[Completed] Baseband problem on S4. HELP? - XDA Assist

Okay so I updated my S4(Black Edition) using odin to lollipop 5.0.1 and the baseband was updated to something called HOA1 but when I tried to get back to Stock Kitkat 4.4.2 there was a network error at first I panicked at first but after several hours I saw a post saying flash the new modem to kitkat (HOA1). Why is this happening ? And by the way even when there is no baseband on settings wifi is working completely fine just mobile network problem? I want to get back to FNG4 baseband of kitkat cuz I think this new baseband is eating up battery(is that possible or its just my feeling?) HELP ME! My only major question is why isnt the old stock firmware's baseband working!?

[Completed] [Q] Note 3 N900A running 4.4.4 with Baseband version: N900AUCUCNC2

I have an AT&T Note 3, N900A. It is running 4.4.4, and I had a few fails on installation of the OTA update to Lollipop. Looked at my Baseband Version: N900AUCUCNC2 and I saw on the ATT site that it is supposed to have Baseband Version: N900AUCUDNL1. I am pretty sure this happened when I unrooted the phone to get the 4.4.4 update.
Cannot be certain. Could this be the reason that the OTA won't work? Is there a way to fix it?
Thank you. I apologize if I have posted this in the wrong place. If so, please just steer me straight.

[Completed] samsung s2 gt i9100 dropping wifi issues kitkat 4.4.4

This might just piss everyone off but I am not a seasoned poster so here it is.
I rooted my phone using framaroot then installed CWM via rom manager then tried, neatrom, spirit, pacman, cyanogenmod. all are kitkat 4.4.4 based.
My problem is the wifi keeps disconnecting and connecting spasmodically, after that occasional behaviour though it tends to become dormant, with the toggle tile showing a grey colour. I dont know how to identify the cause, I have checked for hardware problems like the bat500 leak issue, tried setting manual ip settings etc. I am not familiar with all the settings in these more modern versions of android so maybe there is something basic I am missing.
I have done a bug report but have no idea what to look for
Phone specific details
Model: GT-I9100T
Country: New Zealand
Version: Android 4.1.2
Product Code: TNZ
PDA: I9100TDVLSH
CSC: I9100TTNZLSA
MODEM: I9100TDVLS3
was it because the phone has been rooted? or flashed with the incorrect recovery module. Can I recover from this and go back to the jelly bean 4.1.2 stock that was on there originally (i forgot to nandroid after rooting, in the haste of new rom fun, I know what a dickhead) I cant find any original stock JB files for my location.
Any help would be most valued.... Im not retarded but definately feel like it now that Ive been 24hrs trying to solve it.
Thanks in advance
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. Not all Wi-Fi issues are device related. Many of them are router related. Have you rebooted your router? Also, is it's firmware up to date?

It appears that this is a device specific issue, I have searched but cannot find any actual solutions to the problem...
When samsung put out the jb 4.1.2 update they did a crappy job with the modem and then pulled device support.
This issue as far as I can tell is to do with the modem and its drivers (I think) this issue developed with the upgrade to the new 4.1.2 JB stock rom. there were plenty of people having problems on a stock rom platform.
I am guessing that the custom roms dont fix this issue in kit kat 4.4.4 does anyone know if there is progress with the lollipop releases.
Does anyone know what I can do about it? should I open up some of the old threads?
thanks for your reply

[Completed] Samsung Galaxy A3 Help Downgrade 5.0.2 to 4.4.4

Hi all... i have a problem with my Galaxy A3 (SM-A300FU) Let me explane and i hope you can help me:
Few months ago i decided to root my SM-A300FU running android 4.4.4 and all worked so i enjoyed my rooted device with no problems...
Then i decided to update my phone to lollipop just to see how it works but when i tried to root lollipop (using cf auto root for a300fu but for 4.4.4 bec for 5.0.2 it doesn't exist) it started the first time but when i rebooted my phone it stopped working, i mean it's stuck on samsung screen, or worst stuck on a strange yellow "sand screen"... so i reinstalled lollipop normally and started to use it without root waiting for a cf auto root for 5.0.2... some days ago i thought that i could downgrade to 4.4.4 and be able to re root my device so i downloaded stock firmware for my a3 from sammobile.com
but when i tried to flash it (always with odin running administrator) it just stuck at samsung loading screen
I can reflash lollipop and all restart working but i can't root 5.0.2 so i want to downgrade to stock 4.4.4 and i can't!
I'm getting crazy on it trying to flash it tons of times but it don't wanna work... I hope you can help me downgrading this phone!
PS: model code: SM-A300FU build version: LRX22G.A300FUXXU1BOEC

well is there a reason to downgrade to 4.4.4 now that you can get root on 5.0.2?
Anyway if you still want to downgrade, head over to Android's Q&A Section since there's no dedicated forum for your device, and ask your question there
I hooe I have helped you!

[Completed] [Note 3| N9005] Does downgrading the Android version downgrade the Modem as well?

I bought a used Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (N9005) recently, and it was updated to Lollipop 5.0. And after few days I found out that the Phone Radio/Modem was not functioning well (I almost had full 4G coverage when I was using my J7 with the same SIM card, and now it's EDGE. What the ....! ).
I'm not an Android or any type of Mobile expert (not a good English speaker at least ). So as their were rumors saying that the Lollipop update for N9005 had many issues, I removed that and installed the CM13 ROM just to find that it was not the solution for my problem. So I searched the web for almost a day and now I think that the problem is with the Modem and CM13 didn't change it.
My current Baseband version: N9005XXUGBPB1
I was going to downgrade my phone to Android Kitkat 4.4.2, hoping that would downgrade the Radio/Modem as well and fix the problem. But then I got this wise idea to ask some wise guys in this forum if this is gonna work or not?
