[Completed] searching rom for my GPS tablet - XDA Assist
HI,
I bought from Aliexpress GPS based on an android tablet.
the problem is, it came with a very bad android 4.4.2 version: it's a Chinese version, no space to install anything because it has several partitions on the inner space, cant install many apps from google play because of Chinese restrictions, the device is unrooted and I really want to find a new ROM for it.
I was able to install a device info app and to extract some details for this tablet, can anyone help me find a new rooted ROM for this device without all the Chinese limitations? thanks.

[n00b-alert] Hi all, I recently purchased the tablet mentioned in the title & am wondering if someone out there has a stock rom for this device or advice on how I could create a rom. Astar Y3 chinese tablet , problems apps freeze and slow especially when on WIFI
Hello In short -There may be a kernel issue with the WIFI/BT driver / Any way to fix it? -Multitasking not working, only one app may run if at all. Apps start slowly and freeze from time to time. Recently I bought a cheap chinese Allwinner A33 based tablet Astar Y3 or softwinner qt-7. It's really slow when connected to wifi (module rtl8723cs) and i've began suspecting that it's a driver issue in the android kernel. As an offline device it may work when background processes are disabled from developer settings. Is there anyway to find a better ROM for this device, currently running 4.4.2? It has 2 GB ROM, and 1 GB RAM. Any ideas? Has anyone succesfully made this piece of junk work? [HELP] Capturing audio data and save to raw PCM file in AudioFlinger
After some research, I find out this is possible to capture the audio data in libaudioflinger of Android. I think the audio data is being written to HAL in here: Code: ssize_t framesWritten = mNormalSink->write((char *)mSinkBuffer + offset, count); Full code: android.googlesource.com/platform/frameworks/av/+/lollipop-release/services/audioflinger/Threads.cpp#2118 I'm sorry, XDA don't let me to post the link. So I need to remove the https. So, I would like to save the Code: mSinkBuffer + offset to a file (which I expected it will be raw PCM audio file). I using those stream to write it to file: Code: std::ofstream audioData ("/data/audiodata.raw", std::fstream::app); audioData.write((char *)mSinkBuffer + offset, count); audioData.close(); The file is successfully written and it has data in it.
