Firefox Like Open in Native App Button In Google Chrome - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have searched a lot on google and xda but have not found this.
If you use firefox for android you can see a small android icon in the status bar which can be used to open the native android app associated with the url.
Is there something similar in chrome for android? I searched a lot but didn't find any.
Is this feature available in built or as an add on in chrome?

[Q] Chrome Beta for Android Laggy?

Chrome Beta for Android is ALWAYS laggy for me and when I stream from Google Play Music it always stutters. Has anyone else noticed this or is it just me? PS if your Chrome to Mobile keeps adding duplicates of your Xoom or phone and you can't find out how to remove the duplicates, they're removable through your Cloud Print Beta devices page. I just found that out. Anyway, does anyone know how to stop all of this Chrome lag and stutters?!?

I think you can remove them in Chrome Beta by long-pressing on the name of the device and then click 'remove'. I notice the option is there, but have'nt actually tried it myself.
Oh you mean where you can see all tabs open on the other devices. I meant Chrome To Mobile, like Chrome To Phone but easier to use and built in to Chrome (well, built into Chromium and Chrome Canary anyway).

Firefox showing different layout for some websites

see the screenshots for example.
on chrome or opera, google's homepage looks and feels like using the google app.
but on firefox, it looks like some java phone's layout.
the "three bar" on the left corner reloads a new page on firefox while on chrome/ opera, it instantly shows the contents hidden in there.
same difference can also be found on facebook mobile site.
I thought the problem occurs because of the user agent (UA) of firefox. so I downloaded a few UA changing add-on for firefox and put the exact UA of chrome. still no changes on websites.
is firefox compressing data just like this?
or it doesn't support javascript or whatever to show a full webpage?
is there any way to enable full site viewing on firefox?
(like tweaking about:config)
Yes. The app's google homepage and search result pages are not updated/Looking like the latest designs.
I think its related to the apps devolopment? Because on my PC Mozilla/Chrome shows me the exact same page designs of google.

browser that does nothing?

So when I click the ads by mistake on some apps, it opens an message to select which browser I will use to open the advertisement link. Then I thought that if there is a browser app that doesn't to anything then if I make that browser app as a default for opening the advertisement, the advertisements wouldn't be any bother to me.
Of course, such browser would be a harm to google advertisements, so i could't find such on the google play store. And so I wondered if there is such browser app developed in xda forums, but could't find such app here with my poor googling skills
Or is it technically impossible to make such browser application? I mean, are there some requirements for an application to be recognized as a browser, so that an browser application that doesn't do anything cannot exist?
If there IS such application, please tell me! :good: thank you

Opening links (provide options or open links from specific apps in specific browsers)

Hi,
So yesterday my Pixel 2 XL got majorly corrupted so I had to re-install everything from scratch including a full wipe and today I re-installed everything but I'm having issues with opening links now...
Before if I opened a link it would ask me if I wanted to open it in Firefox or Chrome, 90% of the time I would open them with Chrome however links from one specific app I open in Firefox mainly because of adblock on Firefox.
How do I get my phone back to either asking what browser I would like to open the links in or better yet make it so all links from a specific app open in Firefox and every other link/app opens in Chrome?
I've checked WebView, Chrome, Firefox and the app I use and there are no "Default Open with" setup on any of them...
Thanks

Question Changing internet traffic to different browser than chrome

Hello guys as im not sure which section this thread should be in but since I'm p7p user with root i chose to go here.
Here's the problem Im facing.
I downloaded brave browser and set it to default browser.
Yet google (and all it apps like to use chrome for internet traffic like opening website from google feed).
Only possible way to divert everything is by disabling Chrome. But doing that you Will lose saved passwords pop up.
So is there any other possible way to change these settings or maybe a rooted app i can use to change system preferences.
Cheers and thanks
I think it's under settings of the app then open web links like say I clicked a Google search of a Facebook post it would launched the app but when I click the app setting then untick open app I'm not sure but I think it's that just looked at chrome it didn't have it but showed deafult browser so might have to check if brave is selected but yours is the 2nd post I seen about brave browser on 7 pro did you get march update by any chance
