Can any big wiz here make a tutorial to root xperia J jellybean without unlocking bootloader and flashing, like the one we had earlier for ICS version ( single executable file ) that would grant root access ?

This is for locked bootloader. Actually hasn't other way.
Anyone tested this ? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2186368
It teoreticaly should works also on xperia miro/tipo/j
I'm considering unlocking my bootloader as it can be unlocked. I know that you loose your drm keys if you don't back up the ta (already done this as rooted). Also does it affect the use of the camera like on z3 z2 ect and the Walkman app are their more pro's than con's to doing it. I can find plenty of info about z devices and what is affected by not for the m2.

I have a non rooted Xperia xz with locked bootloader
I M wondering if I could edit the mixer_paths.xml file in the system partition without root
I have searched around the net and found that I could push and pull the file via adb
But how do I do it?
Any suggestions?

You can only back them up if you have root access, so currently there is no way to do that

To root the XZ, you have to unlock your bootloader. this is making you loose the DRM keys.
But if you flash AndroPlus Kernel, you will recover the lost functions, and gain root access in the same time .
Hello,
Since i am new to rooting on a Sony device , i tried it downgrade to lollipop in order to backup the keys all is fine.
I am now back to stock, since i cannot understand some things.
I want only a stock root rom, but i want to keep the drm in place or simulate it in some way i dont wanna lose some funcionality of the phone is that possible?
Since i read things about drm fix etc.
Can someone explain what is possible with Sony and rooting with emulate or replace drm after root.
btw sorry for my bad english.
Just flash patched stock kernel with drm fix and you are good to go. btw check for it in Xperia Z5 Premium forum, not here.
Just asking if there is a way to root my Xperia XA without unlocking the bootloader or how to backup my DRM keys without root on android nougat.
