remove simlock with root?? - Note Edge Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hi, i have a sprint note edge probably it can be rooted, but its possible to remove the simlock for international use??

I have seen a sim unlock option with galaxy tools app. Dont know if it works just know its there. I was going to ask the same question about domestic unlocking.
So anyone got answers i would like to hear. I read note edge was gsm/cdma capable like the nexus. Please someone who knows chime in. Looking to get domestic unlock because i am sure it isnt easily done through sprint.
Secondly i tried to root it whith the odin/chainfire and it didnt work. Git the error message after failed flash and had to re do the stock firmware with odin. Anyone got a link to the chainfire maybe i downloaded the one for kitkat?

Okay, New Problem, Anyone knows how to unlock a phone?

Not like unlock as in Password unlock, I mean as,
I need to change my phone provider from Verizon to AT&T.
My phone is a Android Milestone (1) and it recently recovered from a bootloop.
More on the information of the bootloop, here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=31092838#post31092838
I'm wondering if anyone can help me? I'm not sure if that's in anyone's expertise but i'm asking anyway. ^-^
You should ask in the device forum. If not luck there, try a paid service, but do heavy research or go local to be sure it works

[Q] How to "fix" Retail Phones Not Just in Retail Mode!

Hello,
A friend gave me a retail Samsung Galaxy A5 from a shop and i wanted to know if there is any possible way to make it a regular phone.
Everything's working actually except from the fact that it doesnt recognise any Sim Card and the Call app "that Green Phone image" that any android has it's missing.
So ita can be used as a "tablet" but not as a phone.
I tried routing the phone but it didnt worked.
Any ideas?
Will flashing a custom ROM solve the issue?
If so can you please give me the steps in doing so.....
Thank you.
I also got the same phone with missing dialer and network option am thinking of flashing it with new firmware. But if u got any suggestion jux let me know. As i am eager to see this phone work.
Some told me it can be fix.

Remove simlock

Hi xda, it's been a while since I've been here and looking around has me scratching my head a little.
Anyway I have just purchased a galaxy s6 from eBay foolishly thinking it would be easy to remove the simlock but after a little reading I'm beginning to think I may have made a mistake. I'm not sure what network the phone is locked to as I have not yet received it and the listing states in the title O2 but the description says Vodafone, all I know is the model begins G920F. I thought maybe rooting and flashing a stock firmware would remove the simlock but after reading it looks like this is not the case. I then read also about "tripping knox" which sounds like something I don't want to be doing.
Root is probably something I will be looking to do in the future but not essential right now but I would be very grateful if somebody could tell me the best way to go about putting my virgin sim in this phone.
Please help
Thanks Peter.
I thought the 920F is the facotry unlocked international version so any sim would work.
When are you receiving this? Where are you trying to make this work.

Most European providers don't simlock, so you will most likely just have a provider rom, they are easy to replace with a generic stock rom
He is sending the phone out first class tomorrow so I'll report back after I have received it. I'll be using it in the UK, hopefully I'll get lucky and just be able to use it as soon as I get it. Thanks for the replies people.
Try buying an unlock code from one of the many reputable online unlockers.

Flash Samsung J700T ROM on J700P phone? Possible?

Hello,
Is it possible flash J700T(Tmobile) firmware onto a J700P(Spring-Boost Mobile) phone? Would it need to be rooted to do this? Kind of new here, but if anyone has any terms or search suggestions, I'd gladly look through the large knowledge base here. Just wondering if anyone thinks its remotely possible.
Broke my Tmobile phone, have access to a Boost mobile model, but want the wifi-calling feature on the Tmobile (who is my carrier).
Thanks everyone

I didn'the understand any thing except for the first two questions
So yes it will work but you need to root your device and to install Twrp
Im rooted and have twrp. Have flashed different verions of J700P firmware on the phone. Hadn't tried J700T as of yet. From what i can tell phones have same processors, etc. I will give it a try. Thanks
