Hello and thank you for using XDA Assist.
This is not a support area, but rather a place where we try to direct members to the appropriate XDA Forum where their questions might be best answered.
If you feel your post would be useful to others, I suggest you start a thread in the general Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting forum at http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help or in a Karbonn-specific forum such as http://forum.xda-developers.com/karbonn-a21 if the steps you outline are applicable to that device.

Thread reported no effort made and you didn't even spell guide right.
@Hunter I have moved your thread because it is NOT development in any way... Also I'm closing the thread because there are much better how to's on the subject... Which are much more clear and easier to understand. For future reference, DO NOT make threads in development for such things. Development is for actual things you create. Thank you.
So.. After a whole week trying to find a succesful way to root this f***ng phone, no success has been found.
I couldn't find this phone's section on XDA so I'm posting this on the general section...
If anyone could give me the link to the section, it would be very appreciated.
This is the phone:
Samsung Galaxy Trend 3 - SM-G3502C
Android Version: 4.3
Build Number: JLS36C.G3502CZCUAOD1
I have tried a number of on android apps, windows software, and even tried rooting manually by adb and linux. But couldn't have a single successful attempt or any signs of progress made...
Can anyone help me out with this phone, the reason I need root is because this is a chinese phone and doesnt have Play Store installed, and I need root access to install Play Store on /system/apps/ and give R+W permission...
Apps tried:
Saferoot
Kingo App Root
iRoot (vRoot/Root Master)
OneClickRoot
TowelRoot
A bunch of .bat rooting scripts
Baidu in-app Rooter
Rooting through ADB (everything was going fine until I had to access Ubuntu's Nautilus, to move the files to /system/ but the device wouldn't mount by MTP on download mode, and I couldn't access the files) link to the guide followed: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2684210
Any help would be truly appreciated, and If there is a way to install play store without the need of root access, or even a good replacement for play store would be really good.
Also, I have 0 experience on custom recovery, so, If any developer out there could create a custom recovery for this phone, I could give them the recovery.img from this phone and modify it to work on this phone. If that's the way it works, idk XD.
P.D. I already opened a thread on XDA-Assist but sorry, I had to move it, I saw that every post on that section had little views and replies and I was worried that this would happened to me on that section to me too. I'm ok if I need to erase it from there but I would like to leave it there for some time if there is any replies.

Hi in this topic i will tell you how to root Android Phones. This method is working on many models if not fell free to comment and ask your question. This will be the No PC root method.
Method 1:King Root
KingRoot is an application what can root your phone without recovery ,without pc and ADB.
How to download and use? First step is to download the lastest apk from this site: Mod edit: Link removed And install the apk.You have one more step , the installing of root. You just need to go in app and it will automatically start the root process.Or if it doesn't tap on big button on the middle. And if you're done i recommend to restart the phone and you have it.
Method 2:Framaroot
This is too an root application what can root your phone without ADB or PC.
First step is to download the apk's lastest version from here: Mod edit: Link removed After you're done of course you need to install it and Open it.You just need to click on exploit(s).It can be show error message with face and it can shot success with face.If fails just try an other exploit. It's a really fast process and you need to restart the phone. And you have it.
If you have any questions or problems fell free to write in comments section. If helped please leave a Thanks!
This topic is covered not only in this forum but in countless forums across this site. There is no need for another generic "how to root" thread here.
Thread closed.
For the past few Months I saw quite a few posts from people asking how to root this phone and no one could root it until now.
The root procedure is easy enough for anyone really
You will need:
Your VF-696
King root(latest version)
A brain
Common sense
5 main spare time
And a working internet connection
You know the drill,I am not responsible for any dammage that you do to your device, there is always a risk when rooting phones, this process should not brick or harm your device,if it does you did not follow the instructions correctly.
First enable usb debbuging. If you did not already do it or you just don't know how to enable it follow this
1.go to your settins menu scroll down to "about phone" and tap on it
2.Once in scroll down to "build number"( your build number should be " LMY47I release-keys") tap on it seven times a pop up should come up and say "now you are a developer".
3.Go back to setting menu and scroll down to your new developer options tab tap on it once in it look for "usb debbuging" when you find it tap on it
USB debbuging should now be turned on.
Simple right now its time to root.
Install king root onto your phone.(You can download it from playstore.don't confuse kingo root with kingroot, kingroot is the one you need to download)
Right, now you can open king root.
It will scan your device info and stuff
If you have internet it will go to the screen where is says "root strategy available"
Click "try root"
It will be slow for the first few percentages when it gets to about 35% after that it will go quite fast until its done.
If root successful reboot you phone and you are done.
You have successfully rooted your device.
READ!!!!!!
I warn you before trying anything that could brick your device get yourself a custom recovery and backup your system I cannot stress enough how important this is.
I'm currently working on a custom recovery I don't have much experience so it could take a while, and after I upload a custom recovery you guys and girls can expect a Custom ROM to be rolling out soon.
All credits go out to the developers of Kingroot.
Best of luck to you all
