Wear Messenger shows not missed notifications - General Questions and Answers

Hello!
I have installed Wear Messenger for my Smartwatch 3. If I'm out of range and the Bluetooth connection is broken and I get an SMS in the meantime, and then come back and the connection is automatically rebuilt, then the SMS is not displayed on my watch. With the default application that works without problems. Is this a bug or do I need to adjust something?

[Q] Google Messenger Notification Bug

Wondering if anyone can reproduce this to confirm it is a global bug and not something odd with my install. I haven't been able to find any other related reports yet, but Google doesn't even have a dedicated product support forum created for Messenger yet, so who knows.
If I disable notifications for a particular contact and I am in the main Messenger window, or not in the app at all, it works as designed and there is no notification. However, if I have the chat thread for the silenced contact open on my screen and receive a new message from that contact, it plays the default notification sound. Through the phone speaker no less, even if I have headphones plugged in.
This still occurs even with Priority Interruptions enabled, and set to calls only. Additionally, Messenger is not set as a Priority app.
If I disable notifications for Messenger globally via the app Settings, it is finally silent.
Stock OTA Lollipop
Google Messenger installed from the Play store.
*Light Flow Free (not enabled for SMS or the test contact, so shouldn't factor in)
You can test this by SMSing yourself.

Weird SMS issue when connected to car via bluetooth

I have this issue that is driving me crazy. When I'm in the car (Vauxhall Astra with Intellilink 900 infotainment system) and connected to it by bluetooth, it goes crazy when a text message arrives. It starts to show notifications for historic text messages. It asks me if I want to listen or dismiss the message. If I choose listen, nothing happens except dismissing that message and moving onto another one. I have to dismiss about 30-40 text messages every time! Once I've dismissed all of the messages the system appears normal except it will not report new SMS text messages. This did not happen with my Galaxy S7 Edge.
Anyone else experienced anything similar?
I have similar issues with my Ford Focus where it will constantly alert me to new (old) messages. The November Pixel security update was supposed to have addressed that issue, but I'm still experiencing it. (Further reading here: https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!msg/phone-by-google/_abjcuavywo/1VsWm1hqAgAJ)
On my phone, I ended up going to Bluetooth Settings, selecting my phone, and turning off the "messages" profile.

I've got the same issue with my Ford EcoSport. I thought it was the crappy Ford Sync, now i know better.
Looks like it's a Pixel issue then. I've tried using different SMS apps on the phone but it makes no difference.
Same issue here with a 2016 Chevy Silverado. I went into the settings in the radio and disabled message notifications to prevent this from happening until the root cause can be resolved.

Gear S3 Wahtsapp notifications and calls

hi, I have the non LTE Gear S3 Frontier. Message Notifications from Whatsapp and my phone text are not showing on my watch. same for email notifications... Phone calls are relayed to my watch but not whatsapp calls. Remote connections and the app notifications are checked in Samsung gear app... in Summary notifications are very unstable.... any ideas pls?
I get a problem with notifications too.
Sometimes they arrive , sometimes they arrive some minutes later, sometimes they never turn up whatever the source of the notification.
This is via a BT connection.
Tried resetting and altering the settings to no avail.
I was hoping to use just the vibration notifications on the watch and not sound on the phone as a lot less intrusive in meetings etc. but looks like it is not reliable enough for that.
yes, exactly same problem here! its a problem as not reliable at all... very dissapointed! I am using S7 edge fyi... hoping that there is a fix
Not sure if this will help for you, but one thing I noticed was a setting on the Gear app on the phone, under notifications, "Show while using phone"
Mine was off, which meant that if my phone screen was on, no notifications came through to the watch. I turned it on, and now they all come, all the time.
Is it possible to reply via a voice message on Whatsapp? Not the Svoice.. But a voice message..

Unable to Receive Text Notifications On Huawei Watch

I'm having a really weird problem right now. My Huawei Watch 1 was working perfectly before I upgraded my phone to the Galaxy Note 8 from the S8+ I reset the watch and notifications for text messages stopped working and Android messages won't load to the watch. At first I was getting text messages, but now it's not showing them at all. I checked the version after a factory data reset and I have the newest software installed. The other problem is that Android Messages won't install on the watch because the current version of it isn't compatible with the watch. I'm getting notifications for something else and full notification access is being given to Android Wear and Huawei Services. I haven't been able to send messages via other apps like Wear Messenger which works temporarily but then fails.
Has anyone had this issue and is there a solution? I haven't been able to find an answer anywhere for this.
Having the same issue. Installed "Feel The Wear" app and am now getting a notification, but the message itself doesn't appear on my phone.

MIUI 12 Notifications problem

I own a xiaomi 9 lite. With MIUI 11 android 10 everything went well. I received all the notifications messages viber whatsapp etc. After receiving MIUI 12 I cannot receive messages from Google messages program, viber, facebook, whatsapp, messenger. Really frustrated. I can receive from other programs though. I have done everything no battery optimization from MIUI I have given all the rights. I have resetet my watch. Uninstall and install galaxy programs. Nothing. Can I do something else or need to wait for a fix from xiaomi.?
Hi,
got the same phone and the same watch. I didn't check all apps, but I didn't notice any difference on the ones I use most (Whatsapp, BeerWithMe, etc.). I'm on latest Xaiomi.eu ROM, which one are you using?
Hi,
I have the latest global miui 12.0.2.0 CFCMIXM. I managed to install a third party sms program with which I can receive sms messages and see them on the s3. I cannot receive on the s3 from viber, whatsapp, messanger, facebook. Before the update I received all of the shoves. Thanks for helping me
did anything ever come of this? I have Miui Global 12.0.2 (QJGEUXM) and a Pebble watch. notifications were working for about a day, and now nothing. When I installed a 3rd party pebble notification app, it tells me that the Notification Service isn't running, but in permissions it is all allowed, and there are no power saving rules in place.

I factory reseted the phone and the galaxy s3 frontier. But in general I think that I didn't give the right permissions to viber for instance. I chose for example not to receive a full message on my watch just the sender name and because of that the notification could not be sent to the watch. Now everything works like a charm.
I hope that you will find a solution
i use a Samsung Gear S3 Frontier with 4.0.0.7 Tizen paired with a Poco F1 Global QEJMIXM with Miui 12.0.2 stock rom (i'm a Mi Pilot member so i had 12.0.3 and 12.0.1 too) with full working notification for all app i selected. Make sure you have installed Galaxy Wearable app with Gear Plugin, setup Notification Access to Plugin in order to have notification, set all needed permission to plugin, lock Galaxy wear app in background, remove battery limitation to both wear app and plugins, set autostart to both app, open wearable app and under notification click See All and select needed notification. i have phone call and sms, facebook messenger, whatsapp, telegram, calendar, clock, reminder, gmail, outlook without problems...
