Abnormal battery usage - Smart Manager Galaxy S6 - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
Let me start to point out that I know that Smart Manager is not such a useful tool on most cases, but heck I like it and from time to time I click the "clean all" button on the widget it comes with just to have somehow "clean" system.
Now one thing that bugs me is that for some reason after I clean the system I get a message like the screenshot below stating that some app is eating away my batter faster then it should. Well in my case is PowerAmp with ~2% battery in half an hour. NowI would say it's fine, but heck Smart Manager keeps bugging me with this all day even if I used PowerAmp for half an hour while traveling to work in the morning.
Ok so what I want to ask, is how the heck I get rid of this message without uninstalling the app as Smart Manager recommends (heck won't do that, rather live with it).

I had the same issue with the speedtest app. It went away after deleting it and reinstalling it again. Hope it works :good:

Iam not using widget, so i got this message when i opened Smart Manager. In my case it was Endomondo (while running with gps ON).
So when i opened Smart Manager i had a similar pop-up as you, BUT with app name and (if i remember right) 3 options: force close; ignore; uninstall;.
So i just picked ''Ignore'' and it haven't bothered me ever since.
Not sure if my comment can help you in any way tho.

Amazing, now I just received a new one.....
1.Have a look if you have unchecked Google AdMobs in Playstore Settings
2. Try "Airblocker" from the Playstore
These steps worked for me in a similar case.
Thanks will try, but why is this even happening?
The app located Sky Map Pro as the culprit so uninstalled that, so hope it works.
Never experienced this with the iPhone. Shame on Android for letting such apps through the approval process!
If we compare Play to iTunes Store - there is no approval process here ( there is, but compared to iOS it's like there is none ). Everyone can publish their apps of every kind - no restriction, no "you can't do this or that" from Google.
You have to be careful what you install. There is always the option to report an app - and then Google will take a loot at it, so i'd suggest you do that.
Hey, you guys are so lucky! Fee iPads!
I had this a while ago with a game I downloaded online (an iPhone port, not a paid app) and it kept happening out of nowhere!
Use a "task manager" or "task killer" app from the market and close any open apps one by one until you see the notification disappear. That way you'll find out which app is poisoning your phone, and you delete it straight away.
Problem solved and make sure you let people in this thread know, so if they have the same app causing this issue, then they can delete it immediately.
Hope that helps
Sent from my White Galaxy Note, using Tapatalk 2 Beta 5
thats how i solved it
i had that problem.
very simple ...
when u press on the notification its using the spam app to open the link.
after u press the notification
press long press on the home menu, u will see the last used apps. check the last one on the list.
thats the Spam one ! ! !
I had these before and always after a reboot....
Then I went to Play store and installed Airpush Detector. Check and Uninstalled those ad-wares.
It's gone now!
Thanks for all the great replies guys. I really appreciate it, cheers

Seriously Google play?

This is pretty messed up. On airplane mode. Running greenify.

Yet your battery still looks to be very close to full (actually, it looks like it's full). 85.7% of jack squat is jack squat.
Point is it kept it awake the entire time I was in a movie with the phone on airplane mode.

Definitely needs to be an easier way to stop it.

can't just ''Force close at application list ? '' I've tried that one and my task manager did not saw it or just try to find some app blocker when airplane is for special profiles/modes etc. Did not get in deep enough to just understand but mostly as he said ''Finding all time updates'' when i do not use it, i just disable google updates and when i need then just simply enable them.
Hope this could help you !
Fyi - Maybe Some task killlers may do this the same while blacklisting them

just freeze it. you can use several apps to freeze google play and google play services. as for me my favorites are Link2SD and LuckyPatcher. everytime you have to go to the movies just quickly freeze it (and reboot if want to make sure).

who is spying after me?

Hi.
I assume that someone spies against me. look at these 3 reasons:
1. my notification list contains a transparenr/black icon. see image (i marked the "hole" yellow frame):

how can i know which app activates it? the active apps list seems pretty ok.
2. after i turn on my device (samsung galaxy s2) and wait for about a minute or so, i turn on the screen, want to draw my pattern but it screen tells me that i should wait 30 seconds, means that someone or somewhat has previousely tried to guess the pattern and failed to do so for 5 times. it happens every time i turn on the device.
3. my waze app sometimes loads by itself, even while i'm not touching the device.
what do you guys think?
Thanks!

well first of your image link is broken anyways i am assuming your phone is rooted if it were you could try installing greenify to see which apps are running in background also if you think you have a R.A.T on your phone (p.s a R.a.t stands for remote administration tool and is a type of spyware) if i were you i would try installing a free anti-virus like avast run that see what happens if that doesn't show up as anything and you are still feeling like you are being watch maybe flash to a nandroid backup?
thanks

A few weird issues...

When I turn the phone off and back on it wants my password instead of a fingerprint... is this happening with you guys? The fingerprint only works AFTER the password has been put in if rebooted..
Also I am getting a weird error message saying "all apps associated with this action have been turn off, blocked, or are not installed." I do use package disabler pro, but everything I disabled was the same stuff I disabled on my s6... anyone have an idea of what could be causing this?
Last thing is the message that pops up saying my SD card is inserted, anyway to get rid of that so it doesn't pop up every reboot?

Firstly the password is normal. There's a quip on there about it being safer that way. I also found if you install greenify and allow it administrator access you can't do fingerprints anymore either. They just upped the security. That's all.
Secondly you probably disabled something , as it sounds like you already know. Lastly that's normal. Guessing it's like the s5 popups that seemed to never go away

Meh... kinda sucks...
Any clue what I might have disabled to cause that? Or am I going to have to go through it one by one.. :'(
Nevermind I got it. It ended up being game launcher which I checked by accident. Hopefully root happens soon to disable that SD card thing cause that's annoying.
Agreed. Glad you found it!

Me too!
One more thing, though. Anyone have any idea of how to add the temperature (weather) to the lock screen? My S6 had the time and a little icon showing what the weather was...

What is Network operator Theme pack?

As the title says, what is Network operator Theme pack? Ive already googled it and there is nothing close to it.
I was looking through my phones app list with system apps showing and I saw an app with that name, Network operator Theme pack and I dont recall seeing it before. It goes without saying, but I didnt install that app. The package name is "com.android.networksettings.overlay.ct".
There is also an app called Permission controller Them pack and its package name is "com.google.android.overlay.modules.permissioncontroller".
While they may mean nothing at all and be completely harmless, the "overlay" part raised a little red flag for me. Ive also been having severe battery drainage issues, but I dont know if that is related or not. Severe as in losing 1% of the charge every 3-8 minutes when using the phone and about 4%-5% every 45-60 minutes when the screen is off.
I looked at the list of processes running in 3C All in One Toolbox (paid version) and the only thing that was a problem was the mediaextractor kernel process which I killed each time it was a problem as it was eating up in excess of %150+ of the phones cpu. I was also rooted up until a few weeks ago when I updated magisk (through magisk manager) & edxposed, then after the phone restarted I was no longer rooted and unable to re-root without wiping all my data (which, needless to say I did not do as I am not in the mood to start over from scratch right now.
So yeah, if anyone could tell me what the strange app package is and maybe help me figure out my battery drainage problem, Id greatly appreciate it.
My phone is a OnePlus 7 Pro running android 10.
Stay healthy everyone!
P.s. I attached a screenshot of the app info window from both of the strange apps mentioned above.
