is this a good phone to get got to be better then my htc 7 can i root it if so how easy
Hi!
You may not have luck asking about that here, as this site is mostly dedicated to Android and Windows mobile. There are no blackberry sections here.
You could try asking here, but may be told the same thing.

I would find a blackberry forum myself honestly.
Good luck! :good:

I know this is stupid...and i may not get any replies over here...
but still giving it a try...
My budget is around 20k (300$), and i needed a phone which i can give it a future update as well. Since Android L is gonna come too, i would really want it in my phone. I'm currently using Huawei Y 200, and it pretty much sucks...! (NO CUSTOM ROMS MADE FOR IT )
so guys please help me out here!!!!!!!!
Hi there,
I'd recommend asking that question in the off-topic section of XDA: http://forum.xda-developers.com/general/off-topic
Since it doesn't really regard any form of development or needing a phone to be fixed, it is probably best placed there.
You will find lots of keen XDA users who I'm sure will input and tell you what they think.
Good luck!
P.S: I'd go for the Moto G

Swappa.com does not have this device listed, or any Sony VAIO Series P netbooks. The specific model I want is Sony VAIO VPC-P118KX--this has 3G, GPS, camera, Windows 7, and a nice trackstick keyboard. There are currently no listings for it on Amazon.com or eBay.com. One issue is this: I think that this model came with Verizon locked in; I'd like it unlocked so I can use T-Mobile. Thanks in advance for any help.
Hi,
XDA is a development site about smartphones... Not pc's. But you could try asking here if you wish,
[Ask Any Question][Newbie Friendly]
I'd try Google though for places to buy.
Good luck!
RE: Sony VAIO VPC-P118KX
This model is a very, very smart phone, which will probably need to be unlocked--hence my posting to XDA Developers. Many years ago, this forum was of great help in unlocking my T-Mobile MDA Pro (AKA HTC Universal).
Of course I've tried Google and other search engines; no dice.
Thank you. Thread closed.
Hi folks!
I did have a nose around and couldn't find anything to help me out in the forums.
I bought a high spec, low price android phone from China. Specs are fine, android isn't. Thinking this would be any easy fix, I was wrong so far.
I would like to have an international version of android including Playstore. The machine is a weiimi. Under the battery it states jielutong k6 amongst a lot of Chinese characters. MTK6572, android 4.4.
Would a ROM work at all or do I need to learn Mandarine?
Help is much appreciated!
Regards,
Bas
Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. The problem with these cheap Chinese phones is that there's virtually zero support for them, both from the manufacturer and here on XDA. You could try your luck in the general section but your chances of succeeding are very slim. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but it's just the way it is.
Here's the section I suggest you ask your question in:
Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Good luck!

I HATE CHROME! Somebody please help me port my browser from my G3 into my G4. I love the way it functions more like IE from Windows. In the mean time, I'll try dolphin again like on my nexus 10, but I want my LG browser back! I'm sick of everything functioning like an Apple product. That's what Google did wrong. FU€K Apple! So, can I get some help please? I've accomplished so much with you guys on this site. I'd hate to be stopped here over a supposedly simple app. Yes, LG failed the G4 here...
Looking down the list at the other posts in this area, I realize that I may not have laid out my headline correctly. Also, others questions seem more technical, and maybe more specific to user issue. I will understand if I don't get a response right away with such a new phone. I will say that digging deeper answers most of the other questions. If you are one of those ppl, keep digging. XDA is amazing in guidance. Just read carefully and try more than once. At the same time, I hope someone is at least having my same thought on this amazing new hardware. Also looking for root, but not my main issue as of yet.
Hi there,
You'd be best served asking for help from the experts who own your device here:
G4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Good luck
Hey folks,
As of now I'm a Nexus 5 user and it's been the best mobile phone experience I've had in years. I'm switching to a new carrier with the option of an upgrade and checking out if there's any better options out there or if I should stick with my device. I was looking into Nexus 6/6P but that's been a mixed bag, so not entirely sure. I will not consider moving to Apple, and I do like getting my updates straight from Google. I'd consider getting a device that I can easily unlock and flash a ROM (unlocked bootloader only). Any suggestions? The LG devices seem to be getting really good reviews, but I'd like to hear some real world reviews on this other than a website person using it for 2 days.
