How to share Android's screen with iphone - General Questions and Answers

the concept seems easy enough, surely there is an app that can do that, but which one can actually do the job via wifi, bluetooth or 3g? Thanks!

You haven't asked a question.

What a strange response, what do you mean I didn't ask a question?

[IDEA]Decibelmeter

Ehrm, okey.
I was thinking about creating a decibelmeter-application for windows mobile and have made it half-way so far. Am having some difficulties with programmatically computing the correct output in decibel, ie converting the data gathered to a decibel-number.
I know it has been made before (see post here) but apparently heliosdev gave up or just stopped working on it.
Does anyone have a clue? I know that it will be "quite" in-accurate, but it will still be fit for my needs and give a rough estimate.
Good idea but I don't think that she mics of a PPC are able to give really well-founded absolute results in measurement. Maybe relative values but, well...
Nope, I know, but I think its still able to produce a rough estimate. If I only knew how
If it anybody 2 code, I could deliver the graphics in addition...
Pocket RTA pro - does this, thats if you dont wanna continue programming!
it has an FFT function aswell
I know Pocket RTA but I wanna code something for myself
Im learning and only need a bit of help with a few things. Besides, I just want the decibelmeter, nothing more.
Giving up on this one, too inaccurate and too much development. Asking mods to close the thread.
LOL - that was fast!
Here's an older freeware sound meter I use. http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=37750&d=1177363417 Works OK for a ballpark dB figure

Hehehe, yea, I know, but I kinda realized that its of no use. The measurement will be too inaccurate (basically because of the microphone) and it will take quite alot of horsepower to calculate the dB in realtime I'm afraid. At least if doing it the way I had in mind...

??? No idea; it's never asked me for a password. I found it awhile ago in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=303705

Doesn't really seem like something that could be found with a Google search unless the question has been answered somewhere else. I'm guessing op already tried that or he wouldn't have wasted time posting on a forum. Regardless. How is it hurting you? Love it when people waste their own time trying to point out how other people are wasting time.

Lock Screen?

How have you guys managed to keep information secure in the event of theft? Is there a good lock screen to use? Are you all using separate Google accounts (I like this idea, but Pulse syncs my texts from device right to HU)?

No, that thought had never crossed my mind.
Seriously?
Is your point that since there aren't any meaningful results on this topic that nobody has a viable solution? I mean, this is a forum, no?
A lock screen in a car head unit?
Lol, never needed.

This is an entire firmware replacement. No need to move houses if I just need to replace a door. The issue is security... Yes, it is not needed when driving, but somehow to lock the screen in the event of theft would be helpful.
Steel a unit, boot in recovery and install a Rom.
Lockscreen? For what?
To me no sense.

Right, and what's your plan to keep information safe in the meantime? If stolen, I can less about getting it back or if the thief installs a new rom. It's not about keeping it inoperable. It's about protecting information.
So, back to my original question. What are you (and others) doing to protect information? I would assume that many are using Google accounts solely for the head unit.
Search forums and let us know what you find.
Here's another one for you, since you didnt like the first suggestion: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android-auto/android-head-units/lock-screen-security-t3450461
https://forum.xda-developers.com/search/forum/3833?query=Lock sreen
Would you like fries with that
I can't believe there are people thinking that lock screen has no sense on a head unit.Theft apart, what about car mechanics looking through my mails, chats and so on? Probably the best and fast way would be a launcher that provide some kind of app lock
Another reason to use phone projection (aka Android Auto/Carplay) as the personally identifiable data stays on the connected phone. But that's detour from the original question, I know but just a thought.
