Change dpi of micromax the correct way - Android General

Hi guys
Lot of people after rooting just want to get all root benifits.
And its not a wrong thing. We root our devices fot that. But as our topic says infound a lot of noobs searvhing about how to change the dpi of screen the correct way.
Just editing build.prop is good. Butbsome apps may not work properly.
As you call some ond a call the phone reboots.
The dialer is not shown properly.
Default internet brouser not working.
And mouc more.
To get rid of that use xposed framework.
Thanks from my heart for the app developers they are on top of world.
You can go to google play store to download xpoaed framework app. Amd from that app download its osoum module named apps setting.
Its another app for which i give all creditbto its real developer .
After installing both the apps.
Open xposed and goto mpdules. Tic the module. Goback and click framewprk and click install. After a reboot you have apps setting working. Go to the apps and change their dpi to normal which are not working properly. Save these aettings and give a reboot.
Boom yo have solved a great problem of android.
These apps are not developed bye and i pay a loots pf thanks yo their developers for their heard work.
If you have any problem

Google Play Store

Hi
how does one run Google Play Store from running whenever the F*&&@# it wants.
it only needs to run, when I want it to
This app is intrusive and a memory/process hog.
thx!!
haha yeah.. totally accept that.
its soo annoying.. and the same with maps too
If you want to prevent any app from running when you dont want them to, just install from google play "autostarts" its free, and there you choose which apps you want to prevent fron running

the autostarts, I'm looking at isn't free. that's fine.
i don't have a problem disabling auto start programs.
the problem is apps relaunching themselves, just like Google Play, which runs whenever it thinks it needs to.
background data/storage change/app update/diaper change/my girlfriends has a hang nail...etc
this app along with others are ridiculously intrusive.
i control my phone, not google or some app developer.

Gemini app manager is free and controls autostart properties for app.
If you use it you will see apps such as the play store are set to run when wifi state changes, when you delete an app etc, you can change these settings so it won't start in such situations.
It helps quite a bit.

Thanks! it is usefull for me! ^_^
Tried Genimi, it can be a little hard to navigate its UI but it has a lot of options. Unfortunately Google Play will undo about half of the autorun conditions you set the next time you launch it manually.
yes, i'm also using Gemini app manager, but as spunker88, mentions, google play will reapply it's settings, when it's launched manually.
once again software, doing what it wants...
i want know the google play apps install apk file download from android market ?
it runs in the background and barely uses any memory. it stays running so it can notify you if updates are available as well as to open and load quickly. its not really intruding..
i prefer to update manually
I don't recommend it but I suppose if it's really bugging you you could always try freezing Play Store when you're not using it. You could use App Quarantine and create a widget to freeze/defrost it with 1 click. Not sure if it's going to even work or how this will affect your phone so don't blame me if you screw up your phone.
no freezing...I'll kill it as needed...thx
This is another universal curse of Android.. And sometimes this crap calls itself a service etc to tryto skirt task managers.... This permission needs to be banned from android...
These apps are so small the newer phones don't even leave the developers the standard lame excuse of "quick loading"...
It's my bloody phone.. I'll give permission...
If your app doesn't work right or load quick on a dual core 1.5ghz chipset with 1gig of ram.. YOU DID IT WRONG..

if you actually notice the store hogging ram on a dual core 1.5ghz/1gb ram phone, you are insane.

It's a core Google app. If you want to stop it, root your phone, get a custom ROM, and don't flash Gapps. The phone is set to use Google Play for stuff like this, and barely uses any memory at all.
Stop complaining, and calm down. There are just some things you can't turn off on a phone...you know...kinda like on a computer.
PS: You can set apps to NOT auto-update in the app store settings.
I want running my android tablet ( the tablet running android 4.03 )
... I feel the same of the author of the topic..
If i want an app to run, i'll launch it.
Those answer are all blablabla.. i don't want app in background that i don't use. END.
For me it can drain even 0,001% of battery\ram but it's not the point.
Tried both gemini and autostarts.. as today..
Playstore old worked, the new one reset all settings and always on.
Maps work, but if u launch it , it will reset something, and u have to terminate the app from settings,apps..ecc.
With root must be a way to bypass those stupid apps from get permissions ecc..

[Q] Cyanogenmod 10 using Gemini app problem

Just got Cyanogenmod 10 on my tab and love it. But got a few problems i need to figure out. I still have a problem with apps auto-starting and have used Gemini-app to stop this. But now with the new Cyanogenmood it says that i need to enable USB-debugging. But this option is not possible on my tab. I see the options in settings but they are grey and there is no way to check any box.
Anybody have the same problem???
Ps: Also have problem with youtube-app crashing and a weird thing with XDA site when i start a page here sometimes my utorent-client starts to run.
Im not on the same tab as you but I use Startup manager to kill unwanted apps from starting. Never had any issues with it , free as well.
Startup Manager - Clean up your android system from system startup!
Startup Manager aims at helping disable/enable startup items from system boot for Android devices including smartphones and tablets. To disable an item from system startup, uncheck the application from the list (recheck to restore and it will start again). For other item that do not start with system boot, please use “Customize” to add and enable it to start with system boot.

Try to see the on/off switch in the most up right of screen to enable setting change
About youtube, try delete cash, delete dalvik cash and fix permissions in cwm (no factory reset) if not, so try reflashing gapps again for then try to update youtube via market
If not so try app like tubemate (search google not google play), it is alternative to youtube and allow recording also
Regarding xda try another torrent client or delete cash of xda app and torrent client from setting/apps

Seems that app works. Will try some more. thanx dude

[HOW TO] Enable unsupported apps in multiwindow without root

I thought I would share my discovery on this forum although it has been described by others elsewhere.
There appear to be several methods for enabling any app to work with multiwindow mode if you have a rooted device but I did not want to root mine. I found an app called MW-Pen App Enabler Pro which does the job for non-rooted devices. It will let you choose your installed app, modify it on your phone, prompt you to uninstall and reinstall using the app itself and the end result will be a multiwindow compatible app. The process was pretty quick even for fairly large apps. There are manual methods described on the web that involve decompiling, editing and repacking an apk but this app will take that effort out and do the job smoothly.
The app is free to install on the Play store but in order to start modifying apps you need to purchase the Pro key which is a one off cost of £1.50. I modified TomTom and Audible which immediately appeared in the multiwindow drawer without even a reboot.
I have no stake in the app but it has made my life a lot easier and I congratulate the developer on his great work.:good:
Can this app run more than 2 apps at once?

Hello,
I realize that this post is 3 years old but I recently started using this app but I can only get 2 apps to run at the same time. Is it possible to run more than 2 apps at the same time? If so, how do I do this?
Thanks

why dont you try greenify application. (if u know about xposed.) greenify stops applications and allow them to run only when needed. if you will buy paid app then then you can enable the feature which wakes apps like whatsapp when they get instant messages..

After installing nameless rom. I figured out what the problem was.
Xposed has a good tweak to fool google play and show all aps. So that i can install them.

My new optimization settings:
Device: i9003
ROM: Nameless Rom
Performance apps:
- xPosed Module (to use Greenify)
- Greenify (don't hibernate Memory or other system managing apps apps).
- Memory manager app set to optimal.
Last tip. After installing nameless rom, do not use System Control app nor give superuser permissions. It will decreases a lot of your performance. Quite annoying.. But its true.
For other Roms: Get "Memory Manager" Application.
Or similar.
Press Thank button if it helped you.

[Q] App that lets you select permissions for apps?

Hello.
You download an app, it gives you a big list of what permissions it wants, and you can either agree to it or not use the app...
Is there someway of limiting those permissions? Or provide fake permissions?
Like in most iphone apps you can choose if you want to allow gps, contacts, etc.
I am searching for an app thats will limit those permissions prior to installing it. Won't do me any good if I want to deny contacts access but I do it after its already taken it.
Cheers and thanks
P.S. I'm using a rooted LG G2 d802 with android 4.4.2
I don't think it's possible, even Google's last Play Store update doesn't reveal every single permission when you update stuff, dunno if this limitation affects it or no.
You can use "app ops" (search for it in google play). It is a hidden menu from android os. Obviously it works after installation (iOS works the same, you first install the app and later you decide which permission accept/deny).

Try to search "3c toolbox" in Google.
This app has many integrated tools within it.
You can change permission also.
Good luck
