Hi, I've developed an application to replace the lock-screen when the default Android Music Player is playing.
The application name is Music Player Lock Screen. I pretend to launch the app in Android Market but first I want to share with this great community to help me testing and to hear your feedback.
Since the is no way to control programatically the Home button I've decide to use it for exit the lock screen.
Hope you liked.
Doesn't work with Sense UI, but I guess that was to be expected.
Ringdroid Android app is an open source application for Android Smartphone which lets you to Edit Ringtone. This app is for all the music lovers who want different tunes each day. It’s free ringtone app creates tones, alarms and notifications from MP3, WAV,AAC/MP4, 3GPP/AMR files you load onto your phone through the SD card or that you purchase through the Amazon MP3 store. The controls are out on the interface and all respond to touch. You can set the start and ending notes by sliding arrows along the timeline, by pressing Start and End to record the point, or by typing in time stamps. Zoom buttons help set precise marks on the timeline. Ringdroid is equipped with a Record button on the app interface hence there’s always the opportunity to lay down your own sounds from scratch. This app creates your kind of music for you without any compromise.
wow.. thanks for the info
thanks for the info
I'm using the winamp app for music and it's perfect for my needs other than how it hijacks the whole lock screen if you use it's lock screen controls. Would it be possible to create an app that could control winamp using the "normal" style of lock screen player controls that most music programs use (like play music and pandora). I'm asking this because winamp is officially dead as of today but I'd rather stick with it since it works and I really like it other than the lock screen controls it uses.
If anyone thinks it's possible I'll either look into learning how to make apps or see if I can find someone to do it for me. Thanks.
Hi could someone tell me how I can listen music and watch YouTube at some time because when press play yt or Spotify second app stops play. And second how I can make split screen with 2 different apps don't see option for this only when using Gmail and click link. And last thing I am using swift key and if try to type in multi Windows apps keyboard starts hiding, so need close apps when typing

I can have Youtube and N7player playing at the same time without issue, so long as I keep the Youtube app as the top active app. Leaving it pauzes it. The Youtube app is apparently not capable of playing in the background. (Or I just haven't enabled that. I never use Youtube. Or Spotify. Or Deezer. Or any other streaming service.)

Drag the notification bar down with two fingers. Turn Multwindow on (if it's already on, leave it on.). Close the notification bar.
Hold the Back key (right softkey) or swipe from the right edge. This'll open the sidebar. From there, drag the icons onto the screen.
You can open up to 4 windows simultaneously.

Swiftkey has never supported MultiWindow. They mention it in their FAQ.
is there a way to keep music app open?
Closest is swipe down and click the music icon or add a widget
But after few minutes i have to do again because app closes
Bump.
I'm also wondering this.
Yeah is a repeat Task only possible is find a music player watch face
Sent from my SM-G955F using XDA-Developers Legacy app
i am alive can help.
the screen timeout is what kills the music app, kill the timeout and the app stays active.

you can also combine watchmaker and tasker to create a custom watchface with built in media controls.

How can I use Tasker to make a watchface with music controls?
watchmaker lets you make your own watchfaces with buttons that can trigger tasker tasks.
in tasker you can create tasks that simulate media buttons.
and then you can send the %MTRACK variable from tasker to watchmaker if you want to be able to show the currently playing track.
What do I put in the right hand side of the variable?
Maybe I should start another thread asking my Tasker questions since I'm Clueless when it comes to Tasker.
Hi all . . . I'm reviving this to see if anyone has any other ideas. I don't want to keep my watch face lit up non-stop to control audio because that'd drain battery like crazy, so the "I am alive" trick is out. I don't really want to go for a media controller watchface, as the ones I like are already pretty information-dense, and I don't want to lose the features I like in favor of audio controls.
This is probably the feature I miss most since switching from my Pebble. It seems bonkers to me that there's no way to do this. Maybe with a 3rd party audio controls app? To be clear, I want to control audio playing from my phone, not from my watch . . .
You can link music app to double press on home button.
It is not ideal but if you are not using double press for something else maybe it can help you.
..... or made a Music Shortcut on a face
Boy, this is also annoying me. You have to scroll back or take an extra step which is frustrating as hell when you want to just change tracks. Will see if there's a workaround and get back.
