Is there any app that is able to record any input and output sound of my Samsung i9500? What I want is to record Viber and Whatsapp calls. But as there is no such app that does that I thought maybe an app that could record any sound that passes through phone hardware will be useful. I am rooted.

I installed Skype the other day, and could not hear myself on the test call. Speaking directly into the mic did not help. I can record voice notes in Evernote with no problem. I can also use Google voice search without issue. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a way to adjust the volume in Skype that I'm missing?

Hey guys,
I'm curious to see if there's anyone doing audio recording from their GS3.
I'm a musician so when I'm not at home, I often will just pull my phone out to record new ideas.
In the past I've just used Voice Recorder and it seemed to do alright, but I'm not sure if it's the phone or the app's updates
the quality seems pretty terrible lately. (Possibly something going on from running CM10 and the audio recording drivers??)
Anyone have any suggestions for recording? I don't care about recording calls,
Something that can pick up a solid range from a guitar or bass without sounding like crap.
Thanks in advance!!
Try TapeMachine Recorder its awesome!

I also use Voice Recorder - works fine for me. I would be great if you posted back with results from other apps - especially quality comparison.
iRig Recorder:

Personally I use SoundCloud only because if I want to record a new riff and then I wanna hear it later, I can just go on my computer browser (soundcloud.com) and access everything I recorded. The other nice thing about using SoundCloud is the REC widget which adds a REC button to your home screen to quickly record new stuff!
Once I tried out Voice Pro I realized nothing else is worth my time. Doesn't stop me from trying other stuff, but nothing else can live up to it.
Has anyone been able to get skip silence feature on the smart voice recorder from the market to work. I am trying to fetermine if this is rom related or hardware related. If not, does anyone have a suggestion for something similar with the skip silence feature. It works great on my nexus 7.

Ok... So... I use poweramp and viper audio in case it makes a difference.
When listening to music and receiving a text my phone used to quickly mute for a split second.
Now my phone has started playing the message tone over the music
Any ideas why it's randomly changed what it does?

Have you made any changes to your phone leading up to the change?
Nope, unless an app updated making the difference?

Completely stock GPM user here. My volume gets temporarily lowered while the notification sound plays.
Maybe its a power amp feature that was patched in?

Maybe? Cus I've always used poweramp. So maybe an update changed it

I haven't used PowerAmp in a while, but I believe there is a toggle for what to do when a notification plays (pause, lower volume, or do nothing).
Hi,
Is there an app/other method I can use to make audio play in the phone's earpiece speaker? For things like playing music files, not just for routing a VOIP call for a specific app.
I have a rooted Nexus 5 running 4.4.4 KitKat.
Thanks
There is an app called earpiece that does exactly what you all for in the play store. Works flawlessly.

Thanks for the fast reply
I tried the Earpiece app and it works but i noticed there's no way to adjust the volume of the earpiece speaker. I tried adjusting the normal volume as well as the ringer volume. Does anyone know a way to adjust the volume using this app?
Edit: The volume changing works. I tested the apps functionality in the youtube app at the time of the post. I restarted and tried it with the stock music player and it worked great.
Hmm, it seems you are right. I last remember it working perfectly but it seems that now volume control doesn't work for me either. My apologies, this is the only solution I have. Hopefully someone else will be able to offer some advice.
EDIT: Spelling
