I want to know if my bootloader is unlocked or lock - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

Hi guys, I own a SCH-I535 or Verizon Samsung Galaxy SIII and I use Casual Root, Unlocking Bootloader and Flashing CWM Recovery and it works fine, no errors. I verify that I am rooted because of the SuperUser installed in my phone. Also I verify that I have now a custom recovery CWM recovery. What I want to verify now is that if my SCH-I535 bootloader is unlocked so that I can install new custom rom from this forum. Anyone can help much really appreaciated. Thanks guys for those who will reply to this thread. P.S. I'm just a beginner.

If you have CWM installed and can boot into it, your bootloader is unlocked and you can install a custom ROM

Please help me Unblock bootloader for Samsung Galaxy Player 5.0 YP-G70 International

Hi Guys,
I don't know if this is the right section to post this question, I'm new in the forum.
I just kept my ex boyfriend tablet and now I'm experimenting with it, but I have a few questions:
If I want to use Odin to flash a custom kernel , let's say rj's Kernel, do I need to have the bootloader unlocked ?
How do I unlock the boot loader for Samsung Galaxy Player 5.0 International version ?
Could you please help me Unlock the bootloader ? Could you please explain if I need the bootloader unlocked to install a custom kernel with ODIN ?
Do I need the bootloader unlocked to install a recovery and then do a Nandroid backup and then install a custom kernel ?
Device:
Samsung Galaxy Player 5.0 - YP-G70 International version.

To flash a ROM or recovery and do a NAndroid backup you need an unlocked bootloader.
To unlock your bootloader, use this Windows program: http://www.mediafire.com/?f3gi19g1zz3frg3
I hope this helps you, but don't forget, with unlocking your bootloader, all your data will be erased!

well with this device im not sure if you need to unlock the bootloader. some need the bootloader unlocked some don't. i would ask in the official forums for the Player http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-player you need to tell them its international as well.
Thanks Guys, it has been really helpful.
Could you please let me know the name of the program I have to use to unlock the bootloader for this device?
I've been reading like crazy and I understood when I unlock all data will be lost, but that's not a problem at all.
Then I would like to flash rj's kernel which comes with Clockworkmod and then from there I would be interested in doing some Nandroid backups and installing cyanogenmod.
In fact I would like to be able to do a backup even before installing a custom kernel so I can preserve the original kernel and android, I installed an application called something like nandroid backup and I managed to do a backup compatible with clockworkmod but the thing is that it skipped the boot and recovery folders, so it makes me think the bootloader is locked.
Please any comments are very welcome.
If there is anyone here from Ft. Lauderdale we could even meet in a mall and do the thing together with the laptop.
Thanks again for all your help honeys

[Help] Can't install custom recovery !

Hello,
I have some problem to install custom rom and recovery on samsung US device
Can I unlock bootloader for this device ? what I should do to install Custom recovery ?
Thank's
Sadly, you cannot unlock your bootloader past the 4.1.2 update (excluding 4.1.2), and the only custom recovery that works is SafeStrap. All of the ROMs you install past said update must be on the TouchWiz kernel, so there's no escape.

You're going to have to provide a lot more info cuz that doesn't make sense. Flashing a custom recovery on a Verizon S3 (SCH-I535) with 4.3 or 4.4.2 causes a hard brick upon rebooting the phone.

ok, what can I do now to install a custom rom to get another language and get mmi code when I'm looking that ?
Thank's

[Completed] [Q] help getting safestrap / TWRP / CWM recovery on my s5 g900v

Hello! First time post. I just rooted my Samsung Galaxy s5 verizon today, and this forum has proven very helpful. Now I am trying to install a custom recovery mod like TWRP or CWM because it seems this is essential for rooted users. Anyways I am new to this and don't have very advanced technical programming skills so I would really appreciate some help here. So far I've read that verizon version of this phone has strict permissions and haven't found a method for installing TWRP or CWM that works. I've done quite a bit of searcing, if someone could point me in the right direction that would be appreciated!
I've tried using the ROM manager app, TWRP manager app, and also tried to find a version of TWRP to flash. I got close with the TWRP manager but it asks me to "Ensure partition listed below is correct one for your device.... if not then you could brick...." directory is dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/recovery is this correct? I am worried this may not be the correct method, or directory, and couldn't find my answer online.
thanks in advance
here is what i found:
galaxys5root.com has a method for installing safestrap.
worked on my galaxy s5 g900v
apparently there's still no TWRP or CWM available ?
Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. The Verizon S5 is indeed locked down pretty tight, you can't unlock the bootloader or install TWRP or CWM recovery. Safestrap is the way to go:

[Completed] in desperate need for flashing a d2vzw(Verizon SGS3) SCH-I535

Hey everyone, I've been researching for days, trying to figure out how to Unlock my bootloader on a 4.2.2 OS d2vzw(Verizon SGS3) SCH-I535. it seems the only way I can start flashing new roms( specifically CM 12.1) is to install a custom recovery such as TWRP or CWM, but it locks up my recovery and I end up flashing the stock 4.2.2 over and over again. are there alternatives ways to flash roms? is it impossible to unlock my bootloader on a 4.2.2? is there a way I can downgrade my bootloader? help please nothing is working and I can't find current information....Thanks. :good:

Galaxy S3 Verizon Recovery Issues HELP!!!

I wanted to install twrp on my Galaxy S3 Verizon running Kitkat 4.4.2 and without realising till after I installed it the boot loader was locked . I then rebooted my phone and received a message somewhere along the lines of " this software is not authorized by verizon" now I did not install the recovery because I did not want to risk bricking my phone because the boot loader is locked I clicked canceled and bypassed the screen into the Os. The problem I'm having is that I wanted to know if anybody knows how to install At LEAST the stock recovery back on the phone so I do not have to worry about having a recovery anymore . My phone is also rooted with superuser permissions and before I installed the Custom Recovery I Backed up my User apps and System Data if that helps at all Please I just want the phone with the stock recovery at least or will I be stuck without a recovery screen ?
You can't install twrp on the locked 4.4.2 bootloader. The only soemwhat custom recovery you have the option of is safestrap with the few limited bootloader locked roms

Yes. You will have to use Odin to go back to stock 4.4.2.
