I've was playing around with my bookmarks of the standard browser.
Now I can't see any tabs (favorite - most visted - history) and i've tried everything to restore them.
Any idea how I can create / make tabs?
(Using stock ICS from HTC)
Very strange. What steps have you tried so far?
- Tried to create new bookmarks
- In setting, I can't find anything which is related to bookmark
- Pressed on several spots on the screen
All without any success!

I think it's listed as 'Internet'.
From Home screen:
Menu key, tap Settings, tap 'All' tab, scroll down to Internet. Tap it, then clear 'cache' or 'data'. Wouldn't this remove the OP's bookmarks though?
Can you add new bookmarks from within the browser by tapping the 'Menu' key, then 'Add To', followed by 'Bookmark', followed by 'Done'?

Got the tabs again but lost all my bookmarks.
Anyway, have to factory reset my device soon or later so it's not a big deal.
Why do browsers developers in Android make the title bar scrollable with the actual page?
This means that the input box disappears once we start scrolling down and that one has to scroll all the way back to the top to input a new web address.
I checked the settings in both the stock browser and Dolphin, to no avail...Am I missing something?

Try ICS Browser + It is basically the stock browser with some extras, and It has a setting to show the navigation bar using 'short fling down'. It's the browser I seem to keep coming back to.

Probably to provide more screen space. You can use Firefox/Firefox Beta/Aurora if you like. Aurora is the only one with Flash support for tablets, but it's buggy support (expect crashes). Otherwise I like Beta and Aurora.

Don't have to scroll to the top at all, just touch the tab and it will bring up the input bar wherever in the page you are.

Excellent suggestion! :good:
Love the ability to auto-switch to full screen once the page is loaded and the possibility of enabling "side sliding" control pads.
Adopted.

I enabled immersive through ADB to hide the navigation and notification bars but now when I'm in Samsung browser and have multiple tabs open I can't view them to switch between. I can hit the tabs button in bottom right corner, it opens tab page but I can't see any of my tabs. Any ideas it's very frustrating. I also tried to use chrome but there is a huge black bar at the bottom.
Use the beta version. Look in the play store

Edit: this works but can't use my bookmarks edge panel with it. Sad day lol guess I'll live without it to go immersive.

Since the BETA fixes the issue, the regular version will eventually get an update as well.
Guys is it possible to change the pop up browser to let's say opera or something?
Default one is giving me issues. Won't open links from mail.

If you mean the browser window which pops up when in another app that's the webview by Google afaik. I don't think this can be changed.

If your using the Gmail app I don't think this can be changed but you can always press the three dots and it will let you open it in chrome. Alternatively, you can use the Sony mail app as this takes you to the web browser always.
If your trying to change this in more apps than the mail app then I'm unsure of this.
Apparently you can change the setting in chrome but I have yet to find that. Will have a look now
I dont use the gmail app and use aqua mail. This defaults to using your browser of choice, when opening links.
deactivate the system app 'setup wizard' after this pop ups will open in default browser

Please post a screenshot of this option in launcher setting. Thanks
I also have Google feed enabled and didn't found any option in launcher settings to change or disable it.
I would like to know how to turn this on as I also just have some smart assistant thing when I swipe across.
I've changed to Action Pixel launcher to get the Google feed enabled but I feel that none of the launchers i've tried so far are as smooth or responsive as the stock ColorOS launcher.

Yes, i'm sure. But I think it may depend on the operator's branding. My phone is branded for Vodafone, perhaps Oppo does some things on their request.
Can you pleas show us the feed?

This is an animated gif, not a picture. If you can't see animation, try to change your browser.
Very curious to find out if installing the launcher version from devices with Google Feed will enable it on devices without Google Feed. Can someone with one of these regional/branded devices check the version number of their launcher?
On certain Huawei phones it was possible to enable the feed by ADB disabling HiBoard. Unfortunately disabling Oppo's feed with ADB does not enable the Google Feed.
The version number is visible in the screenshot in the attachment.
..i have color os version 7.2 (11_A.30) and google feed is only available as a choice (option) in smart assistant settings, simply swiping from left to right opens assistant and you have to choose ( predefined ) from settings ( icon on the top right hand side )
Having the same trouble. Clueless here. Anyone had the same issue and fixed it? Oppo A72 here on Android 10 coloros 7.1
Switched off the Google news feed but when I swipe from left to right, I still have Google but its blank.. anyway.of changing it to another app or switching it off completely?
Hi,
I found a way to "disable" the Google feed without installing another launcher.
If you hide the Google App in the Privacy Settings, when you swipe left, nothing happens. The icon at the bottom which indicates how many pages there are is still visible but honestly it doesn't bother me much.
Hopefully, Oppo will add the option to hide the Google Feed page.
Cheers
