can anybody please tell me how to root this phone or upgrade it to 2.1 or 2.2. am completely new to this android and i dont know anything. can you people please guide me....

ASIA ChaCha OTA to 1.57

I've just checked for software update and receive the notification for 1.57 but I cannot update OTA, it booted up the CWM recovery and said that it could not mount the update zip. I'm using the VOID 1.3 asia rom by e.japonica.
Any information everyone ?? Does this fix the Dialer issue for battery ?

you need to be on stock recovery to apply OTA updates.

the dialer issue already fixed on android 2.3.5 which is EU 1.52~1.54. didn't know asia version OTA has 1.57...

Could you update your ASIA cooked ROM to version 1.57. That would be awesome.

if any one has 1.57 please upload. we cannot cook a custom rom unless some one shares it

There is no link and there will never be links to rom's or OTA's. All we have are leaked stuff

[Q] rooting FROYO.XXKB2

I have samsung galaxy s with following configuration,

I want to CF-root package for this configuration, most of the links about this doesnt exists or blocked e.g.megaupload.
Any other solution most welcome..

[Completed] Rooting Samsung S5 Duos (SM-G900FD)

I have Samsung (SM-G900FD) with Lolipop(5.0) and I want to root it without tripping the knox. I have been searching the internet for past couple of days and I have found a way. It involves, among other steps, downloading and installing the "towelroot" apk, but here is the problem. Towelroot method does not work with Lolipop and I have to downgrade the software to Kitkat(4.4.2), the software version my phone came with.
Once again I have searched thoroughly to find a way to downgrade to Kitkat and I came to the understanding that I need to download official KitKat firmware from sammobile and install it manually, but I don't know which firmware to download from the list that appears against my phone's model.
I have following questions:
1. How will I know which firmware to download from the list.
2. Once I have downgraded and rooted my phone, can I upgrade to android 5.0
