If all goes as planned, I'll have mine tomorrow and I plan on toying around with those. I'm used to them on my DSLR so if I get ambitious enough, maybe I'll do some side by sides, but I'm pretty lazy soooo.,......
The left image is on my Canon T3i in manual mode. The right is my Note 5. I in no way expected it to be close to the same quality but the color was just way off. https://i.imgur.com/4z1XkqT.jpg The manual settings on the Note 5, though nice....are still quite basic. I may try a couple other cameras with RAW support.

Did you see they have a 'Food' filter setting you can download from within the camera app? Wonder how much a difference it would make.

Took some pictures of my new place this weekend:
These are just snapped in auto mode, no changes made to anything. Really like the camera, especially how quickly it focuses. Have been told to try the Auto HDR mode, so I will when I get a chance.

Post pictures you have taken with this device

So far I'm reading alot of you guys are not happy with dim light or challenging situation results. Can you post good and bad shots? Will help other get an idea in deciding. I'm really concerned about indoor shots, dim lights, etc. Thanks.
I took both of these in low light. First is night mode, second is auto mode.
*I have removed the plastic film from the lens. It doesn't actually cover the opening, but the camera does seem to focus a bit better since removing it. Maybe placebo...

Both are without flash.
All of these were taken in artificially lit rooms... average to mediocre lighting.

The camera doesnt seem too bad, but I dont think the camera would do well in a pub or club type of light. But so far I like how the pics look. At least night mode helps.
The camera is fantastic.

In apartment shots (not super low light but not bright our outside lit) are def better than my iphone 5. I recommend turning on auto night mode (switched to night automatically).
Camera is amazing.

no deep sleep
My phone won't go into deep sleep. I've turner off wifi search even when wifi is off. Location(gps) is set to battery save mode, I'm not running any apps in therror background. Android System is using up 30% of my battery. Unfortunately I can't use better battery stats to see exactly what is not allowing my phone to go into deep sleep.?
Pretty satisfied. ☺

Yes. you are right. If anyone want to get great battery life then it must be needed for first full charge. When i bought my first battery then i did charge it first 8 hours..
I normally wouldn't worry too much about my phone's background, but i got a white S view case and had to make this background for it.

Display issue after 4.4.4 upgrade

Hey, so I Just upgraded my moto to 4.4.4 in the UK, and now there's a sort of smudge on my screen near the center left of the display, its very obvious when i use my phone in bed, and it annoys me non stop. The smudge looks like a white fingerprint but its on the display, like a dead pixel or something which it obviously isnt. I will take a photo on my tablet so you can see it, as unsurprisingly it doesnt show up in screenshots. I would greatly prefer software alternatives over hardware ones due to the fact im in quite a rural area. Thanks, Neo

Here's the picture. Sorry for horrible quality, but at least you can distinctly the smudge.

Try to dry the humidity with an hair dryer, carefully, really. This was the suggestion I can second, in my opinion. The better photo?

I've been really busy today working, so I'll take one in the morning. Also, if its water under the screen should I put the dryer on minimum heat?

Here's a "better" photo, as my moto has the best camera of my devices, and my tab 2 has a 3mp shooter so the quality ain't great.
EDIT: been blow drying to seemingly no gain, will try later. In the meantime, any other ideas?

Share your amazing G4 Photos!

Hi,
The last three devices I've owned (S6, S5 and HTC One M7) all had photo threads. So, I went looking for one for this amazing beast of a device and in spite of it having arguably the best camera out there (I give it the edge over the S6, which I used for the last 6 months), I could find no such thread! So, here it is!
I look forward to seeing what the rest of you have done with it. Happy Shooting!

I should mention that these are all as shot on the camera. I love to edit in Snapseed and I share on Instagram (Sheldor1967). But, for sake of showing off this camera I will share photos here unedited, only cropped.
And, though I didn't do it with these photos because I don't remember, I will try to say whether they were in Auto mode or manual.
The auto is extremely capable here.

Out camping, 30 seconds exposure, 350 iso, unedited. I think the orange bottom part is a mixture of some light pollution and a truck that drove by during the picture. Turned out really cool tho!
PS if you don't have a tripod, a roll of duct tape is just wide enough to prop up your phone and it won't move!

All of these in manual mode. I forget the settings as they span a few months. The moon in clouds (just before I warranty claimed the phone) a deer, New River Gorge bridge in West Virginia, a railroad bridge, and 4th of July fireworks.
