Asia/Europe version - Verizon HTC One (M8)

Hey,
I have the verizon m8 unlocked to work on any gsm network. I'll be travelling to India next week and want to make sure the phone will work fine with Indian networks without a problem?
Also, Is there any way i can get the ROM that comes with the factory version of the phone (without the amazon and verizon apps)? In short, I want a stock rom without any trace of verizon.
I'm new to the HTC world and i've read a lot about RUU but haven't got a clear information on what it is.
I'm on 5.0.1, unlocked, s-off, rooted.
Thanks.

[Q] Factory unlocked vs manually unlocked.

Well there seems something unclear to me. After unlocking HTC One S does this affect on the features the phone might provide in the future? Is a manually unlocked phone same as factory unlocked phone? This seems unclear to me as I am thinking of owning one but cant use T-Mobile in my country. (Albania) So owning an unlocked version of T-Mobile and using it with VODAFONE AL will it have any problem with apps or updates of the phone? Would Internet work? If there is any feature not supported for manually unlocked android phones could anyone mention them?
PS: Sorry for my english

The one thing you would run into with the manually unlocked vs the factory unlocked is that the tmobile version has a pentaband radio vs the quadband that the factory one has. However the factory unlocked version will get updates faster (I'm still waiting for Jellybean but I have a more worldwide capable phone. Software wise with ROMs you can get whatever you need. Does that answer your question?

So there is no major difference between the two ones? And has HTC Released Factory unlocked HTC ONE S phones?

HTC One X+ International version or not

Hi, sorry if I'm not posting in the correct forum, but I have a question. I have an unlocked HTC One X+ phone. So, if it's unlocked, does it make it international? I want to root it and everything, but I don't know how to go on. It's unlocked so I'm afraid to lock it by using the wrong programs. (I unlocked the bootloader and already installed international version TWRP (though I don't know if I should have)). I came now to unlocking the phone and don't know if I have to use international version or not (probably the international since I already got TWRP international) but I'm afraid of bricking the phone, breaking it in some way or locking it to AT&T (I do travel overseas and need to be able to use it there).
Thanks!
[EDIT] I bought the phone on eBay!
Rooted
Well, I went into recovery mode (just for fun) and when I went to reboot it asked me if I wanted to root the phone (since I wasn't rooted yet) and I went ahead and gave it the go ahead... so... now my phone is rooted... hopefully it didn't lock it to AT&T and I'll still be able to use it overseas, but it's rooted and works. Now I have the fun choice of flashing a ROM on it

Update ROM on Tmobile phone currently loaded with AT&T ROM

I bought a used advertised as a "FACTORY UNLOCKED" HTC ONE M8 with AT&T's 4.4.2 installed. I am unable to update via the AT&T software update menu. It always fails with no software updates available. A little research revealed that this phone was originally a Tmobile phone (thru IMEI). I've been advised by HTC support that to update the ROM that I should update it with Tmobile's 4.28.502.2 ROM and then UNLOCK it for my AT&T SIM card. And that any attempts to update it with another AT&T ROM would render the phone inoperatable. Which is why I'm confused. The phone already has an AT&T ROM. Can someone direct me in the proper method to update the ROM for my phone?
I recently discovered thru the aid of HTC support. That the phone was at one time rooted because the CID was altered to 11111111 to UNLOCK it from its branded carrier. I was able to verify that it is no longer rooted via Root Checker Basic. I've also been told (by the seller) that since the CID was overlaid that I can flash any carrier's ROM onto this phone. Any truth to this? HTC support will not confirm nor deny this claim.
Thanks

Copying image from one phone to another?

Hi,
My wife and I have XT1032 Moto Gs on the UK Tesco network. Mine has been rooted and is running CM13, hers is stock. We are both coming to the end of the contract in a couple of weeks and I want to move both phones into SIM-only contracts on a different network.
I'm assuming that both phones will still be locked to Tesco and I will need to unlock them to use them on a new network, and that just because I've unlocked the bootloader, rooted and flashed CM13 on mine that won't mean mine isn't still locked to Tesco.
I'm assuming I will need to revert mine back to stock before I try to get it unlocked? If so, rather than use a generic stock rom, can I backup my wife's and restore it to mine? What is the easiest path for me to take, given that I will be reflashing CM13 on mine as soon as I'm on the new network?
Many thanks!
I'm assuming your contract was for a year but you shouldn't have any problem getting the unlock code from Tesco. And I don't see any reason why you would have to unroot/go back to stock.
Your best bet would be to contact your carrier and find out for sure though.

Help with SM-G920W8 (CDN)

I rec'd a SM-G920W8 model from my cousin. Its on Fido but I have a Rogers SIM card. I would like to simply unlock the phone and use it on Rogers instead and if possible, update the phone to a newer ROM/Android version but to have it still on Rogers after the fact. The phone has following details:
Android Version: 5.1.1 (stock)
Baseband: G920W8VLU3BOJ7
Im sure there are a guides for this on here, I did find one for a bootloader unlock from Mr. X on here, but I wasnt sure which bootloader file to download and thought I would ask if someone could please point me to the right direction as I simply dont want to brick a phone.
Any insight into this would be greatly appreciated by this newbie!
Thanks!
Are you sure it needs to be unlocked? Telus and Koodo phones as well as Bell and Virgin work on either network without unlocking.

You are right!
I just did what you suggested and its working now. I didnt think this was possible as the last Fido phone I had I had to unlock it.
Thanks for the suggestion! Much appreciated. I guess if I wanted to now just install a new ROM or update the Android platform on it, I can do that.
Yes. I'm running stock nougat on mine. It still receives updates ota without issue despite being a telus phone on koodo. I can root it and install a custom Rom anytime but it works fine and I don't want to wipe it right now. Too much important data. Online dating and texting several different girls I need to keep all my texts for future reference lol.
