Simple question that seems to confuse people when asked so I'll try to be as clear as possible. I power on into bootloop LG logo. I can boot into only download mode. When I try to get to recovery it just starts the phone into bootloop after I hit power for factory reset. I need to flash partitions again because I believe I can fix the phone. Using lgflashtool errors while trying to flash stock rom. So I'm stuck. Anyone know how to make the phone go to fastboot?...Please!!!!?
Edit: Broke phone in half! Forget it!!!

SO i think I totally bricked my phone. Any input would be great. MMy phone boots up and is stuck on lg screen. I tried flash CWM and stock recovery but nothing. Any ideas or should i just send back and get a new one
I really mucked this one up
It's not a brick if it turns on! But I'm fairly new to this phone and I'm not familiar with it at all Normally I would suggest to fastboot flash the new OFFICIAL CWM recovery image, but I don't even know where to begin with fastboot on this phone

It would probably be a little helpful (if you want help) if you let everyone know what you were doing when you "bricked" your phone. That way people know where to start in assisting you.

I had a infinite loop problem on mine. I just restored to stock.
Turn phone off (pull battery if needed)
Turn on while holding volume down + power button

What happens when you try to boot into recovery mode?
OK here is what I did to brick my device.
I wanted to do a factory reset and I used clockwork recovery to do so.
Wat I didn't know what that Clockwork recovery was going to format my system.
I can only get into fast boot via vol up+vol+down+power
Cannot get back to stock recovery or CWM. Tried flashing via fastboot method
My phone just goes to LG screen no loading bar
Currently the only function is fastboot
Did you try formatting via Vol-Down + Power?

Capacitive touch also are not lit appear to be not working
1) Fastboot flash the official CWM recovery image
2) download http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1048274
3) put the NANDROID in the correct folder on your sdcard: /sdcard/_ExternalSD/clockworkmod/backup/
4) restore via recovery
Thanks for everyones input, Called t-mobile they are shipping a new one out asap. I'm just going to have to suck it up till tuesday.
I love trial and error they only thing i lost is a little time

I flashed official CWM recovery image numerous times via fastboot and phone just gets stuck at lg screen. Once again vol up+power and vol down+pwer does nothing
Is there another fastboot method or adb method to restore CWM?
did the same thing it bricked my phone does nothing else than start up then freezes. f-ING pissed
The best thing with Nvidia phones and tablets is that its barely impossible to brick your phone. If you think you bricked it - you just need NV flash and either the stock rom or stock recovery and you are back to normal
I have done that with my old G-tablet - it was a piece of cake to fix it.
is there an nv flash for mac?
thought i did the same thing!
if you can get it into format hit the home button. hopefully vol+down+power will get you there. pull your battery and you may just get lucky if done enough times? i would keep trying. good luck
I have been searching for hours..and still couldn't find an asnwer..
at first when my phone was still alright I did a factory reset and after that
it stuck on a boot screen with android in the middle...for a long time
then I use vol down + power method to reset it and clean everything (like system, cache and boot) all of them...
now I stuck on the green htc boot screen
I tried to install rom and kernel but still won't work I wonder whats the problem now
any idea???
thanks

You haven't searched that bad, if not you would have come across this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1396229
Anyway, are you rooted? if you are rooted and did a factory reset then you don't have a Rom in your phone and that is why you are stuck on the splash screen. You even wiped everything, so probably erased usb debugging drivers from the device.
Well, you have these choices: 1) If you still can access your custom recovery (CWM or 4EXT) then you need to put a rom in your sdcard and flash it. You will have your phone back. You can even restore a nand backup and have your system as it was at that time.
2) If you are S-OFF, but can not access a custom recovery, then flash it again and follow option 1)
3) Use a PD98IMG.zip file to flash a RUU in hboot and you will get back. In the link I provided above, you have several links to those files.
In all cases, you will need an sdcard reader or someway to get the files to your sdcard.
Hope it helps....
thanks!!!!
problem solved
I'm having the same problem stuck on the android boot screen I can access recovery and tried to flash a few different roms but with the same results.

Did you read the link that glevitan posted a couple posts above yours? Did you try what it says? Which option? What happened?
I scoured the forums, but have not been able to find out what I can do to solve my problem. So here it is.
I rooted my phone (to play around with some settings, what have you) and flashed TWRP recovery onto it. I got an error msg when booting up, so I decided to push an original recovery back onto the phone, because it wouldn't go to TWRP. I followed a guide (which I can't find now) to push back a stock version of recovery and it failed. My phone would boot normally just fine, but when I tried to go to recovery it would loop.
The OTA update came today, and dumbass me pressed continue (not thinking) and now I am stuck in a boot loop, and cannot get out of it.
Cannot get into recovery.
Cannot get into download mode.
Got any ideas?
Thanks
Same Problem
I have pretty much the same problem. Please help!
well without recovery/download mode working or the phone being in fastboot mode there really isn't much that can be done, you can always try to claim on warranty
boot loop
So, let me get this straight. If it failed when you tried to install the stock recovery, then you still have the TWRP recovery right?
I ran into a boot loop problem earlier when I tried upgrading TWRP. I just couldn't access my recovery so here is what I tried:
Code:
Turn your phone off.
Press volume down and power button until the LG logo comes on screen
Let go of both buttons
Hold the volume down and power buttons again until you see the "hard reset screen"
Press power once and then power again to confirm. The screen says it will reset your device but it will not as long as you have a custom recovery installed.
Your custom recovery should appear on screen.
Try the steps above and see if you can get into a recovery. Once you do maybe try resetting. Hope that helps.
Hi. I dropped by OPO recently and had to replace the screen + digitizer myself. After doing it, i decided to wipe my phone and re-install Android again. I did a factory reset, flashed a custom rom, gapps and a kernel and i am not able to boot into the OS. When I reboot the device or power it on, I always end up in the Fastboot mode. I am able to get into recovery, but no matter what I flash, whenever I hit reboot into system after flashing, the phone goes back to Fastboot mode.
When in Fastboot mode, I'm able to flash stock images of 44S , but any reboot doesn't take me to Android, it keeps pushing me back to Fashboot. Flashed multiple TWRP versions, tried restoring to 44S/38R through fastboot, but none of them work. Any restart takes the phone back to Fastboot. Any ideas on how this could be fixed?
Any help is much appreciated.

normally a phone wont go into fastboot mode automatically it could be your hardware keys are short. also one final try you can do is follow this http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/general/tool-oneplusrecovery-tool-v1-0-restore-t2991851
I apologize as I've been out of flashing ROMs for over 4 years now.
I unlocked my OP6 bootloader, added TWRP, the flashed Lineage 11.
One of my apps wont play nice with root so I tried to go back to stock.
I tried to use TWRP 3.5.2_9-0 to restore my TWRP backup I made of the stock ROM after unlocking and obtaining root, it ended in a 'extracttarfork() process ended with error=255' at the point of trying to restore system. I tried it a couple of times only trying to restore system, boot and data.
Now I'm in a jam.
The phone boots up but goes right to 'Qualcomm CrashDump Mode' with error 'Attempted to kill init! exitcode=0x0000000b complete_and_exit'.
If I hold vol down + power it takes me to the TWRP loading screen and gets stuck there.
edit: I can now boot into fastboot by holding power, once booting I let go and hold vol up + vol down at the same time. I can then use my PC from fast boot to boot into TWRP.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. I made a mistake somewhere and I'm not sure where.
edit: After following this guide https://www.droidwin.com/restore-oneplus-6-stock-via-fastboot-commands/ I am now at the point where my device is boot looping and if I hold volume down during the loop I get to the OnePlus recovery.
edit last: Finally found MSM worked to get me back to stock. https://www.thecustomdroid.com/oneplus-6-6t-unbrick-guide/
Hopefully if anyone matches the issue I had this post will help. Lots of different guides for MSM, the above link was easy and worked without any special downloads, setups or files.
Glad u got ur phone booted again. Yeah, for me the best way to revert everything back on normal state is just re flash the entirephone with MSM dowload tool.
I hope this could help the others.
