Hi All,
The capacitive buttons of my OPO suddenly stopped working. My phone didn't drop and has no physical damage. I tried an hard reset by flashing CM11s (from COS 12) via unlocking bootloader and executing the right commands in Fastboot mode, but the problem still persists.
I switched to screen buttons, but I prefer the physical buttons for my usage.
My phone is 9 month old and It's very strange that an hardware problems materialize in this way (no new app installed when the problem arose).
Has anyone experience the same problem or someone know how to fix it?
Thanks in advance for help

Hi I recently got a chacha from a friend and certain keys don't work as intended like
pressing d gives me five and the back button makes question marks.
The key still work so I'm wondering if there is a hardware calibration tool
For the keyboard, I have tried resetting the phone and they are still messed up.
Thanks!

I also have this problem, but only when I have the phone in my pants, and creates moisture in the keyboard, especially in summer.
I brought the phone to help with a problem with the green and red buttons. Them I have fixed the problem, I have recalibrated the phone, but the problem of crazy keyboard will occur.
Thanks for reply but..
Thanks for reply but the think is the problem is not disappearing and I cannot login into google and other services because of the keyboard.
The phone has probably been dropped many times so i think its a hardware problem hence recalibrating the keys to what they should be doing may help. I have tried button mapper and tools like that but it requires root access or limited funtionlity
My Desire S has just developed a weird fault that I'm hoping someone on here can help me with. The display is completely blank at all times (including no bootloader screen), the digitizer is still working as I'm getting haptic response when I press power button then slide to unlock as I can remember where the lock ring is. The phone appears to be functioning correctly (receiving calls, SMS, notifications etc). The notification LED is working, phone connects to PC as get the USB connected tone on Windows, although I think it is in charge-only mode as can't access the phone contents. All else seems to be fine.
The phone has unlocked bootloader and has been sim-unlocked with a code and is running ViperSaga 2.2.0 ROM which was flashed about a month ago. not had any problems with the ROM at all so far so I can't imagine it is a software or firmware issue, however I'm open to suggestions!
Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated!
If the screen is also blank while in the bootloader, you definitely have a hardware problem.

As I feared, thanks mate. Logically it would be the display panel that is faulty if the rest of the phone seems fully functional, would you agree?
If a new screen is needed, would I need a new digitizer as well or are they not matched pairs?
Hi everyone,
My One S' screen has suddenly stopped responding to any touch. I've been running CM 11 M8 for almost 2 weeks.
The phone rebooted and after the reboot, the screen has stopped responding to any touch. The hardware buttons still work along with the soft keys. I tried clearing cache/wiping data/flashing another ROM but nothing seems to be solving the issue.
What are some other things I could try to fix this?
Any help will be appreciated! Thanks a lot.

I just got the same issue, have tried factory reset, changed from stock to CyanogenMod (stable 10.2) and nothing's worked... It was working yesterday normally, performed a reset (via the options menu) to sell the phone, after reboot it stopped working. Has someone found the solution to this issue?
Hi everybody! Hope someone can help me with this little problem.
A month ago I had a problem with the vibration on my One S, the engine was broken, so my uncle decided to change it by himself (the phone was bought via aliexpress). Then, there was a problem with the screen and he also changed it. At that moment the phone had CyanogenMod 11 installed.
The problem is that after reparing it, and when I change to a sense based rom, the optical keys for home, back and multitask aren't working, whereas those keys do work when I'm on TWRP or in CM 11.
Does anybody knows what may happen?
Hi everyone,
Just bought (yesterday) a mm3 and I'm facing a very strange issue.
Stock global rom there.
Just after booting, volume buttons are perfectly responding, but after a moment or using them 4 / 5 times, they do not respond anymore.
Do you think it can be a hardware issue ? If then, how to explain that they're working fine just after the device boot ?
Thanks for your help.
I had the same issue with the global rom. the EU rom does not appear to have the same issue so I do think it's software
I had a similar problem while on eu. I had installed a button remapper and even though I hadn't used it it yet my volume buttons would not work outside of waking the screen
Thanks for your reply, guys.
Issue seems to be solved as I installed "Volume Slider Trigger" app.
Well, atm, it's working pretty good.
Thanks
