I installed the OTA for 4.1.2 and have not rooted my T-mobile T999 at all. I've watched videos that said it was for this firmware and model, but when I go into recovery mode and try to install the zip file, I get a message saying "E: Signature Verification Failed." SuperSU is on my phone, but when I try to launch it, it says "There is no SU binary installed and SuperSU cannot install it. This is a problem!"
I've never rooted a phone before, but the videos I watched seemed really easy, but it's not working for me.
Can somebody post how to do it with the most updated G3rootsprint.zip file. Maybe I'm using one that's too old, or maybe since the update is only days old, it's not possible with the processes that are online already.

Use this guide to root the t999v. I used it a couple months ago and it works fine, and as a bonus it wont trip your flash counter.

I have gone to the Saferoot thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2565758 and am trying to root my S3 on the ML1 update. Everything in the install.bat runs fine, but when I get to the part where I need to open SuperSU and have it update binaries, I hit normal as instructed,KNOX is detected, and it fails to disable KNOX. No amount of searching is finding me an answer how to remedy this. I don't really care about trying 25 different ROMS or such, but just want root access again for Titanium Backup. Ideas?

Have you verify that your phone successfully rooted? Check it with root checker from the market.

I did have my phone rooted prior to the OTA. I've been rooting my phones for years, but have never messed with adb shell. I read your post before posting this question but it is kind of greek to me. I've always used the usual run this, run that, Odin this, CWM that type approaches. My SuperSU binary won't update because it can't disable KNOX.

I've been trying to get this OTA 4.3 rooted with no success. I ran the saferoot install.bat, and after multiple tries, it finally managed to disable KNOX. I cannot however get SuperSU to update the binaries. I've run it a bunch of times. SuperSU managed to turn off Superuser citing a conflict, but simply fails at installation. I downloaded the 1.91 SuperSU update, and have tried multiple times to flash via stock recovery. After verifying update package comes up, it fails to verify update signature, ends, reboots, and doesn't install. I uninstalled SuperSU and tried to flash and it doesn't install.
I have Googled and Googled with no solutions.
I am also finding that this OTA isn't very stable. I am having intermittent weird issues like today my camera just wouldn't work for a while until reboot, and the phone has turned itself off a couple of times.

Once you got the # , then run the following:
mount -o remount,rw /system
rm /system/bin/su
mount -o remount,ro /system
After this open SuperSu app and see if you can update. If updated successfully then reboot your phone.

You have Superuser and SuperSu in your phone and the Superuser is the default one which root no longer working. So these commands basically remove the Superuser "su" executable file, which allowed your SuperSu to be updated and became a default root.

I had tried the saferoot and it failed several times, until i installed kies 3 here's how finally was able to root my SCH-R530u Us cellular phone with JB 4.3:
downloaded saferoot & unzipped, then installed kies 3 & run it (make sure your phone is detected ok in kies) after kies opens & your phone is recognized open saferoot and run it. wait for the phone to restart, then go to play store and download supesu and install it or update it, then open supersu & it should ask to install binary. that should do it! Hope this helps:victory:

i rooted my droid maxx system version 12.15.15 and 4.2.2 but noticed adblock plus wasn't working, it updates and everything, but ads still show up, even after reboot. Then I downloaded pry-fi and it says Error Could not acquire root access. Is your device rooted? wifi tether works fine. When I open SuperSU it says the Su Binary needs to be updated. Continue? When i try Normal, it says Installation Failed! What's going on??

I think I did that and got it going again...cant remember what I did, but adblock hasn't been working for awhile and today i noticed i get same error when is open supersu again I'm on the 12.15.15 obake and 4.2.2 and I know I used TiBu to freeze updater because I didn't like notifications about update. I don't want to lose root. Build number SU1-15. The mobile hotspot hack works fine. Its never been on 4.4.4. Is it possible to flash the rooted 4.4.4 from these directions http://forum.xda-developers.com/dro...o-gain-android-4-4-4-fw-su4-21-t2841588/page2
or what does it take to restore supersu and root? I would like to have the 4.4.4 if I can have root

Hey guys, I found a way to install Xposed on the Alcatel Onetouch Flint by Cricket wireless. First, your phone must be rooted and you must have SuperSU installed. Next, you need to download FlashFire from Google play. Now download the latest version of the Xposed framework installer zip here: http://dl-xda.xposed.info/framework/sdk22/arm/
You also need the Xposed apk for lollipop here, JUST DOWNLOAD DON'T INSTALL IT YET: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3383776&d=1435601440
Now open FlashFire andd grant it root access. Hit the plus button and hit flash zip or OTA. Navigate to the Xposed installer zip. This is important: UNCHECK MOUNT SYSTEM READ WRITE. If you don't uncheck this it won't work. Press the check to continue then scroll to the bottom and hit the lightning button to flash. Your screen will go black for a minute before the zip flashes. After its done your phone will reboot. After it finishes rebooting, install the Xposed apk, then you're done.

Try installing SuperSU to /system. Open SuperSU and click settings and click install SuperSU to /system. It will tell you to reboot after the app closes. After you do that and reboot, try FlashFire again
Before I do that is SuperSu supposed to ask me to update everytime I open it? I also noticed that rootking has its own root access manager

Uninstall SuperSu. Then try this: http://www.w0lfdroid.com/2015/05/How-to-Remove-Replace-KingUser-KingRoot-with-SuperSU.html?m=1 Make sure to download the zip next to where it says "a newer version" (The second link).
Thanks, I finally got it but had to use SuperSu me pro then had to install SuperSu as a system app then delete both of the KingRoot apps using uninstaller from the play store then SuperSu finally fully updated. The way the link showed didn't delete it it just kept being unable to find any of KingRoot files but I appreciate your time next step is finally xposed. Any news on getting twrp??

Wow Im surprised SuperSUme worked for you. I tried that first and it just hung after the first step then it crashed. We don't have custom recovery yet cuz we can't unlock the bootloader yet. I found a setting in developer options that says "Allow the bootloader to be unlocked" but I don't know how to actually unlock it after enabling that option.
Yea I had to go thru a few different versions of it for it to work. About the unlocked bootloader part it kinda seems like the idol 3 and the Flint are similar you might try the steps used in the idol 3 instructions to unlock the bootloader I would but I'm waiting for the new LCD screen for my laptop.

I'm about to try it. I'll let y'all know
Installation of Xposed via Xposed apk
I initially backed up via Flash fire and in a bold move even for me,I downloaded and installed Xposed via the 3.1.1 apk.It can be found on the Xposed Lollipop thread at bottom of first post.So far it works fine and even the limited modules I've installed via the apk work fine.I'm in no time at suggesting this will work for anyone else, just stating what worked for me.Ultimately your device is your responsibility. My advice is be patient and read entire threads.I sacrificed three of these devices to soft bricks thinking I knew better than what 7 years of knowledge should have already told me.

So I accidentally updated SuperSu. My brain was operating on auto and I tried to update the binary as well, it failed. Now I've lost root and can't seem to get it back. I tried uninstalling SuperSu then re flashing it via ADB like I did when I first rooted, but it just won't work. Any thoughts?
Running a tmobile s7 on the MMB29M.G930TUVU3APG1 build.
Thanks!
Still no luck
Does anyone have any ideas? I used the removal tool in the super su app, then uninstalled it, then reinstalled via adb, butI still can't fix what I've done.

Yes. Save anything. Factory reset and reroot your phone with this superuser. Do not update the binary. It's included with the fastboot. Just run the root.bat file after you flashed your AP file in download mode.
