[Help] [SM-G920F] Could someone help me rooting a stock kernel from G920FXXU2COH2? - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone,
I was already able to extract boot.img and build.prop from G920FXXU2COH2, unfortunately my knowledge on rooting only goes this far.
I really would like to use the stock kernel, but rooted, would that be possible? Could you please help me?
This kernel is fast, corrected memory issues and some of the battery drain!
Thanks in advance!
Luis

OK, so let me question how to root S6 with G920FXXU2COH2?
Is there any rooted kernel with source G920FXXU2COH2?
Thanks!

[REQUEST] Can anyone upload here a file from the Epic ROM?

Hey everyone.
In yet another atempt to change the costum lockscreen introduced on TouchWiz for the global variant of the Galaxy S (GT-i9000) I would like to ask you guys if anyone here (using either root explorer or adb) can get me the following file:
/system/framework/android.policy.odex
No costum ROMs please, someone with a stock ROM. (or at least the stock lockscreen)
Thanks for the help and I'm sorry if this has already been posted but after searching a bit I couldn't find it :/
Best regards,
Diogo
you should be able to get it from the system dump located Here
Thanks a lot for the help!

[Q] looking for 4.0.3 stock kernel and need help

hi guys
i had falshed customs kernels to try them out and i didn't like them
and now i want to go back to the stock kernel that we have with 4.0.3 when we updated our nexus ,need ur help as i didn't make recovery for the kernel ( i don't know how)
thanx in advance
Do you have a nandroid backup at any point during 4.0.3 with stock kernel? You can go through the advanced menu and flash the kernel from the nandroid.
I don't think anyone has a compiled stock kernel on here, and don't know if you can use someone elses nandroid safely.
edit: scratch that, lukappaseidue has you covered

HY,i cant help you about the ROM because i dont have your phone and dont know how you have rooted it(S-OF/S-ON),but about the kernell, witch i think will solve your problems, you can flash a recovery, and then wipe cache, dalvik, etc to clean your device, and then flash the SPECIAL kernell for your device, restart, and wait a few moments for it to accomodate .IF you want more details let me know!

I hope you understand my problem I want to make my device faster anyway.. or suggest any other way so that I can meet my objective.

HY,installing kernells is a good way of making your device faster, and more reliable, but if you are rooted, you can overclock your device directly if th processor allows that, just head over to paly store and download rom toolbox, there you will find anything you ever wanted ,as for the roms thery are good options as well, you can see what roms are available for your device from an app called goo manager.I hope that I helped you.

Need an info!!

Hello developers...
I need to know whether if i can install ultra power saving mode on my sparkle. As it has a very bad battery backup. Please help me....
Thanks,
Suhas
If you have stock kernel then it ain't help you you have to flash custom kernel to resolve battery drain and you need to unlock your Bootloader.
