Does anyone else have a solid orange light glowing on the bottom left 5th over of the ear piece holes? Just got mine today. Seems really odd!!

Why yes sir I am.
Additionally, I noticed there are Flash LED options. All mine are checked I am assuming this is for the rear LED to alert in case you are away from your device and a notification rolls in? Tested but not getting any LED alerts.

Nah, again that's for the same LED behind the grill. It prob won't flash while it's charging (not sure, never paid too much attention)

Super funny. It is that same micro light but green upon alert. lol
Notification light. HTC has these on most, if not all, of their phones in the last few years.
When charging, the light will be red, and will usually override any notification lights.
When fully charged, it changes to green, still overriding any notifications.
When your battery is very low, it will flash red.
When not plugged in, the phone will flash this light when you get notifications. Usually it only flashes green.
Some HTC phones can flash other colors as well, such as my Desire. For instance, when I get a facebook notification, it shows blue. But from what I understand, not many phones can do colors other than red and green.
I my One S won't arrive until this tuesday, so I cannot test for other colors, but I'm sure somebody else can if they haven't already.

When I plug in my charger, the orange LED goes on, but the battery indicator doesn't change and the power-menu says "Discharging".
I have to pull the cable and re-insert it in order to get it to charge.
Ideas?

Ate you saying if you plug it into the phone first then to the wall it doesn't charge? That's normal, plug it in to the wall first then to the phone.

Damn! I was hoping for wireless charging!
Jokes aside, the charger is always plugged into the wall. Same thing happen at work, I have a USB cable plugged in my computer and I have to plug it in my phone twice before it charges
On my replacement tab running latest 3.1.1 my battery light blinks green orange after charging overnight. Once I open the smart cover, it shows charged and then the light changes green. No other problems I can tell and the battery temp seems OK in gsam. I am using an Anker charger that I used previously with the old tab. I am going to disable xposed and charge with the stock charger to see if it does the same thing.
Anyone else experience this? Thanks.
I have seen this when charging the tablet in the OFF state. It seems to blink when it's done charging. Went away when I booted it.
I also have a similar problem. The led light of my replacement tablet:
1. blinks all the time (orange green) when tablet is fully charged. This happens when the replacement tablet during charging is switched off.
2. is aproximatly 30 second green then starts blinking (orange green) and then is orange and after a while is again green then again starts blinking and this happens over and over again. This happens when the replacement tablet during chargning is powered on.
There is never solid green charging led light even if I have tried to use diferent chargers
I hope this is not a serious problem which could damage the battery of the replacement tablet. I have never seen something like that during charging of different android devices.

Where you able to solve it my shield tablet wont charge anymore and is flashing rapidly green amber
I dont know what to do, i upgraded recently to marshmallow
I downgraded to lollipop
But nothing changed, it happen out of nowhere
I dont understand why this is happening
I really hope someone can help me

Tablet shows low battery and hence, doesn't boot up. When plugged in, the battery light blinks.

Mine case is led solid green.. But finish to boot up.. Is there a way to resolve.. Mine is the replaced tablet

I had the same problem. Then it quit charging completely. I did some searching online and found a solution. Turns out the green wire from the battery had come loose. Soldered the green wire back in to place and it works. No more blinking and it's charging.
If you are going to do this, please be careful when removing the black tape strip. You may accidentally pull some of the other wires soldered to the board.

Ps-Tried with alternate display too...same isue...help me...
Glowing red LED may indicate a very depleted battery or defective battery.

Not only red led glows...green and blue also glowing if I charge it up... Don't know what is the problem with it
Is the phone running a custom ROM?
Is there any way to switch LED indicator on in somce case?
I'll explain. When I plug charger, the LED indicator shines only in case screen off. But I wanna see it when playing games or sms messaging...

Just look with your eyes, if your charger has fallen off or not lol.
Or try to use "Lightflow" app
The colours that are setup in settings are orange while charging, green when full, but it always shows blue whatsoever! Anyone else facing the same issue?
The blue LED indicates Dash charging and can't be changed, unfortunately.
Same Issue..!! Works Fine With Other Chargers..

It is blue when you are using the stock charger. It is working as it should.
