Sim not working moto g - Moto G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So i wanted to update my xt1034 to cm 12.1 but it failed. so i flashed the stock firmware i didnt pay attention that it was for asia. i had a backup and restored it with twrp, but now the date and time were august 15 1970 and time 7:00pm. also the sim card is not working and pics and music is deleted after i change the date and time. i am guessing this has something to do with the asia firmware i flashed? so i am currently downloading the correct firmware for my canadian moto g purchased from wind mobile. after flashing this firmware and if i restore my backup would it work? (i also tried factory data reseting after the backup didnt work and stilll the same errors) its not allowing me to download the stock firmware from filefactory. can someone please download the file and upload it to a drive or dropbox acc and link it to me? here is the link to the firmware i need http://www.filefactory.com/file/jd11...FC_1FF.xml.zip please help me out. I also just realized I accidentally flashed thedual simstock firmware so it must be the reason why it's not working.

I tried and no success. My system version is 210.12.41.falcon_umsts.AWS.Retail.en.CA and it should not be umsts because my phone is not dual sim.

If you can still boot in fastboot mode (press [power]+[vol-] for a few seconds then release) then your bootloader is fine. Can you confirm?

Remember to flash the 4.4.3 firmware because there is NO DOWNGRADING. So thats probobly why you get those errors.
If you cant find the 4.4.3 firmware just flash 4.4.2 but manually input the fastboot commands and dont flash gpt and motoboot.

Am I dreaming?

I got the 64GB Sandstone Black A0001 device.. On the package it says 64GB and the back cover of the device is Sandstone Black,
and not White. BUT!! When I go to settings>about>storage it says that total memory is only 12.14GB... What is happening here?
Am I doing something wrong? The IMEI of the device is the same as on the package... So what happened?
Did you buy it through and invite? If not where did you buy it from? Does it have the CyanogenMod branding/logo on the back ?
If the answer(s) for the questions above are no then you have a Chinese variant instead of the international variant and the seller probably flashed CM on the device himself and by mistake used a 16GB version image instead of the 64GB image.

Your not the first. Locate the factory images and flash the 64gb one. You will be good to go. Rest assured it truly is 64gb as its the only one in production.
Thanks. I actually bought the device second hand from a friend and it had ColorOS installed on it which I replaced with Cynogenmod CM11S.
Than I gave the device to my daughter as a present... OK - are there two different versions of the original CM11s file to flash? One for 64GB and
the other for 16GB?

Yes correct. Just download and flash the file "cm-11.0-XNPH33R-bacon-signed-fastboot.zip" from the official Cyanogenmod/oneplus site HERE and you'll be good to go. You could search for the 64GB rom version on XDA but i personally like getting my roms from the site directly. The image on the official site is for both sizes.

No. don't try to flash that file with a custom recovery as it is a fastboot flashable zip. Search for a guide and you'll be good to go
This thread explains the process and requirements rather good.
Yeah as @DuckMcQUack said this is the fastboot image so you cant flash it through recovery. If you want to flash through recovery you should have a look around the forums for the recovery flashable images.

IMHO, Yes.
The last command during the fastboot flash (from earlier link) will actually wipe your device so no need to do it through recovery.
"fastboot update -w cm-11.0-XNPH25R-bacon-signed-fastboot.zip" ((-w = Wipe :good)
PS: Btw note that the filename in the last command will be different e.g. XNPH25R should be XNPH33R, since your flashing the newer image...

The entire Cyanogenmod 11S OS + GApps is contained within that single .zip file. Its just called a factory image not really a .img file.
An over simplified explanation: You are essentially formatting/wiping your PC and installing Windows from scratch.

Find a ROM here for your device. http://www.filefactory.com/folder/c6cdedc45a775d27/
Then follow this guide to restore stock. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2542219
If you want to keep internal SD contents, skip erase userdata step. You can then reflash a recovery and flash whatever custom ROM.

extract t-mobile modem.img from latest firmware

Hey gang,
This was done by another member on XDA. latest tmobile firmware is Build: 10.5.17.IN55CB. I have 2 questions:
1. is there a remote possibility of downloading the tmobile firmware or it totally internal, as in, the firmware is under "lock and key" from tmobile.
2. is there the latest modem.img from the latest firmware extracted yet by a remote possibility?
Thanks.
NOTE: for those that can provide me a link, a donation is coming your way for your help. :good:

I have the modem from the 10.5.10 (I think) tmobile firmware. I downloaded it as a modem.img. I need to know if the modem.img from the latest firmware 10.5.17 was pulled. I know tmobile is hella regulating on these firmwares now.
I did download the stock firmware from your mega.nz account. I unzipped it and got this: modem.emmc It just threw me a mental curveball.
