Enjoy!
Thanks for this. I actually tried editing the Settings Storage DB first, and then tried this. Got the WiFiHotspot working with the toggle, but still not seeing the flashlight toggle. Is there something I need to do first to get flashlight working before enabling the toggle. I just can't seem to get it to show up after the changes, resetting the toggles and rebooting - nothing. Thanks again...

You need to also MOD SystemUI.apk & SecSettings.apk to enable Flashlight.
Ah ha! Thanks for the quick reply. That was making me crazy - like I said, WiFiHotspot worked right away with the Settings Storage db edit, so I couldn't understand why flashlight didn't. OK, so searching around, I found this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2617552
I assume that procedure would work, but it looks a little above my pay grade. Gonna have to do some reading and give it a shot tonight after the wife and kid are asleep. But just to clarify, I don't have to flash anything to make this work - I took Safestrap off and back to just working on stock. Thanks...

You may wait for JasmineROM v2.2, which is a Stock-like clean & fully featured ROM.
Nice, I thought you still had to have the script run in the updater-script to run the toggles.sql. One less step is better, thanks.

I'd say that you could remove 3Minit Battery..or put mods in Aroma Installer, and let Choose what and not to install with the ROM. Viper4Android also would not be bad in AROMA Installer. Agreed with the removal of Quick Connect and S Search
Just Installed and Removed cause I noticed Big Bugs:
1) No Status bar
2) Black wallpaper, cant set even from Gallery nor Wallpaper selector
3) No lockscreen
I installed as described. @liamstears

Damn, don't worry though I know the problem, I will get this fixed up and re-upload soon
Have fixed the bugs, adding a couple more mods and re-uploaded
new mods are:
added 360 degree rotation
increased quick settings toggles to 6
removed increase ringing on incoming call
All working now so please download and report findings and suggestions
As for 3minit I plan to leave it in place, as I see it there are many battery mods to choose from to keep everyone happy, some cool and some pretty stock looking so options are there
As for viper4android if I get enough people wanting it I could add it as an option during install
Posted a small Update to the op:
home key wake disabled
volume level warning disabled
disabled battery/back cover popups
camera quality mod
slight volume boost on speaker and headphones
Can I get some feedback guys?
Unable to save wifi settings
Hi there - thanks so much for the rom - works perfectly but for one issue - it can't remember my home wifi network! I have to input the password each time I connect to the wifi which is mindblowingly annoying.
Not sure whether this is due to the ROM or not, but I have re-installed it after nuking everything via TWRP - cache, system, dalvik, the whole lot.
Didn't have this problem myself, maybe try flashing NON-HLOS.bin from POD1?

In fact, I've used ES File Explorer in root mode to view the wpa.supplicant file and can see that when I disconnect to wifi, the entry is deleted on disconnection. No idea why this is happening. I may have to just install the EE rom directly. How disappointing.
I know the thread is relatively old, but is there chance to refresh rom link ? I badly need wifi calling on S5.
Also is there lock for wifi calling on EE ROM? Im using EE ROM with PRT network but Wifi calling doesnt show up on the screen Phone>Settings>Call settings>[end of the list].
Looks like wifi calling on stock EEROM show up only when MNC/MCC on the sim is matching.

Anyone gotten into the System UI Tuner on Marshmallow? How?

So I have successfully upgraded OTA to 6.0.1 and rooted.
I'd like a relatively easy way to turn hot spot on and off without having to go through at least three clicks (and that's if I put the Settings icon on the home screen; otherwise it's four).
The old tried-and-true method of editing the Settings DB with SQLite no longer works. I thought I'd just give the new System UI Tuner a try, but it would appear that Sprint/Samsung have locked this out. The two known methods to enable it (long press on the gear icon after pulling down the window shade, or going to Developer Options under settings) are not available on the Sprint S5. I can see the System UI Tuner package intact on the phone, but there's no way, as far as I can tell, to launch it.
For that matter, Sprint seems to have removed all the Settings widgets except "Flashlight," so you can't even put a setting widget on the home screen to get you close.
If anyone has figured out how to get into the UI Tuner, or restore the locked Settings widgets, please let me know.
Before anyone suggests it, yes, I am aware that there is a root app to enable/disable the hot spot on the market, and I have the APK for it. I removed it because it runs continuously, even when not using the hot spot, generating "granted root access" popups at inopportune times. Besides, I'd kinda like to see what else is in the UI Tuner to tweak.
Thanks.

No, I have to go to settings/more networks. That's another tile I would add to quick launch if I could only modify it at all....

System UI Tuner - Apply System UI Tuner settings on any Android device.

I just received the Nougat update and realized that the big Samsung in the sky disabled System UI Tuner. So when faced with defeat I decided to spin up an Android emulator and using the some nifty ADB commands reverse engineer all the settings inside the System UI Tuner menu. I then confirmed you could just apply the same settings and they would work and then created an easy to use application to apply them.

To get started you will first want to enabled [Developer Options]:
Go into [Settings]
Tap on [About device]
Repeatedly tap on the [Build Number] until a toast notification comes up stating you have enabled developer options.
Go back
Next you will want to go into [Developer Options] and enable [USB Debugging]:
Go into [Developer Options]
Scroll down and tap on [USB Debugging]
Finally plug in your device to your computer accept any prompts that appear on your phone and run the application. The application will take a few seconds to load as it finds your phone, but after that you will be able to select the settings you want and see them instantly apply to your phone. Features I've noticed that do no work on the Galaxy S7 are: Battery Percentage in the icon, and Do Not Disturb features.

Power Notification Controls on the Galaxy S7
No alarm icon showing and long time.
This is a great app - warning for S7 users, though - when I tried to disable the alarm icon, the phone kept crashing system UI. I fixed it by relaunching the app and turning the alarm icon back on. So far, that's the only thing I've seen that doesn't work. I have time and battery icon turned off and so far the phone has rebooted a few times without any issues - it doesn't crash system UI and remembers my settings.
Nice work! Great way to hide time/battery without root.

That is strange. That is the one thing I have disabled and it's working for me on my S7 (SM-G930T). I did do a factory reset after getting the update so that may be the reason why it's working on my phone.

I don't get errors disabling any icons, however, when I'm trying to enable the battery percentage in icon and nothing happens. Do you know any way to do this? Hiding icons is pretty nice without root. Good job.

That is correct. I did not see any changes with battery percentage, or with the Do Not Disturb features. (Should have probably included that in the original post.) I left them in the app, because maybe they will work on other phones.

I used it to remove the annoying Alarm Icon. I always have an alarm so having a icon for it seems a little redundant. Thank you for this!

Great idea! After digging through the android source code on how the icon_blacklist setting works. Then digging through a DeOdexed Marshmallow rom (Thanks @muniz_ri [thread=3415952]thread[/URL]) and de-compiling a few APK's, I was able to find the key Samsung uses on the NFC icon. (For anyone interested it's "nfc_on") A link to the new version has been updated in the original post.

Absolute legend works a treat on my S7 !!!!
Would it be possible to remove the carrier name from the status bar with this app?
I've tried using this and it's Power Notification Control setting is very buggy on my S7. It works perfectly fine on my wife's. This lead me to believe that maybe it was an internal thing going on with mine because I was a beta tester for samsung and she wasn't, but we're both on 7.0, so I flashed stock 7.0 with odin to have a clean system and see if that was the problem, but I'm still having the same issue.
(It changes the ui, adds the option but when I go to activate it, I can not push the star to activate the bar and change the setting.
This mod has improved my quality of life. HAHA!

I am happy to find this app. Hate that alarm and bluetooth icon always being there. Seems to be working great on my S7 edge. Is there a way to remove the AM/PM in the clock? I know when its morning or night.
Love the app any chance to remove this garbage it added after root?

I would love this as well. I know if it's am or pm. I was a beta tester for 3 months and I repeatedly asked samsung to remove it. Worthless and takes up space.
I have tried using this app on my Galaxy s6 but it does not work. I do know however that the icon_blacklist adb commands do in fact work (as I have used them to hide my wifi and cellular icons in the status bar), so if this program is based on icon_blacklist, then it should. I researched androidlib.dll and made sure I have .NET framwork 3.5 or higher installed and enabled, and I do. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, it's a Samsung Galaxy S6 920v, MM 6.0.1. Not sure if this will work only on Nougat or not.

Incredible app.
Is there any way to activate the "Dark Theme" in the SYS UI Tuner? Especially useful for us S7 AMOLED users.
Hi,
This is a great program! I'm just curious, will this work with other phones? We are experimenting with the same thing over on the LG V20 forums but only with the adb commands themselves, no front-end app or anything like that. So is it possible that this would work?
If not, would you mind sharing the adb command for enabling Power notification controls? That's the feature I want the most but after some quick Googling I can't find out how to do that.
Thanks!
EDIT: Whoops, I didn't see on GitHub that it says it will work on any Android device. I tested it out on the devices in my signature (LG V20 US Unlocked & LG G Pad III 8.0 Wi-Fi if you're on mobile and can't see my signature). The "Power notification controls" feature that I was mostly after doesn't work. I have the same problem as these guys:

Any ideas? I messed around with a few of the "Status Bar" icon settings and those seem to work.
EDIT 2: I figured out how to get Power notification controls working (kinda)! It's still a little wonky and sometimes it locks up, crashes, or just resets though. blankfaced and Patybello, let me know if this works for you. What you have to do is get a notification from the app you want to change into your notification shade. Then slowly pull it left or right just a little bit until the cog icon appears, and click on it. From there if you tap the star icon with the A in it you can set the app's notification priority level (some levels on certain apps cause the notification window to reset/crash when you select them though , so YMMV)! Just make sure you hit "Done" afterwards. Sometimes you can then go into Settings > Notification > Apps to change it from there but a lot of times it just completely freezes up or resets itself, so I would recommend not trying to make any changes in there. I can't reboot my phone right now but I did reboot my tablet and it appears that the priority levels stuck, so hopefully this lasts!

help finding a replacement Oreo TW rom please

Hi, I'm looking for a suggestion on a ROM to replace my current one.
I've used Superman after trying all the roms available about a year or so ago. Now it's EOL and I need an Oreo rom. I've spent the better part of two days installing a bunch and setting them up and finding issues. I have a handful of features that I really would prefer to have, and can't find anything that lines up. I don't think they're over the top features, just can't find them together.
Here's what I put together for what I'm looking for:
Musts:
Stable
Magisk, or can flash Magisk with MoRo Kernel
Dialer has "places" tab to search nearby things
Most Samsung apps removed, no upday, no skype
Removed brightness and volume warnings
Fingerprint unlock on first boot - can't find a flashable mod for this
Network up/down speed on status bar
Call recording
Status bar/Tiles/System UI/etc work with Galaxy Themes
Can install http://tekhd.com/detonator/ T-Mobile CSC for Wifi Calling and VoLTE
Would prefer but can probably find alternatives:
Has reboot to recovery in boot menu.
Long press back button to end - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=flar2.homebutton
would be nice if it were built in, but can work around
Dual speakers - could just flash: https://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/themes/mod-dual-speaker-sound-mod-v4-0-oreo-8-0-t3787782
Ok without but nice to have:
Mobile data confirmations were also removed.
Selectable boot menu choices
Fingerprint from always on for unlocking when screen off
- is it really a battery drain? Superman had it and my battery was ok.
Swipe from right to pull down tiles
Only reason I want to stick with TW is the camera quality. Wish that didn't teather me to it.
Could anyone please suggest ROM's that have most of those things? Or alternative ways to get them that doesn't involve disassembling?
Thank you

Recently tried that one. The Detonator TMobile CSC didn't work, I think maybe because it's a S9 port, so no VoLTE/WifiCall/places dialer. I saw the BlackkPearl N8, but that doesn't have many features. HyperRom was close, but the OneUI breaks all theamability.
Currently testing Deluxe Rom, seems to have all that and more. Though stability might be precarious based on its thread. About to root with Magisk via the MoroKernel 5.0 installer. *crosses fingers*
Also, the Deluxe Rom AC/DC boot animation + sound is the most gaudy boot animation I've ever seen, lol. Fortunately it's optional.
Got all the things installed on Deluxe Rom, so far so good. I sure hope the battery life is ok and it's still stable tomorrow.
Between xposed modules and magisk modules, most of your list could probably be completed on any ROM. I'm still on Superman Nougat, and I'd say I have more mods from xposed modules than what the ROM offered.
