In the limited testing I've done (two movies), I can confirm that this version of MX Player works on my Nexus 7 (1st gen) running 4.3.

Maybe you know this app as playanddownloadmp3, AV Music Downloader or Easy Music Recorder. All these apps are subsidiaries of these project. Every time google remove the previous one from the play store i have to compile the h1dra source with another id and name. But the kernel is from h1dra.

I have still not received any update for MX Player Pro, its still on 1.8.20 whereas MX Player Free version is on 1.9.10. Is Pro update still halted?

MX Player 1.9.1 is not available to everyone. It's released to those people who has opted to be an alpha tester in Google Play. So, we do not recommend it to install if you don't want to be a tester. You can get the test builds from our official page " https://sites.google.com/site/mxvpen/translation/test-build " rather than using a third party repo.
Regarding Pro, It's just a test build for alpha testers. We will roll out the same to the pro version if there is no major issue reported from our alpha testers.

Instructions are there in the link I have mentioned.
It's very simple. Open MX Player Page on Google Play app. Scroll down to the bottom & select "Become to Tester" button.
I have tried to become a beta tester but i got this message after i followed the instructions:
The app is not available for this account
Your account is currently not eligible for the app's test program.
If you have been invited to become a test person, make sure you are logged in to the account that received the invitation to the test program. If you have been invited to a Google Group or Google+ Group as part of the program, please remember to sign up for the group.

We have currently disabled alpha/beta testing of Pro version.
We will roll out a more stable version to Pro users after testing with Free version alpha testers.

This is a complaint, or maybe a claim. I am a bit annoying, because as a user of the MX Player Pro, I see that the free version it is 3 versions up with respect to the payment version, and the fact that the free version is always several advanced versions is what bothers me the most, because I as a user of the Pro version I ask myself: Why does the free version receive updates often while the Pro version receives updates from time to time?
For most apps that have a payment version, his version number is equal or higher with respect to the free version. So now, while the PRO version is in version 1.15.9 it is unfair to see that the free version is in version 1.18.5 or as I said at the beginning 3 versions advanced with respect to the payment version. And could bet that if this doesn't change, for when version 1.18 arrive for the pro version, the free version will already be in version 1.21 or 1.22 or perhaps in a larger number.
Perhaps I invest badly my money at MX Player Pro when I see that the developer has more preference for the users of the free version? Why is MX Player Pro always is for below MX Player Free when it comes to the version number?
It's assumed that users of a payment version of any app are the first to receive updates, but now I see that this doesn't apply for MX Player Pro. ?
I'm making an assumption here, but I think most of their effort goes to the Indian video streaming service which their app is used for in the free version. The pro version doesn't have this service, it's a player only, so it likely does not need updates as often.

Thanks for sharing your concerns.
As rightly mentioned by @Sunspark, free version of the MX Player also includes some of our regionally restricted ad-supported services and ad-modules. So, MX Player may not be updated when there is a change related to the modules that only exists on our free version. Also, some new features may initially land on the free version so that we can monitor the stability issues and get it fixed before releasing them to our paid users. However, we will eventually merge all local player-related features to the Pro version once they reach stable level.
I have a question, why mx player Pro is not using Android 10 media controls in notification panel.

Hi Everyone,
I recently made the switch from my 2017 shield to the new for my media consumption. I've never really had issues with the program till now. MX Player Pro boots up and I can accept the terms but then when the Folders view open I'm stuck and none of my remote buttons do anything. I can't navigate to the menu etc. Anyone experienced this before and knows a solution? I've tried the official APK from the play store since I purchased the pro version but also the APK from the official website.
I'd like to start using it again so any tips are welcome (It's probably something really stupid that I'm overlooking lol).
Current Older versions of MX Player do not navigate properly in android TV layout (Video here). You need a menu or "hamburger" button to navigate the app with a remote. A different input device like a gamepad, keyboard, or phone may help
I'm having the same problem running MX Player Pro version 1.32.8 (installed from the Play store) on my "Chromecast with Google TV" device (the app is installed on the device, not casting from another device). There is no hamburger menu and the D-Pad buttons on the remote control do nothing, so MX Player Pro is unusable.
I've tried installing MX Player 1.34.5 (i.e. the non-Pro, free, advertising-supported version), also via Play Store, and that works correctly. I'd prefer to use the Pro version that I've paid for though.
I've opted in to the beta version on the Play Store yesterday, but it's still on 1.32.8 with no updates available.
It'd be much appreciated if the Pro version could be updated to resolve this issue please, thanks very much!
I've just received an update to MX Player Pro (Beta) version 1.34.5 (so now the same number as the non-Pro version) on my Chromecast with Google TV device and unfortunately the problem is still there.

Its been fixed in beta 1.35. Beta fixes should be added to the pro version eventually
I've just spotted that it's mended for me now on my Chromecast with Google TV, running MX Player Pro 1.36.11. Thanks very much for fixing it!
