using 5.8.20 german (decuro) now, the ROM is very Slim !!! having system partition 770MB free
google things are pre-installled and also pre-root (but i prefer re-root with toolkit )

Guys I installed MIUI 7 via fastboot today.. The device is much faster and the heat is a lot reduced.. Can't comment about the battery life though now
The camera is very quick. RAM consumption is same as before. But overall a lot snappier and has some design features too.

Unfortunately yes... But for me this MIUI 7 is so much better than the 6.6.10. The bugs that I had now are gone and the device is much more smooth

How is the battery performance of MIUI 7?
I have flashed CM12 but battery level drops significantly.
If MIUI 7 's performance is better, I may switch back to MIUI.
I miss MIUI camera too.

Never used CM12 on my Mi 4i, but the MIUI 7 on this device is working really well.
Yesterday I was amazed with the battery. With normal use (some phone calls, whatsapp, facebook, messenger and something more), when went to bed it still continue with >60% battery.

Pretty simple, everything you want is here. The instructions and download link.
http://en.miui.com/thread-149081-1-1.html
It will take about 350 secs to flash so be patient and DO NOT DISCONNECT the USB until the process is finished. Make sure the PC is stable and doesnt have issues so that the install goes smooth. You must have ADB and Fastboot drivers.

Do v6 themes and customizations still work on the v7 ROM?

yes

Can anyone tell me how the backup and wipe work?
What does "Backup" actually back up?
And what does "Wipe user data" wipe?
I don't want to lose my files.
EDIT: I've asked this again, in the help thread, because I have no hopes from this thread.

Does anyone using a miui china 5.9.10? How is the perform?

We need Barebone kind of ROMS [just 33MB!!]

We all know that our device has less RAM, it cannot handle big games and there is battery drain problem too in the ICS and JB ROMs. So it would be helpful if some developers find a way to bring those goodies to our device too
We must appreciate the work being done by Lola on X-GamerZ ROM. Don't forget to thank him.
There is already a project running on the smallest ROM i.e, Barebone.. for the Galaxy s plus device.

This is a pretty cool idea... basically this Barebones ROM can transform your device into a one application only device. For example, there would be no launcher, you could replace the launcher with a music app, which in essence would make your Galaxy SL into a simple music player. It would be useful if your Galaxy SL is not your primary device and you need a dedicated music/video player, and if you dont have any other use for your SL. Benefits of this ROM? You could have much longer battery life because of all the disabled services, boot time would be incredibly quick. This is interesting, I might take a look into it and if I get it to work I will post a Barebones ROM (no promises :silly: ) , even though I doubt many people would use it.
Edit:
Actually it doesn't have to be just one app, if you keep the Barebones launcher that comes with the ROM you can use multiple apps, just dont expect to be able to use phone call, sms, wifi or bluetooth

This would really help if someone is buying a new device and if they still wanna keep the old one
and thanks for the interest you are showing on this. May be we can expect a small ROM with basic functionalities :fingers-crossed:
May be a rom like liteKPU released earlier.
Though it was not 33mb but it was pretty sleek. Which made it super fast.
Maybe a liteLF2 can solve the purpose with some tweaks.

Yeah that's true, but as we already have developers working on JB, why go back to GB!?
Once the kernel 3 is ready for daily use, no one will look back. .
So may be a small JB ROM with kernel 3 would run in a blazing speed in our device

I have tried this CM10.1 [ROM][4.2.2] for sometime, it's really fast and everything works fine except the fact that you cannot restart without removing battery and frequent SODs.
After the ICS development stopped at Alpha 14 and JB development going on but still at Alpha 5, we don't have a stable ROM

I haven't really modified the kernel yet. Because I'm on vacation. And it takes 8 hours to compile. But in 2 days I will be back home. So I will do much more . Graphics in games are working pretty good. Even on "extreme battery saving mode". So if You want to have great battery life just follow instructions in q/a.
And I don't really know if it contains codecs. It's pure cm 11 kernel.
Just wonder what features u had add in?

Cyanogenmod is now a general os. For all hlte versions. And It seems like it does support N900T version.(When You check updater script.)
Edit:I have checked that model online. And it has 800 CPU. So it should be supported pretty much.

For now Only couple of apps. To make it look like L version etc. I could really do much more if it wouldn't take 8 hours to compile . But I have couple of cool ideas what could I add in the next version Also I'm sorry But I can't really make my rom on the first build to look like SlimRom or CRom. Guys making such advanced roms are incredibly smart and have a lot of time. Good workstation. And some of them doesn't work alone. Like me. But I can promise to make my rom as good as I can.

I don't think this is considered thread hi-jacking, but if it is, MOD please advise. I am searching for resources for my Mom's 1 day old MI4i and found these, see below. Reason why I think it's not thread hi-jacking is because, it is just re-enforcing the OP's thread + adding some more. Again if this is thread hi-jacking, please advise, I'll make a separate one. And my sincerest apologies to the OP.

Problem with SIM 2.
I am unable to change the network mode for SIM 2. There is no preferred network type setting for SIM 2. The network mode cannot be changed even from engineering mode. Is there anyone facing this issue?

As far as i know, you can only use 1 sim for data at the same time.
So if you have set sim1 for 4G (or something), then sim 2 cannot be changed.
This is also very logical, because apps would never now if to use the data from sim1 or sim2.
Try to choose the data on sim2 and then try again to set the preferred type.

Also - Speaker mode volume is very low (starts high and then reduced...)
I'm reverting back to the Alcatel version...
Since I don't know russian.. I can't post in the forum of 4PDA...

Im suffering with bad ROMs but I dont have the original TCL/Alcatel ROM. Can you please share your backup? It would be a lot of help. Currently I cannot even boot into my ROM so I need something flashable via SPFlashtools.
Thank you in advance

BTW - you should know that the BT bug exists on all MIUI MTK devices (including Redmi Note 3G...) - the bug is open in Miui forum.

Thank you, installed easy. However I still get frozen screen immediately or almost immediately after startup. Recovery seems to work fine, no freezing, but everything is in chinese
Im guessing its still some problem with the ROM or the EMMC...
baking the motherboard in the oven fixed my constant crashes/freezing. I put details in the S960 Problem solving thread.

I'm using Adil's "Happy New year" OnePlus 6 10.3 rom and it's bug free. I don't know why you think Android 10 has problems. I'm not having any.

in the installation guide says you have to do a factory reset, does that include internal storage?

It's already good enough for how I use the phone.
note: I also have a OnePlus 6T and I can tell you I can switch between devices and never tell the difference.
The Gcam for the actual 6T is a little better
But the SDCARD support (256gb) in the POCO keeps me switching back and forth

I'm a gaming freak who does hours of gaming. I've tried almost every custom rom out there. After trying them all I've come to this conclusion.
1) Ion OS = stable gaming, excellent battery life.
2- Amogs OxygenOS (the build in this post) - pubg is very smooth but you will struggle hard to get that chicken dinner because there is something wrong with this rom that ruins the sensitivity in PUBG. Swipes and Joystick feel hard to drag.
HNY OxygenOS 10.3 - Its the winner. I've not encountered any battery issue or bugs. There's an issue of volume being too low that can be fixed with a patch.
Everyone who wants an excellent blend of performance and battery go for HNY OxygenOS 10.3.
Hi , anyone know how to disable this temperature warning ? Which is annoyed me when playing game
Using the rom that u provided .
