hello,
please poste here your feedback about youtube integration with new coreplayer 1.2.1.
for me that's working very well with H263 hight video quality and WIFI connection.
I like it too!!!
You dont have to download every part of movie, that u want to watch and it runs very well!
How are you guys upgrading your version? I am a registered owner however, I did not pay for Handango's re-download service. The Core site does not offer a download of a trial (so I can apply my reg code).
TIA!
Hmmm, I got mine through Mobihand and I got an email from them saying a new version was released. Logging into Mobihand gave me the option to download the update from my My Account page. Handango has something similar I thought. If not, is it OK to post the cab file here?
Is this version able to play .flv files and is the direct connection to youtube without problems ?
Is there any way to improve the quality of the video?

We do not support FLV... what we do is allow you to select the quality of the stream your device can handle based on the available streams hidden (to the public) on YouTube. Essentially YouTube in CorePlayer Mobile or Pro will _ALWAYS_ be better then even YouTube.com because there is no need for:
1) A web browser
2) Adobe Flash

hello,
there is no trial version, you can get it for 25$ at mobihand.com
I've got a fair bit of problems with this Youtube integration. Firstly I get a lot of file cannot be found errors pointing to rtsp://*.3gp links, even though I have the quality set to h264.
With h264 YT-videos I also get a lot of stuttering, particularly if there's a lot of action or detail. Some videos work perfectly. Some only work some of the time, and some are unwatchable. The audio plays, but the video stutters. Yet, it never stops to buffer. Shouldn't it? I can't find any way to make it download some of it before playing either.
What kind of throughput is needed to get these h264-streams smooth? I'm guessing 1Mbit is not enough.
I also did try the medium quality setting, but that was simply unwatchable. Pretty much impossible to make out any detail. Very grainy/blocky. Is this normal?
That aside though, I'm loving the feature, if I can only get it working satisfactory.
Betaboy, any chance Coreplayer can work with Hulu.com?
I've just downloaded CorePlayer v1.2.1 and have been playing around with it. I'm without WiFi at the moment, so I've attempted to play back over 3G, but I just get the download cursor. I'll have to try WiFi when I get home.
Although it has the built in CorePlayer button, is there anyway I could get it to kick off from the YouTube web page ?
The web page link kicks off the HTC Streamign Media app. Do I need to make a .FLV association with Coreplayer ?
Also, I'd be interested to know if it is possible to playback other Web Media Content sites, such as Google Video.
* EDIT *
Ignore this. I just saw the other thread of enabling the .RTP and .RTSP file associations. It seems to direct to CorePlayer now.
But I still haven't been able to view any content over 3G!
you'll have to wait 10-15 seconds until the buffer is filled enough to begin playing...
and the 'TODO' list has been updated in the other thread... i was going through my network related settings in coreplayer and may have found something
Could anyone tell me what shortcut I could use to start Coreplayer straight into YouTube mode ? I'd like to link it to HTC Home or the Cube.
Any ideas ?
Thanks
What do you mean by "youtube mode"?
You can't use coreplayer to browse youtube videos... only to stream them to your PDA...
But if you have a specific address for specific video that's another story... Otherwise youll have to search for the videos through Opera or PIE...
Coreplayer v1.2.1 has a YouTube icon at the bottom righthand corner (next to the Media Library one). By pressing on it, you can browse for videos. It seems as if an online browsing interface is built into Coreplayer v1.2.1 specifically for YouTube.
I'm trying to find a shortcut to go directly to this page.
I've also found that browsing YouTube via Opera does start Coreplayer (by having RTP and RTSP protocols compatible), but the video errors out.
So the only means I have of accessing YouTube content is using that icon from within Coreplayer... Hence I'm seeking a direct shortcut to link in from HTC Cube.

I am also interested in this.. Any ideas?? Mortscript or something??
Hey guys!
I have a question. I am not a developer. I am only posting here to give my developer a guideline because he is not that experienced with mobile websites. We are currently working on a mobile website and I would like to implement a video on auto play. How can I make this work if the video is hosted on Amazon AWS? If Autoplay is not possible - which code should I use then and whats the best video format to use for mobile videos? I would not prefer to use youtube etc. since when people tap on the video to start > video is opened in youtube app on most devices and users are led away from the site itself.
thanks!

I recently bought a tablet for media consumption. I have been away from android for a while (my last device was a Droid 2). As I'm sure you all know, YouTube now has a featured that lets you reduce the video to the corner so you can browse YouTube while watching Youtube.
This seems like a pointless feature. If I could watch YouTube while browsing Chrome, now THAT would be something.
Am I just missing the point?!?
On a related note, is there a way to do just that: watch YouTube while using other apps?
Thanks for your help demystifying this.

Great work.
But if I scan it with Malwarebytes, it's showing a Trojan.
Can you please tell me why?
VidMate is a fantastic app to download videos.
Great Idea na Work on this app! I use Filsh for download videos from YouTube! Thank You! I use it!
Why does the Vidmate app not work on my android 5.1
Try Vidmate and Videoder, both are great.
You can download the official latest vidmate app from uptodown.com
the app developers post the latest version here.
I recommend vidmate for movies, songs and other videos.
But the best apps for YouTube video download is Videoder. You can get it from uptodown or from it's official website.
Also it has support for many other popular websites, you'll definitely like those.
Yeah some of vidmate apps got trojans, that why better use browser version, just dont click anything in popup ads, works perfect for me, you can find it here http://vidmatemp3.audio
When the download options appear when downloading YouTube videos a radio circle is already highlighted, would this be the source of the actual video for example 360, or 480 or 720?
In other words if it's already pre highlighted at 480 there's no point in using 720.
Vidmate is a video downloading the app for Android-powered devices with which users can download online videos from anywhere for free. The internet is full of videos and there are at least 50 major websites that stream videos online. However, people cannot download the videos from those websites because – either they don’t permit it or there isn’t any good video downloader. But don’t you worry because here is Vidmate APP, the best video downloading app for Android devices. You can download online videos from websites like YouTube, Vimeo, and Metacafe at zero cost from VidMate APK.
Hello,
I'm new here. I am a professional Java dev, but I have no experience with development on Android.
I'd like to implement an app which allows for saving bookmarks of youtube videos on a mobile device. By a bookmark I mean saving a particular moment of a video being watched (like a youtube link with t=123s param). My idea is to create an overlay which interacts with a google native youtube app.
My question is, what types of information can I get from the overlaid app? I'd like to extract somehow the link to the exact moment of the video. Do apps allow to interact with them in this way? I suspect that there is no "easy" way (like some API call) to get the link from the youtube app, but maybe I could perform couple of clicks (in behalf of the user) to get a pure link (without the time param) and then extract the exact moment of the video by analysing the progress bar of the video being watched. Does it make sense to you?
What are your suggestions to implement this kind of functionality? I'd like to make it as easy as possible from the perspective of the user who watches youtube videos using the native google youtube app.
Best,
Tomek
