Looks like MIUI6 got ported to this device. No whether it was based on the high end or the low end of the versioning scheme, I'm not sure, but it's worth a check out.
Please go ahead an create an XDA account (so you can post in other forums), if you haven't already. From there, check out this thread:

Feel free to investigate where the ported ROM can be found, steps to flash, et cetera. Or you can add a request to that thread for the custom ROM you want.
