Alberto97 and I have ported CyanogenMod 12.1 to the new Moto G. Flash it using TWRP. Be sure to make a backup beforehand. We are not responsible for any damage to your device.
Many thanks should go to scritch007 who developed the CyanogenMod port for the 2015 Moto E LTE (surnia). The device tree is built off his surnia port.
This is a development thread. Questions should go in the Q&A thread.

RIL needs testing, may or may not work on some models. Apart from that, it's running quite nicely. Camera, FM radio, WiFI, GPS, sensors, audio, video playback, keystore etc. are all working.
gonna try this out now.
Also mediafire? good choice.

Sent from my MotoG3 using XDA Free mobile app
waooo That was too fast ,Will surely try this Roms soon !!
thanks
Great work!!
Btw could you tell exactly which kernel source you are using, of surnia or of osprey if its released?
surnia runs at 1.2Ghz, osprey runs at 1.4Ghz.
So in this builds, at which clock does osprey run?
P.S: I dont own either of osprey or surnia, but I am working on kernel based on same chip.
Thanks,

Surnia and osprey share a common kernel, though the osprey released build is 2 months newer than the surnia one, so the osprey kernel has a few changes in it compared to the released surnia 5.1 kernel. The osprey kernel hasn't been released yet. For now, we're running a surnia kernel with some patches (it's my "Squid Kernel" from surnia). Osprey stock kernel source hasn't been released yet, but we'll switch to using that stock kernel for CyanogenMod once sources are released.
The clock speed is read from the dtbs based off the fuses set on the chip.
Very good work Squid. I picked up an 8gb unlocked model at Best Buy on Friday night and I have your recovery and CM port running on it. Everything looks to be perfect so far. I'm an experienced user, so let me know if there's anything I can do to help on my end.

I've been testing 5.0.2 and 5.1 ROMs all the week. All of them lagging or sometimes even hanging on lock screen or in s**t heavy apps like Facebook. I've been trying many Kernels and its different configuration of governors and all other tweaks.
So, after all of this, I am eligible to say about this ROM: Awesome!
Smooth, fast, no lag, not hanging on heavy apps.

Sure =)
1. make sure you are on a recovery which can flash .img files. I recommend TWRP 2.8.5.0
2. While in recovery go to install, change .zip to img on the bottom right, choose the image and flash the needed recovery which you can find here
3. reboot your phone into recovery
4. F2FS is not mandatory - the install.zip formats /system automatically into F2FS. But as aaz03 recommended to get full feature of F2FS and the ROM format /cache and /data to F2FS as well. You can do that in recovery with wipe - advanced wipe - select cache - click on repair or change file system - click on change file system - choose F2FS and confirm with a swipe. Do that as well for data. But as mentioned you can run /cache, /data in ext4 as well.
5. Flash gapps and you're done.
If you decide to format /data into F2FS make sure you backup everything in internal storage as you'll lose those files etc. in there
Click to collapse
But what if i don't want to use F2FS? Can you please make a ext4 rom?
FOR GOD'S SAKE F2FS IS NOT MANDATORY, THE ROM JUST SUPPORTS IT YOU DON'T HAVE TO FORMAT EVERYTHING TO F2FS TO USE THIS ROM. YOU CAN PERFECTLY USE IT WITHOUT DOING ANY CHANGE TO PARTITIONS! EXT4 IS PERFECTLY WORKING

Awesome mate. I'm a big fan of slimroms!! I'll keep a look out for when the rom is ready. Let me know if you want anything tested. :good:

Sent from my GT-I9305 using XDA Free mobile app
Fingers crossed this one will actually work! Any idea of an ETA?
slimrom is the best, cant wait
Could you say what is the base for this rom? Why exactly you chosen to compile SlimLP, not some other more feature-packed rom? [emoji14]
Just wondering and looking forward to testing a cm based slim lp?!? Sounds interesting and new for me ...can you share your local manifest? Are your sources on github?
can´t wait to test but will the cm12 musicplayer and musicfx be in this rom?
My sources aren't on github.com for the simple reason that I can't upload it, my upload rate is 100kb/s so imagine the time it'd get for 20gb... But I'll upload my local manifest. It'll be based on cm12 as atm we don't have an aosp base so I'll do with what I got.
Why slim ? Because we don't have slim on our device and it's known to work well with optimizations
EDIT: -08 March 2015 : Build started, pray for it

it is uploading or you are building this?
However, SlimLP is less feature-packed than any other ROMs. And I somehow prefer to have aaaaall possible options to configure my phone
I got a Optipop build finished from sources but it doesn't boot...does not even pass the samsung boot logo. I think its because of the kernel, which is DerTeufels CM kernel without changes. Any idea what I have to change and/or which kernel I could/should try? Cm-12-Boeffla 3.0 alpha 9 I have already tried, but with same result ....
One option is Boeffla 3.0 and the other is latest PSN kernel. These two are working for different roms
Well f*ck ,seems like it doesn't found the linux/videodev.h while compiling hwcomposer, i installed libv4l-dev and done the trick to use the new replacement videodev version but still not
when you gonna upload the rom I'm waiting anxiously. @aaz03
When I will find Wtf is going wrong with videodev.h
EDIT: Changelog updated , keep an eye on it i'll update as soon I have news.
SOON...

XenonHD is a custom firmware aka ROM for various Android devices. It is built from Android Open Source Project (AOSP) with additional features, performance and battery life improvements.
The idea behind XenonHD is to give users a ROM that is "blazing fast, rock stable and buttery smooth".
Base : Marshmallow 6.0.1_r62
It's Blazing Fast and now Buttery Smooth too! (not sure about stable yet, needs testing)

Well, I just uploaded a new build, and I'm thinking about maybe trying Nougat. Have you tried the ROM?

I have. Since you asked...
The 10-05-16 build is overall stable, but I came across some issues.
A few general runtime errors and the sound subsetting menu FCs on launch. Logcat.
There are graphical issues as well. The brightness slider in the notification pulldown shade is off-center, and long-pressing the scrubber of it causes the brightness panel to appear, also off-center.
The built-in documents app has invisible text...
And, ROM settings > buttons references options for the menu key at the bottom, though there is no such option to add a menu key to the navbar. Curiously, the recents softkey has last app on long press by default it seems, but there are no options for that key in the buttons menu...
XenonHD updater doesn't work with your builds, and MMS is unnecessary for flo.
Otherwise, everything I have tried thus far seems to work fine. I've only been running your latest for a few hours, as I don't care for unofficial Ns thus far, and don't care to keep up with the threads for those builds either. I'm glad to see you all carry on Arham's work, was a long time xenon user while he was involved with it... Carry on.

Yeah, neither do I, it's very confusing. That's why I changed the Based On part of the DevDB to ???. Thanks for reporting all those bugs, I'll try to fix as many of them as I can.

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 8, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review.

OTA support - Nope. Not in the current build. I can consider adding it in the next build.
Official - Nope. But there will be regular updates.

The very intention behind starting a new thread was to provide continued support. Noticed that LOS didn't receive as much support on whyred as other ROMs. And whyred is my secondary device. So I can easily test new builds and upload.

Is it possible to get original recovery.img from latest build so that we have "complete" lineage os 16.1 system?
Do You have some guide for building this ROM and if You have is it possible to share this?
I would like to try build myself something like this so that i can include or exclude something from ROM.
Thank You in advance and i'm sorry if i ask something stupid or inappropriate!

There's build information on the Lineage wiki, it's not entirely straightforward but it's not too tough either. It will take a load of disk space though, 100+GB
https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/whyred/build
I'm not sure how you'd go about pulling in the code for this specific build... git clone in the appropriate location i guess
For anyone wondering, I've flashed this over Kapiljhajhria's build and it booted fine, all seems to be working nicely.
edit: I spoke too soon, finger print enrolment isn't working
when changing Network Mode (3G->2G) in System Profiles, do you get any crashes or errors?

thank you
I've seen this crash/error in all LOS (and LOS-based) 15-16 ROMs I've tried, but still hope to find one without it
and one more question
in LOS 15 there is no circle style battery, but this visual stile was promised to come back in LOS 16
is it present in this ROM?
I can not configure the fingerprint in the startup configuration or later in confuration, I get an error when it's about to finish making the fingerprint
İs fingerprint working now ?
So fingerprint enrollment is working now. Just checking out a few more thing to make sure I haven't broken more stuff.
Build will be up soon
is it possible to add WiFi MAC Randomization from?
