There is a person who goes around in forums saying he is working on roms of newer version of android, never starting his own thread with an actual rom to be tested, and then send's pm asking funds to promote his work on the new rom that he has promised....
What should I do? Where do I report something like that?
Hi!
You can use the report button (triangle with exclamation mark inside it) to report the thread, post or private message they send you. That is the best option.

I refuse to answer / respond to a thread that does not have a Title that helps anybody else in the future to find information. People complain about not being ble to find stuff here, well this doesn't help at all. This is now the 2nd or 3rd thread with a subject like this (and they are different topics in each).
Learn to post properly please as it will only help the community.

you just responded to it. just kidding. seriously though, i couldn't agree more. give some indication of what your looking for/need help with in your title.
Thread title changed!
(hopefully it's clear enough)
search for softkeyapplet.cpl
read the information on Smartskeys in this thread. some of the custom rom builders have it pre-installed in their roms, since the program definitely helps with one handed use.

Hello mods!
before I get slashed, is it possible to install a sort of counter next to the first post of a thread counting the "thanks" or the "that is a crap rom" in the case of a new ROM build? Like in Win4mobile.
That is to avoid any thread spamming (specially those where the ROM builder asks for user bug reports) where one bug is hidden within 100 "thank you, downloading now" msgs.
Well I don't know if it is possible, but just to give my 5 cents
I just got an e-mail from XpPhone forms saying:
"Regarding customized order , it need mass order (MOQ : about 3K ), pls kindly note that
http://www.xpphone.com/en/yingyong/Customized.html"
I started a thread on XpPhone's forms to see if maybe we can get enough people together we can place a MOQ. I know it will take work but see the post at
http://forum.xpphone.com/thread-282-1-1.html
Just wanted to see if there are some people interested.
It's very interesting device, hope we will see this XPphone soon on the market
I really like this idea, now that device do not have some parts I would like to have. But I wonder, how much devices we would need to order?
I tried the contact form and it returned a "Failed to send your message. Please try later or contact administrator by other way." error. So I thought I'd post here. Please delete if inappropriate.
a message for egzthunder1:
First I want to thank you very much for this post: http://www.xda-developers.com/android/hamster-powered-clock-project-for-android-needs-help/
I think it is the reason I got to see my idea come to life. And this is why I'm writing right now. A coding wizard by the username Blou_Aap has taken upon himself to make this happen. We are working at it and so far we've gone through quite a few releases and lots of downloads in the market. Although still in development, we have a stable, working Live Wallpaper we want to share with the world. Free
The development thread is http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=819988 and we've added and improved on this app with the help of the community. This is how we got the name too
We also have a site about timester up and running complete with a donate section.
www.timester.info
Find more info in the OP of the development thread, including download links, recent changes, etc.
All means of spreading the word is appreciated and welcome - I am hoping for a news update on the original posting.
For any more info or images, I'm a reply away.
Thank you!
Not sure if this should be in Q&A or off topic or what....
Can anyone tell me how to best "follow" interesting posts that are not my own? Better if on either XDA android app or tapatalk android app, but interested even if in Chrome/Firefox/IE....
Examples:
1) A new ROM is out and I want to be notified immediately if the original poster modifies the original post to have a new version. I do NOT want to be notified everytime someone chimes in "Now how do you flash a ROM, again?".
2) Someone's got a thread going about how to do xxx. I reply with a "OK, but I'm seeing zzz rather than yyy like you're saying. What do I do?" Would like to get a notification that someone tells me to do something about it. Would liikely be interested in anything the OP has to say about the thread. Would NOT want to be immediately notified everytime somebody else chimes into the post with "Love the weather in FL!"
