Need DFS tool band settings! Please, Help! - Verizon HTC One (M8)

Hello,
I messed with band settings in DFS tool and now unfortunately don't know the exact stock settings there. If someone could post 2 screens - for CDMA/GSM/HSDPA and LTE, I would be grateful. Need help in this, please.

What exactly did you do? And what is missing? Using DFS tool, only bands you can switch to the best of my knowledge is LTE bands. The other bands aren't supposed to be changed. I have the LTE bands that are stock but not the other bands. Let me know what bands your talking about? I would also advise you to ask the forum in the link I have for enabling LTE bands. You might have better luck there. I can hook my phone up to DFS tool and see what bands are enabled by stock in other then LTE. Also, if you switched bands like you said in hidden system settings, a lot of times that will cause ur phone to lose radios. Have you tried flashing firmware? Also flashing a full RUU of phone and then do a factory reset might be ur best option. I would do that, let me know, still doesn't work I'll hook my phone up to DFS and get you what you need.

Unlock LTE for CDMA network

I have a G920v and want to use it with ChinaTelecom that is the only CDMA carrier in China. I rooted the phone and unlock the LTE band 3 but still can't use 4G. I did much research and found Verizon would lock srlte by carriers_policy.xml in EFS or telehphony.db in /data/data. But I can't found these files in G920v. Anyone know how to do?

Are you saying you can't find the telephony.db or you can't find what you are looking for in the telephony.db?

I found telephony.db but it 's not the file to control which carrier can use srlte.

Yes. I read the thread and try following intro. It can enable LTE BAND 3 but can't make SRLTE works. The phones from VZW often limited using LTE by other CDMA carriers by a xml file named carriers_policy.xml. To find it, you must connect the phone to QPST and run the EFS explorer. It is placed in /policyman. But I can read any by EFS Explorer with my SM-920V. A error shows that the format of EFS partition can't be recognized.

What is QPST?
I am curious if the VZW S6 actually has the proper antenna and path for Band 3.
I'm sure the chipset has support, but it doesn't seem like there is a resource that specifies what the bands the phone actually can support.

I confirm Band 3 works. After following the post about Service Menu to unlock Band 3 I tested FDD LTE of ChinaUnicom and it worked well. But this carrier run a GSM network so I needn't do more than adding its APN. But for CDMA network, some other operations need to be done.

Thanks, I think it is crazy how there is seemingly no official resource that lists exactly what bands a phone could support. The FCC docs only show bands 13, 4, and 2. Who knows what LTE band capabilities a modern phone might support?

Can you clarify, to use LTE band 3 on a GSM based network, does anything need to be done to the phone (besides the APN)?
(after trying to use the HTC One M8 on Telstra LTE in AU didn't work, I was hoping the S6 would!)

If you can operate NV items by QXDM, To enable bands not listing in FCC isn't too difficult.

At first, you need following the post to enable HiddenMenu. In service menu you can find the place to enable some additional bands which include Band 3.

So basically, unless this phone is rooted, I won't have access to band 3?

In other words, bands listed here are actually fully supported by the device? My impression is that the chipset may supported the bands, but that doesn't mean there is an full RF transceiver and antenna path.
try this :
*#27663368378#
go to nas, and choose ur preferred network. reboot. if no signal, ##3282# go to bsr, tap the get lte file, tap until you got the signal and everything works.
Type ##3282# and you will find a option to enable the hiddenmenu. I have tested that 's not need to be rooted.
It's truth that enabling every band is impossible. But at least I know Band 1 and 3 are actually enabled. I tested to confirm it. Of course, there is some other operations to enable band 1, but it's not my purpose for this post.
Now I want to get help from someone to find a file like /efs/policyman/carriers_policy.xml in Sony Z3v and Moto Droid Turbo. It can be found by QPST EFS Explorer. But for G920V or G925V, EFS Explorer can't take effect.

Can you tell us how you get the band 3 working? If I go to service mode and if I want to activate band 3 the "*" never stays next to the band 3 line. I works for band 2,14,17, all line as well.
Thanks in advance

running stock version AOC3
in service mode/UE SETTING MENU/STTING/SYSTEM/"LTE BAND ON/OFF" When I try to enable band 3 I get the message : "not support". When I try B4: I get the choice between enable and disable.
Do you run a newer version than me lostvangel? Did you enable LTE bands with the menu LTE BAND ON/OFF?

I've got a ChinaUnicom 4G sim card, but after one-week-long struggle,I still can not unlock FDD LTE of ChinaUnicom on my verizon S6. Could you share your knowledge about how to unlock band 3 for ChinaUnicom 4G? I will appreciate it very much!
Thx!

Hi Hyelton, thank you for your reply. The phone does too, its listed on the specifications and it picks up the band and the network when I do a manual search for available networks. when trying to connect it connects to the HSPA+ network not LTE. I believe this is a limitation that ATT might have added. I need someone help me remove it.

AT&T would NOT have a limitation on it. If you do a network search and it comes up, and fails to connect something somewhere else is wrong. Make sure you have the correct APN?
The APN settings have been checked and work fine on a note 3 N9005, somethings up with the d850, can someone help with that please
the phone does, the speck says, roaming 1800 on the att site and even the lg specs say it does. the but i think the stock rom on the att d850 some how prevents it, please help

mz602 do not save modem setting

Hi all. Please help. Two days looking for solution on my problem cannot find. I have xoom mz602, first I thought that I have mz600. In the beginning tablet was working good also 3g EVDO internet of my local operator Intertelecom, I am from Ukraine. I know that there is some difference with regions for modem, maybe tablet from US but the connection on the adapter is UK. Internet worked good, but tablet itself worded very slowly. I decided to flash on stock firmware and then input setting for CDMA operator, I had conversation with technician and he gave me all I need. So first I flashed some firmware for 4G xoom which I found. I new that there are three xooms, just WiFi version, version with GSM 3G, version with CDMA 3G (MZ600) and upgraded MZ600 version with CDMA LTE 4G which is MZ602. When I press + and _ buttons togather with power I see "LTE modem off". So I understood that I have 4G version with LTE, but why it is off I didn't know. But I saw some man wrote that he also saw this in his tablet but modem works fine. Because of this "lte off" I understood that I have 4g LTE version. I tried almost all firmwares from MZ600 and MZ602 but I cannot same settings for modem, looks like modem has read only some parameters, and I do know know how to make them writable. I tried CDMA workshop, DFS, QPST. Maybe with some firmware I blocked the modem, and how to unlock it I didn't find. If someone know here on forum know what is my problem please help.
So, as I first time had problem with this xoom tablet, I din't know that LTE modem must be removed. As internet before was working I didn't know that I need to remove it. Looks like technician of internet provider company installed it back. This maybe help for someone. If you have MZ602 with LTE modem installed then just remove it and then you will be able to program your table with programs CDMA workshop, QPST, DFS etc.

Are you still able to enable/disable LTE bands on the AT&T variant of the S8+?

My area has some LTE bands that are extremely congested, and as an iPhone user I am unable to select particular LTE bands for my phone to use. Does anyone know if this is still possible by using the *#2263# method? I know it was with the S8 in the beginning via service mode but I'm not sure if a software update killed it. If you can, could you please provide the method for doing so? Thanks a lot!

Help setting bands on unlocked J700P

I have a SM-J700P with a baseband of J700PVPU2BQJ2 that I unlocked and moved over to AT&T. I have it working on GSM but it says 3G at the top. I was told it may be on HSPA+, but looking here, I should be able to get on LTE just fine:
https://www.frequencycheck.com/carr...-sm-j700p-galaxy-j7-td-lte/at-t-united-states
I guess I want AWS?
Is there a way I can select the preferred band, and will that reset my phone? I have tried *#2263#, it doesn't work. Any help would be amazingly appreciated!
Also shouldn't my virgin boot screen switch to AT&T? I wish it would.
EDIT: Inputting "Q" on *#0011# doesn't do anything either
Do I also have the option of forcing bands?
