If I were to flash a new stock rom for the Huawei Y600 u151 for say.... HuaweiU20. Will I require to root using the methods for the Y600 or for the U20? (I flashed to that rom because my phone was bricked and I couldn't find the one for the U151 >_>)
Sir,
You have been pointed by my colleague @jd1639 in an old topic open all of you on this forum.

Hi
I can see from your post history that you've already posted the same question here:
[Q&A] [Discontinued][rom] MIUIv5 3.12.27 [UNOFFICIAL protou] [03.06.2014]
Please refer to the XDA Forum Rules for information on the creation of duplicate posts/threads. Please also note that XDA Assist isn't a general helpdesk area, our purpose is to point people who don't know where to post in the right direction. You already know where your device section is so please post your question in the q&a section for your device here:
Desire X Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
It doesn't look like you're getting the help you need in the thread you already posted in so it's ok to post a new thread in the q&a section.
Good luck!
Also take a look at this thread:
(PROTODUG) HTC DESIRE X DUAL SIM T329W (ROOT /CUSTOM RECOVERY/MODS/ROMS)-AIO
That might be a more appropriate place for your question.

Hey, I recently got a Nexus 6, and instead of installing CM as I usually do, I'm going to try rooting and using Xposed. The trick is that I use Linux exclusively, so I can't use the one-click installers. It's a Nexus, so unlocking is a piece of cake, and I know how to use adb and fastboot to install a custom recovery.
From there, I'm not totally sure what to do. I downloaded the SuperSU zip from chainfire, which I'll install from twrp... Then... Do I need to install busybox or something? I guess I'll have to side load xposed after that?
Also, not sure what the update path will be after that. I guess rooting will break OTA... So what do I do?
Sorry for being such a newb! Thanks!
Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. You can find your specific device forum here (bookmark/subscribe this):
Nexus 6
All information for your device can be found within that specific device forum. Within that section you will find a dedicated q&a sub-forum:
Nexus 6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
I'd suggest you do some reading in your device forum, see if you can find your answers there. If you can't find your answers go ahead and ask your question in the q&a section I linked you to just above, that's the best place for it.
Good luck!

I installed Omni rom (kitkat) recently on my LG optimus 4x (p880), my phone is rooted, but i can't find root access in developer options, and I dont't have root now. Please help, and thank you.
Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. You can find the q&a thread for the ROM here:
[Discussion / Q&A] OmniROM
Clicking the q&a tab at the top of the ROM page gets you to the q&a section for that ROM, and that's the best place for your question, so please ask there.
Good luck!

Hello guys,
this is my first post on the forum, so forgive me for any signs of ignorance. I did my best to search the forum both in the devices and roms sections before posting this thread.
Here's the thing! I'm having trouble finding any ROMs for my device. I'm using a Huawei Y540-U01, currently running Android 4.4.2, rooted.
I wanted to go at least Android 5.0 but I'm so tired of bugs and problems with my phone that anything is fine for me at this point.
Can you point me where to look? Is there anything I can do if there are no roms for my specific model?
Sorry if the question has already appeared somewhere but I can barely find anything on my phone at all, it appears to be extremely unpopular for some reason...
Cheers in advance!
