Hi I sold some stuff on Craigslist and now I'm getting spam emails as text messages saying to check out their website and with pictures of girls. I use Textra to blacklist that email but then it's a different one each time. I'm on t-mobile is there a way to block all text messages from email or Web?
Running blisspop with xposed thanks.

Is there an app that regularly updates and can block most known sms spam/scam messages, in recent weeks I am up to 5 spam/scam messages a day. These messages have usually come with a "reply STOP to unsubscribe" but the last several have not, obviously I have been ignoring the messages and deleting them but this last one came from [email protected] and I'm getting tired of it. I plan on calling t-mo CC tomorrow but not sure what they are going to do about it since I have an unlimited messaging plan. If there was an app that would "analyze" messages from numbers NOT in my contacts and TRY to determine spam or not and then delete then great. I have seen and tried a few apps and none seem to be able to do what I want, most require you to add the number to your contacts list and then add to block list, or they can block ALL sms from numbers not in my list. If anyone has any ideas please help me out.
PS I do not give out this number when I register for crap online, nor have I ever posted it anywhere on the interwebs so I am pretty certain it's not a crawler picking up numbers online and spamming them.

Hey all.
Iv recently subcribed to facebook sms alerts and its working great.
However the messages i get sent are from slightly different numbers
eg. 32230004 or 32230010, the 3223 is the facebook address but the 0010 is the message number.
This is screwing up my threaded messages as its threading each individual message instead of grouping them.
Is there anyway i can thread a range of numbers so all the facebook messages get grouped eg 3223**** or 32230000-32239999
Thanks in advance
I've been getting alot of advertisment text messages lately, especially at 4 or 5 am which is extremely annoying. I remembered back on winmo, I can access my message options and there's an option to "deny advertisement messages" and I have been ad free for the duration of my phone's use.
Now that I switched over from Winmo to Android, I can't seem to find an option or a way to block those damn texts. I'm doing a test trial of an app called Blacklist, but I dont know if I will still get my text message allowance counted against me. I'm interested in finding a way to block it before it even gets sent to my phone so i will never ever see it.
If anyone has any suggestions I would really really appreciate it!
Thanks!
so no one here has ANY problems with getting advertisment text messages at all? Am I just painfully unlucky or someone just wants to mess with me?
If the text messaging is bothering your then first thing you have to do block the no. which is sending the text messages to you continuously.. If the no. are more then you gotta tell the cce to stop sending any brand text messaging promotion to my no. They will do it and your problem will be solved.

There is a good way to block the advertising messages

I've recently been getting a lot of spam text messages coming from a (probably spoofed) domain called @facebookmail.com. I'm unable to block these messages due to the fact that they're from email addresses and not phone numbers.
I've tried several Play Store apps to block spam, but they all require me to change my default text messaging app, which is.. Less than desirable.
Could I get some help here? This is driving me insane!

I have an s8 (SM- g950U). I have Android Messages and Android Contacts installed instead of native Samsung messaging and contacts. When a client initiates a group text, I need to recieve that text but would like to block all the responses from the others on the group text. I have these numbers blocked but they still come through.
Has anyone else had problems blocking individuals responding to a group text?
