Unable to return my Asus TF101 tablet to the stock ROM
Hi
I bought an Asus Tf101 that’s been rooted to run Katkiss.
I’m unable to use Netflix or All4 etc on it as they won’t run on a rooted device.
I’ve rooted an old phone before so have a rough idea how to flash the stock ROM but so far everthing I’ve tried has failed!
The Laptop won’t recognise the device throught the charging cable or Usb so I can’t use adb or Odin to flash it.
The tablet won’t mount SD storage through MicroSD or Usb or Usb cable so I can’t flash it though Clockwork recovery either!
I've just tried root cloak to enable me to use the All4 app but that didn't work and I player media app just closes on me.
I’ve ran out of ideas so any suggestions would greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Gaz

I have the same problem, my TF101 is bricked. I try to enter APX mode but my laptop won't recognize it, I can't find the device in device manager and that why I can't install the universal naked drivers and use easy flasher . please help how do I get my laptop the detect my TF101

[Q] USB doesn't work all of a sudden! can't connect to pc HELP

last nite I did a upgrade, I updated the firmware to the latest version, then I found out I have lost root, even though I had rootkeeper.
After doing some research, I have decided to use adb to push the su file and it worked
however for some reason I can no longer connect my tf300 to my pc (windows 7). I have tried rebooting my device, I have also tried rebooting my pc, nothing worked!
I then went to the asus download site and installed the pc suite, and still couldn't connect my device to my pc using usb cable!
please help
Uninstall the drivers from your comp then plug the tablet back in to let it install..see if that does it
already tried that out, didn't work..
Go into your settings and click usb debugging off that might help i had the same problem today

Why do you want to use adb and connect to your PC.
Use Terminal Emulator apk in Google play :good:
It's an app which is good and really functional in case of problem
and try this: use Asus Unlock tool again, reboot and try to connect to your PC.

No USB access but need to root

I have a tf700 with a strange problem. When I plug it into the computer, it reports there is an error in the USB descriptor and doesn't install the drivers. I know the drivers are installed OK because I have a 2nd tf700 that installs fine. I also tried linux with no luck - lsusb reports nothing when I plug it in, but it does find the other tablet fine.
The error occurs in MTP, PTP, debugging option on or off, and fastboot. It charges normally through the port.
I disassembled the nonworking unit and swapped the port/cable assembly but the problem stayed with the tablet. I also reflashed stock from SD using the stock recovery with no effect.
My goal is to get root access and install TWRP. Does anyone have any suggestions? Is there a way to connect to adb wirelessly without root access or is there an older version of stock I can flash and self-root without a PC?
So it looks like I'm out of luck then?

If you root with motochopper you can use Terminal Emulator app on the tablet to install TWRP. You can also try installing the Universal Naked Drivers for ADB and fastboot to connect with your computer.
Well I am aware of all these methods but problem is in My tablet's USB/Charging slot, may there is some pin damaged that is why USB in not detecting,,,,Even i have every thing in my PC like Universal naked Drivers,,,Android SDK,,Motochopper Etc, Not only This couple of Months ago I have "unbricked" my Asus TF300tg using Fastboot Commands and Flashed New Blob,,,,, Everything was working well now i have decided to Root it but TWRP was replaced by the Stock Recovery....That is why is asked whether there is any way to root it through any App or WIFI...

[Q] [q] apx not working please help

hi. i am new to the forums and i need a bit of help. my parents bought me an asus transformerpad TF101. the tablet had a dead battery wen i bout it but somehow recovered itself after a bit of use while pluggged in  . but i origionaly didnt have a usb lead to connect the tf101 to my pc so used baidu root to self root the tablet and install twrp. this worked and i installed katkiss room. it worked perfectly until i found that 4od doesnt function as katkiss is a kitkat rom and it was rooted. so i flashed back to stock rom by using twrp, the tablet booted normally insto stock but the apps on stock keep randomly restarting and crashing, so i bought a usb lead and it worked for a while but then i thought of flashing ubuntu with the computer(tubuntu installer). i installed all the apx drivers and i tried to install ubuntu tubuntu but the installation stopped when it was writing the linux kernel to the device. i reflashed stock rom with easy flasher but the android stilll had the same problem so ii tried to flash again but it was noew detectd as a malfunctioned usb device. it will detect normally when the device is powered on and will run asus sync but when i go into apx it is just detecting as a malfunctioned usb device. can anybody help ?????????
