Bootloader unlocked and tampered flags set to true even after flash; unlocked before - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

When I got my OPO, cm 11s, I unlocked the bootloader and rooted. In preperation for 12.1, I flashed the cos 12 factory image and basically left it, waiting for 12.1. Today I installed 12.1 using the stock cyanogen recovery, and then wanted to root it. (all drivers are set up properly) I tried fastboot oem unlock but nothing happened, phone didn't get wiped; it just said task finished, 0.0 seconds. Then I did fastboot oem device-info and it returned "Device tampered: true" and "Device unlocked: true". So it thinks the bootloader is unlocked, even though it's not. And so the oem unlock command doesn't work. How can I reset the flags?

U said u unlocked it when u received it, OPO does not came with automatic lock that it will lock itself. Once u unlocked it it will remain unlock until u lock it again.

Why do you think it's locked? It's obviously unlocked, the bootloader stays unlocked unless you deliberately lock it. Just flash TWRP and then you can flash SuperSU.

Oh. I assumed updating the rom/restoring to factory would re-lock it
Anyways I locked it and unlocked it with a OPO toolkit I found on the forums. I guess that was a waste of time :/

Cannot unlock bootloader

I can't get the bootloader unlocked on a phone I just purchased with a relocked bootloader. I am on firmware 2.20 and my CID reads 11111111. I enter the unlock code and it says successful and I get the warning message on my phone about unlocking the bootloader and I hit yes to unlock. After the phone reboots all my data is wiped but when I reboot back into bootloader it still says relocked. I have tried multiple times with multiple unlock codes but no dice. I cannot get into stock recovery either after running the stock RUU. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

boot into the ROM and make sure USB debugging is enabled.. Reboot to fastboot and type "fastboot erase cache" and then try to unlock again

Bingo! That did the trick. Thank you very much. Man I do miss my old s-off phones.

[Q] "Fastboot oem unlock" Does nothing.

I have owned this phone for about 5-6 months now and have never unlocked the bootloader. I know I probably should of done that when I got it but for some reason I have been able to flash TWRP, Root the phone, and install custom roms without wiping the phone no problem. I am currently on Paranoid Android 4.6 Beta 6 and TWRP 2.8 but I wanted to go back to CM11S, and I thought maybe it's time that I unlock the bootloader. I have installed the correct drivers and when I type "fastboot oem unlock", the Command Prompt said "finished in 0.06 seconds", I then rebooted and nothing happens. I also tried a Toolkit to unlock it but that didn't do anything either. Can anyone help? I don't want to Hard Brick my phone.
Thanks
It sounds like your bootloader is already unlocked.
Try running
fastboot oem device-info
to see what it says. Post your results here and somebody should be able to help you.
The right command is:
Code:
fastboot oem device-info

OnePlus 3 relocking bootloader

I was installed with Twrp and had rooted my oneplus 3.
I unticked root access in supersu.
Booted to bootloader and typed on my pc in command prompt ,"Fastboot oem lock"
This gave a confirmation on my device,I confirmed locking.
And after that my device did not booted up.I managed to get in bootloader again as I was not even able to open the recovery and unlocked the bootloader once again by this my device booted up.
I flashed stock recovery and repeated the relocking process, this time I was able to open recovery also but no able to boot up.
I again unlocked the bootloader and installed twrp back turned my device up.
Then I unchecked oem unlocking under developer options.
Relocked the bootloader once again.
And now I am stuck at bootloader, not able to unlock it even this time as I turned off oem unlocking.
Now I can only open bootloader.
Please help!

OEM locking a bootloader on a phone that was rooted is a big mistake.
You'll need to flash stock recovery, then flash the stock ROM via adb sideload.
Can be done with this tool http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3/development/toolkit-oneplus-3-toolkit-unlock-t3398799
Thanks for reply

Is/Was my bootloader unlocked?

Hi, I own a BLU STUDIO X PLUS (There are no forums here for this device).
NOTE:
I never enabled "Enable EOM Unlocking" in Developer Settings (as the option does not exist)
I never unlocked bootloader via fastboot
When I run "fastboot getvar unlocked", the result is null
I made a TWRP and flashed with SP Flash Tools.
I then proceeded to port several ROMs to my device (which all booted but with camera issues, expected).
However, my question is: Is my bootloader unlocked, or am I really lucky that the ROM booted?
I ask because I know that the bootloader must be unlocked when flashing any custom ROM. I find it odd that I never, ever tampered with the bootloader, but still managed to flash several ROMs.

Some devices do not have locked bootloader, they can be flashed without needing to unlock bootloader.

Question Help unlocking bootloader

Hey guys,
I am trying to unlock my bootloader but it doesnt work, everytime I do the "Fastboot oem get_unlock_data" command, it says it failed to get unlock data.
I have unlock bootloader option in dev settings enabled and all drivers properly installed along with fully working sdk and fastboot tools etc. I have a couple xiaomi devices with different custom roms.
Previously I installed RETLA using tiny fastboot script cus i bought the phone in latin america but software channel says RETAR... Is this discrepancy the problem?
If not, anyone know why even though bootloader unlock option is on, the fastboot command to get the data fails?
Using getvar all i see the cid is 0x0000, i've read that having cid: 0x0000 is the problem, might installing the proper firmware: RETAR change this?

Most likely you will have to forget about unlocking the bootloader.
Reflashing will not help you in any way.

Do you know why the cid is like that? Idk what has been done to it cus I bought it used. Any ideas?
Ty
The boot loader on your phone was blocked incorrectly and the system stopped starting.
cid: 0x0000 is a consequence of the boot loader working state recovery software.
It is now in a state oem-locked" as it was originally from the factory. But you cannot unlock the bootloader now. But, if I'm not mistaken, you can install firmware for any update region without having to unlock the bootloader.
