Hi,
Just wondering if there is someone confident and experienced in modding and flashing of roms and so on in Manchester UK.
Last Thursday my G3 just died by it's own. I never messed around with the software on it, never had custom roms or anything on it... I was using it as usual, left it on the table and the next time I picked it up it was dead. it hat around 30-35% of battery when i left it on the table and after like 15 mins it was dead.
tried charging it
tried booting into download mode (not working)
my laptop recognized it as qhsusb_bulk at first, than I installed some drivers and now it shows up as qualcomm 9008
I've tried a couple of things but either i'm doing something wrong or maybe i don''t have the right files... in any case i didn't manage to fix it.
so if there is someone near Manchester UK please contact me, i'm willing to pay for your " services "
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. This really isn't the right place to post your request. You might try your device's specific forum here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3 They are the experts on your device.

Hello XDA,
I could not find a similar problem so I created a new thread.
Last night I was finally able to update my Galaxy Note GT-N7000 VIA Kies from 2.3.6 to 4.0.0 on my Macbook Pro. Exciting!
Then it happened, Kies suggested that I update the firmware on my device. I did, the download froze, Kies froze, the joy was gone.
I tried countless times to reconnect my device and start over but the Note would not connect VIA Kies. It just said connecting over and over. After spending much time I gave up and went to bed having put my phone on charge.
3 hours after I woke up my phone was fully charged. (STILL) Then it was not, now my phone is constantly going from charge (when its not even plugged in) to not charged. Dead, then fully powered. It continues to spam me the whole time with my batteries current state.
Its an international model in the US so theres no support.
How can I fix it? Hard Reset? Throw to the wall? Paperweight? Or XDA Magic?
If you ask this in the device specific forum, you will get a more accurate and helpful answer...

How can I do that?
Most importantly, I am posting somewhere public in regards to questions that other people have posted problems with devices and received positive or informative feedback.
Is this not the proper place? Sorry I am new.
I never said this isn't the proper place...you will receive help here, but most of them will be generic in nature...
If you ask the same question, in the q&a section of galaxy note subforum, you will receive a more positive response (provided you did your searching beforehand, else most of them will just troll you)...
I do not know the exact details with regards to galaxy note...
But you can try flashing a new stock rom, or a custom rom...
(This ^ is generic help)

Here is the galaxy note q&a subforum...
Though I still insist you search around in the q&a as well as the general section, before making a new thread...

Was trying to root my phone following thishttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2788632 guide, got through the bootloader okay, then when I went to restart my phone to start 2. Installing a Custom Recovery, now it won't turn on. Did I **** it up? It won't turn on at all, nothing happens when I press the power button, pc won't recognize it, no response from wall outlet. Worst of all, I bought it from someone on craigslist, got a t-mobile chip, was just messing around with it, now this. Do I have any options at all? I'm assuming there will be no warrenty from Oneplus one, any way to send it in for repairs at a cost?
Welcome to the forums! I remember being one of the people guiding you here on the OnePlus forums. You'll get better help and support if you ask questions relating to troubleshooting in the "Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting" sub-forum next time. @Naddict, can you please move this question so the OP can get better help?
EDIT: I see your problem has been sorted out. Do you mind sharing what you did so that other members here can use your solution for future problems?
First of all, i'm following the site couple months now,but just registered today so im glad to become part of the community
ok,soo i have this problem that i dont have a power button( defective so i opened the device and cut it off) and i made the mistake to remove my battery but now even if i plug the charger to do the restart trick (quickly remove and replace battery on phone) as i did couple times before to power on, now nothing happens!
Im not sure if it is the battery that died, the usb port, the screen , or if it has something to do with the button i removed
PS: I ve done this couple times before but after some tries it would recognize the battery and show the icon for "charging mode" , but this time after many tries nothing happens :'(
PLS HELP!!<3

Hi, first sorry for my bad english. As you can read from the title my Alcatel One Touch Star is hard bricked. That happened when i was uploading mp3s from the PC to the phone and I just took the usb out from the pc.Then the phone started reacts very strange so i decided to restart it but it turned off by different way and didn't turn on again. I'm not coming straight up there. I have tried many things from the google and other threads here but my phone don't show any sign of life. I tried all methods of clicking buttons for going into recovery/download mode( i don't know how it is called exactly ) but nothing works. I tried pluging it into PC but it doesn't show up. That is why i think is hard bricked. I have given the phone to a man who fix phones and he told me that the phone is dead .I have heard that this is the best android forum so that is why i'm looking for help here. Sorry if the thread is in the wrong section.

Hello and thank you for using XDA Assist.
I'm sorry to hear about your trouble. We cannot provide technical support nor can other members reply to your posts here on XDA Assist and there is no XDA area specifically for the Alcatel OT-6010 Star at this time but you may want to ask your question with all relevant details in the friendly general Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting forum at http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help. That's a good place to start where members familiar with your device might be able to advise you.
Good luck!
I posted this on the Sprint S6 forum, but thought it may be able to get more attention here. My father smashed his phone. I was wondering if anyone new of a company that can retrieve pictures with a Riff Box or similar without the phone booting.
Thanks.
Hi,
It seems that you already found the best place on XDA to post your question.
Please continue your journey there
Good luck!
